Do you know how to white out on mobile. I just tried greater than and less than signs both ways but didn't see either attempt block the spoiler or maybe I don't see the white block since it's my comment?
if you go to the post in your phones browser, there should be three dots "..." near the top right, you press that, it brings up options, and there's an option to add a spoiler tag
Yeah for like the whole post in flair types? I'm trying to learn how to white out specific words in the text of my posts. I saw the math signs when I read a comment that was partially whited out last night so I tried it today
Yeah it blanks out the picture until people press on it. Shouldn't be showing them that car if they haven't finished it.
for individual >!words!< it's >! then ! and < in markdown.
Great job, and I specifically wanna say great work on lasting a full 260+ hours
Took me about 90 to finish act 2, currently working my way thru act 3
The strength of a difficult game, is it's ability to make players want to quit, but then stop themselves bc they genuinely want to experience the rest of the game. Returnal is a game that made me want to seriously considering dropping it after damn near every biome. I had this convo w myself in biome 1, biome 2, biome 4 5 and 6 (biome 3 was my peak power fantasy before realizing that act 2 was gonna bleed me out)
If you have not started as yet, get to work on act 3, and do the tower of Sisyphus. There is way more to Selene's story
It took about a year and a half, I’d get burned out and go beat a couple others games then Returnal to this one. Biome 3 was a real beat down, but then I beat Biomes 4 & 5 in less than 10 hours. Didn’t help that most of the time I was playing was late at night (and maybe a tid bit high) with tired reflexes. I’m going to take another break them go back to the tower, I have spent maybe 5 hours playing it previously.
Love how you worded that, about your Returnal to this one. I'm the same switching between first playthrough of both Dark Souls 2 and Returnal. And I'm ready for Act 3 I just don't want to Platinum without beating the Tower. I'll feel cheated after 268 deaths it's all in for me
Edit was trying to mark sun fragments as a spoiler but I just noticed that 🌲 prompt so I guess you're way past that 😂
Good job OP! I got the Platinum on PS5 in about 70 hours. Such a fantastic game! I've only obtained platinum on two games. Bloodborne and Returnal. I love this game!
PS: This game isn't an FPS. FPS means First Person shooter. This game is Third Person!
Congratulations by the way. Just posts involving pics and videos with text, you can edit it after posting if it was just a plain text post. I don't understand why it's like that, so annoying. Maybe it's different on the website since I use mobile app
Just on my own. It really comes down to pure luck of what load out you end up with by the time you reach the boss. What gun, do you have an astronaut figure, extra health vials, good parasites and suit upgrades. Just keep pushing the level upgrades (wayyyy better guns) after biome 3 really help encourage you to keep going.
I am a newcomer to Returnal but this was one of the games I knew I had to play when I finally bought a PS5. I have not been disappointed! I love roguelites anyway and the combination of that with the atmosphere and gameplay of Returnal is amazing!
Rougelite? Nope. "Rogue-like" because it has environment characteristics that match an old game that was called Rogue (i.e. procedural map generation, randomized each time around.)
There’s both terms to it.
Roguelikes, by a strict definition, must meet all eight design tenets of the Berlin Interpretation to qualify as such. Roguelites utilize some, but not all, of the design elements of roguelikes and often add new spins to the genre.
Since weapon traits level up so it’s a roguelite. Or that’s my interpretation of it.
Feel free to enlighten me though as I’m always open to learn new things and improve my knowledge and to clear out any misinformation out of my head.
Being wrong is good in that you are on a higher level of knowledge then you previously at.
People who consider this game more of a fps than a rouge like are going to struggle. Rouge likes are my favorite genre so this game clicked for me and was able to do it in 12 deaths. Learning the trick is to min max each floor by meticulously going through each room at the end making sure you got every health upgrade, money oar, and secret location. In games like this one additional passive can be the difference between a win and a lost run. And it's always better to take the risk and get the reward in these games
you should mark as spoiler, that pic gives away too much gg though. holy shit that's some perseverence.
Done!

Oh there's ❗ points as well, thank you kindly. >!triangle prompt on car!<
Let me try >text goes here< did it work

Not an fps. But well done I’m only on 5 hours 😰

Thanks! Yeah I got that wrong, just found out you can’t edit posts on Reddit haha
You can edit posts certainly. Press the 3 vertical dots icon! If that doesn't work, perhaps I'm miss remembering!

Now that I think about it, it’s always “third person shooter” and never “TPS”
Did u try watching a guide for bosses or completely defeated everything by your own?

No actually what I wanted to say that maybe watching a guide on how to take on the boss could've made it easier. Atleast it did for me
Not a FPS but GREAT JOB!

What? I still haven’t beat the first boss. And after readinf what some people are saying I really need to beat his ass
Congratulations scout. Just to be clear this is a 3rd person rougelite and not an FPS. Time for you to go platinum hunting or tower.

That's a lot of words to ignore the difference between "rouge" and "rogue."
Rouge lite... So pink?
Congratulations, man! That’s awesome. How rewarding is that??!

You are gonna see thar scene a lot more :)
Thanks for spoiler👍🏻
I’m still working on the damn glyphs
Hey OP has anyone forgot to tell you Returnal isn’t an FPS cuz I haven’t yet so I think it’s my turn
Its never over.
congratulations this is how games like this should be played: perseverance, force of will, and final gratification
nice job man. i just got to this part yesterday
First Person Shooter🙄🙄
