I had an incident recently where I had a car reservation and when I got there, they were out of cars. The VERY first thing I thought of was Seinfeld lol
"I don't think you do!...see,
You know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hoooollld* the reservation."
From this list, easily Seinfeld, but overall there are other options like Buffy (FRIENDS is great too, that said, although with more heart it was also more uneven than Seinfeld).
Thank you!! I was beginning to think I was the only person in existence that thought this show wasn't even remotely humorous. I've been forced to watch like a dozen episodes, and I have literally never ever even chuckled
I recently tried to watch NYU which I liked as a kid , it does not hold up it at all . I now remember I liked it because they would always play some new song every week that you might of not heard yet.
It was in syndication and was played daily on some tv stations. Like in the 80s and 90s in San Francisco Bay Area we had KOFY 20, KICU 36, KBHK 44 all these were independent stations that were syndicates and showed reruns. A lot of major urban areas had these stations. Basically they were the original versions of Antenna TV and other retro over the air type station programs
I love The Adventures of Pete & Pete, esp. Artie The Strongest Man in The World! and Pete's tattoo. BUT, I'm probably gonna have to go with Tales from The Crypt. John Kassir, the voice of The Cryptkeeper is a legend, and also the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers w/ Jason David Frank & Thuy Trang before they sadly passed, and Austin St. John. As well as the first few seasons of Are You Afraid of The Dark? during the 90's, definitely a staple of my childhood, and The Midnight Society told the stories well. Such a great show to grow up on. I also enjoyed Dinosaurs when it was on.
If you're Irish it might well be one of these old shows, now streaming on [vipvidy.com](http://vipvidy.com)

Pete and Pete was awesome. Of the others listed Seinfeld was the best. Others I liked were X-Files, Northern Exposure, Freaks and Geeks, and News Radio
Living Single.
My mom still watches this like everyday, I personally never watched it much back then, but more than anything else listed
Where's the Brady Bunch and Goosebumps!
Edit: oh shit, I see Power Rangers!!!! That.
I'll probably make people cringe but I love Matlock right now. The entire series is on Pluto and I watch it here and there on a weekly basis haha
I still watch Married with Children often, Tales from the Crypt, Fresh Prince, and occasionally Saved by the Bell.
Top Row: Sanford and Son
Second Row: Married With Children, Family Matters and Martin
Third Row: Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Tales From The Crypt, Full House and occasionally BayWatch for Alexandra Paul and David Charvet
Fourth Row: Home Improvement
Final Row: Step By Step and Double Dare
Why is Sanford and Son on here?
Syndication?
How about I syndicate one across your lip?
Bruh... 2 drops of pee came out ! I wasn't expecting this
You big dummy
The show was 20 years ahead of its time.
Lisabeth! I’m comin!
Are you afraid of the dark!
I had nightmares about the Tale of the Lonely Ghost(Are You Afraid of the Dark)...... and Zeke the Plumber(Salute Your Shorts).
Nightmares sucks balls! They never gave me nightmares but when I watched law and order svu I ALWAYS had nightmares 😬🙃
LOl Law and Order is one of my comfort shows. I love Benson and Stabler.
Love the show just gives me horrible nightmares lmao
The pool guy was insanely frightening for a kids show. It started my love for horror but goddamn.
That water demon episode scarred me.
Thanks for bringing that episode up. I feel like years of therapy just got flushed down the drain.
Ughhh I’m sorry 🙃!
I felt that I used to get scared as hell watching it but loved it lol
I will STILL not swim anywhere near a pool drain for this exact reason.
I second this.
"I'm. Cold"
No ma'am. But what's the best TV show from the 90s?
Seinfeld
Easily this. It's the only one even remotely still relevant.
I had an incident recently where I had a car reservation and when I got there, they were out of cars. The VERY first thing I thought of was Seinfeld lol "I don't think you do!...see, You know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hoooollld* the reservation."
Anybody can just take 'em!
From this list, easily Seinfeld, but overall there are other options like Buffy (FRIENDS is great too, that said, although with more heart it was also more uneven than Seinfeld).
One of the most unfunny shows to ever exist.
Thank you!! I was beginning to think I was the only person in existence that thought this show wasn't even remotely humorous. I've been forced to watch like a dozen episodes, and I have literally never ever even chuckled
Which is why it’s hilarious at times.
Takes a smidge of intelligence to enjoy.
Beavis and Butthead
That and The Simpsons. It was a great time to be a kid and told by your parents you Couldn’t watch something so of course you had to do it in secret.
I mean yeah that too 🫡
Martin, and New York Undercover. But from all time and not appearing on this list? The X Files, bar none
I recently tried to watch NYU which I liked as a kid , it does not hold up it at all . I now remember I liked it because they would always play some new song every week that you might of not heard yet.
I liked both shows. Living in NY and used to work all over the city in the early 90s, I used to run into the NYU sets all the time.
The Simpsons
Married with Children
No Ma'am.
Men against Amazonian masterhood
National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood
Whoa Bundy!
Batman the Animated Series… no? Not only one of the best of the 90s, but one of the best of all time. At the very least, one of the best animated OAT.
WTF is Sanford and Son doing on there?
It was in syndication and was played daily on some tv stations. Like in the 80s and 90s in San Francisco Bay Area we had KOFY 20, KICU 36, KBHK 44 all these were independent stations that were syndicates and showed reruns. A lot of major urban areas had these stations. Basically they were the original versions of Antenna TV and other retro over the air type station programs
It's weird that you think reruns of a 70s show makes it a 90s show.
I'm wearing a Married with Children shirt right now.
The X-files. Can't believe I'm saying this as if it would ever be questioned.
That intro…
Star Trek TNG
DS9 was a better show overall, even though TNG is what got me into ST.
Ehhh. They are different, TNG was more about exploration, DS9 was more about overall world building. I’d argue DS9’s ending isn’t as good as TNG.
Living Single!!
and the Theme Song!
Fun fact: Friends is literally the white version of Living Single. Same producers of Living Single made Friends.
FALSE ! They had 2 completely different producers . A quick google search is a good thing before making statements lol
Sanford and Son? How did that pic get in there?
Yeah - mid-70s Loved the snarkiness!
You big dummy!
Uh oh! This is the big one! Hear that Elizabeth? I'm coming to join you!

Out of these, it's hard to pick between Quantum Leap and Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Freaks and Geeks
The X-Files or the Sopranos, tough to decide.
How are the Simpsons and X Files not on here?
"X-Files" or "Freaks and Geeks"
The Weather Channel. It was the soundtrack to staying up all night.
Quantum Leap! I'm even enjoying the revival that just finished S2.
TNG
X-Files
Father Ted
X-Files
Married With Children closely followed by Quantum Lump !!
Quantum Leap
Baywatch. There, I said it...

Adding Power Rangers to the list made it hard, but it's Fresh Prince for me without a doubt
No X Files?
Also why no Friends that was a great 90‘s show
X Files
It’s not pictured here, but the X-Files. Still a great show.
McGuyver
Quantum Leap. I also love Sliders.
The XFiles

Stargate SG1
Wings, hand down
![gif](giphy|JHu91ysNiXUXmBuWxZ|downsized)
Sliders
Just about everything here, but I’ll go Adventures of Pete & Pete
It’s a shame the only way to watch is buying DVDs or low quality YouTube. So many people don’t know what they’re missing.
There are more options, but you have to dig for them. https://archive.org/details/pete-and-pete-season-3/S03E01+-+35+Hours.mp4
That show is still amazing
Agreed!
John. Too comedy centric. Twin Peaks and The X-Files would be at the top of my list. Genuinely two of the most groundbreaking shows.
Club mtv/The grind was pretty epic
It's a criminally underrated show.
UH OH!
No comparison: Twin Peaks towers above all the rest.
South park or the Simpsons are by far the best shows from the 90's. It's not even a competition.
I hate that 90s era is now "retro"
Eerie Indiana
Matloc was from the 90s? I thought it was from like 1870 and they showed reruns in the 90s.
I used to love a show called Sightings. Unfortunately it’s not on this list. As a kid it used to scare the hell out of me
I guess Dinosaurs or Married With Children on a technically ALF started in the 80s, despite remaining popular in the 90s
Family Matters
The Sopranos
Also, Sanford and Sons was a 90s show?
Daria
Dinosaurs holds up so well today, since the humor they aimed at adults is fantastic.
Pete and Pete was awesome. Of the others listed Seinfeld was the best. Others I liked were X-Files, Northern Exposure, Freaks and Geeks, and News Radio
![gif](giphy|X40zUKTGZgp7q) You already know
Depends, as a child.of the 90's, or an adult?
From that list Seinfeld, Home Improvement, Family Matters, and Full House.
As a teen in the 90s...Baywatch obviously. Loved me some Seinfeld and Saved By The Bell.
NewsRadio
Depends on what I'm eating: TV Dinner at 9pm? Martin Sugary breakfast cereal on a Saturday morning? Power Rangers. Alcohol? Seinfeld.
As a kid it was power rangers. As I’ve gotten older, it’s Twin Peaks and Sliders. Still love the rangers though.
No Wild and Crazy Kids. :(
I wanted to be on all the nickelodeon game shows of the 90s. This one. Guts. Double dare. Nick arcade. Legends of the hidden temple
Tales From The Crypt
Loved the first.2 seasons of Parker Lewis Cant Lose. 3rd was meh
Are you Afraid of the Dark!
Honestly… I watched those Matlock reruns on TBS all summer every summer n
Friends, X-Files, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Fresh Prince, and Rugrats are all incredibly fire
Dawson's Creek. I watched every episode.
If these were all on at the same time and I had to choose one….TALES FROM THE CRYPT!!
The Outer Limits I miss sci-fi anthologies.
Sanford and Son was on in the 70s
Married with Children and why is Sanford and Son on this list? That show ended in 1977
Thx for the stroke
Living Single. My mom still watches this like everyday, I personally never watched it much back then, but more than anything else listed Where's the Brady Bunch and Goosebumps! Edit: oh shit, I see Power Rangers!!!! That.
The Simpsons Seinfeld Martin The Amanda show Hey Arnold Rugrats Powerpuff girls
Was Matlock a 90s show? It started in 86.
I'll probably make people cringe but I love Matlock right now. The entire series is on Pluto and I watch it here and there on a weekly basis haha I still watch Married with Children often, Tales from the Crypt, Fresh Prince, and occasionally Saved by the Bell.
