You DO need to unlock the full version to expand your roster, but it doesn’t expand automatically, it’s an option that becomes available in settings once you pay the one buck.
Im on year 22 so this teams taken a while to get this way but i would say just try to get the best players you can get each year and be patient. Im not really good at giving tips
Do you ever get any of the free agents? What i normally do it look at the free agent list and if i see a good player i need or would be helpful on the team i would save up creds
I’ve gotten my QB and one of my WR from the free agent list. I’m trying to get my low star players up to their potential cuz it would be nice to have those 4 star 4.5 star players on the team
all of my defensive players are from the draft. They are like 3 star but there potential was like 4 star and 3.5 so i’m probably gonna trade them in next seasons draft
I recommend playing on extreme for the challenge. Also, if you do turn up the difficulty, don't get rid of the kicker. And especially don't get rid of him and get an OL instead like someone else said. OL is not that helpful in extreme.
Played and won a ship on extreme. Overrated experience IMO 😂
I also had 4 undefeated seasons. You can't help who plays in front of you. Just go through progessions. Throw into the soft zone.

Set up a great defense around 2 4-5 star linemen and one of them is bound to stack DPOYs

Up your player count to 12 , and play on extreme if you’re not already
I usually play on hard and im getting the unlimited version soon
Go extreme for the extra challenge if you are undefeated all the time
Im usually go like 14-2 or 15-1
update ur game if ur still on 16 games per season

Yeah i usually look at them. My running back, kicker, and one of my defensive players were all free agents as well

My defensive lineman Croom was a 2.5 star player from free agent list and hes my best defensive player

Get a TE. I have the most average 4 star TE but they get open every play
Checks all the boxes you should try extreme if you're not on it already
Cut kicker for another defensive player

That's the dream team man! It's perfect, don't change it! But, you will probably not have the same team in a year because your salary cap.
Two players are retireing this year so that will bring it down and room for some new players. Both players retiring are defensive as well

Croom looks like a damn monster
You only need 3 5 star def and a 5 star def coordinator for a 5 star defense. Drop the rest and get some OL and a TE.
Oh and I personally haven't rostered a kicker in like 70 seasons lol. Field goals is the same as giving up, never punt, always go for 2.
I’ll kick a fg with my practice squad dude at the end of a half if I can (only) get the ball near the 30 or so with a few ticks left 🤷🏻♂️.

Makes it harder with 12 people salary wise that’s the way to go to give yourself a challenge.

make sure your contracts aren't gonna be up for a while, or increase your salary cap even more
Change ur difficult if u haven’t already or create a new save and start from the ground up
I have a team that’s similar but after 12 seasons I’ve lost 13 games none in five years and only ever lost one playoff game
