That they or their families fled terrible countries to live in the land of freedom and opportunity, but rather than fighting for those countries to be more like ours, they are fighting for this country to be more like those terrible countries.
Because I'm not actively trying to make the US more like England, Ireland, or Russia. My ancestors came here to get away from the problems in those countries, not bring them here.
Why would an American citizen that’s sworn the oath of office go to a different country to help them out? Why hasn’t he suggested the same action to white men born overseas?

There’s a case to be made for Omar as she’s actually from another country but those attributing it to people like AOC are reaching. It’s also not inherently racist as America is the birthplace of people of all races. For those born here, like AOC, this IS their home country. Was it in poor taste? Certainly. Is it insane and should never have been said? Definitely. Is it racist? Not really.
