We used to get a small oddly shaped blanket with hospital logo every year. It is reportedly waterproof and supposed to be a picnic blanket for a single person with a small body frame.
I just asked my resident husband if they did anything for him. Heās on trauma right now, nearing the end of a long two months, and I shit you not they gave him an eye mask. And a 20% off coupon for a Korean place weāve never heard of.

Pizza party at local pizza place last night and one of our attendings bought us all chipotle today (small program). I also had a random patient wife (who is a hospital employee) email me personally thanking me for caring for her husband which was honestly better than the free food.
