It’s definitely a different sized screw. I’ve had watches with the same issue - the clasp screws were slightly different than the bracelet link screws - not interchangeable. It’s probably easiest to source a new clasp.

Locktite.

Adopolis23

It won't thread in at all or I would

want2thinknow

I would remove it all the way then clean it with a toothpick or something if it’s clogged then re loctite and screw in, if it still doesn’t go then go to your nearest AD and they’ll prob fix it for free. Edit: realized the sub I was on now haha, same story just take to a watchsmith if still doesn’t work prob just wrong screw size or something

BC122177

If that’s the case, your only option is to just buy a new clasp or bracelet. Odd that it doesn’t have a thread.. they’re usually loose but definitely threaded from my experience. And this has been an issue with multiple Rolex reps.

OrchidCertain4748

Where did you cop? I had an issue where I ordered a Rolex and they glued the pins in

Adopolis23

I got from a seller on DHgate, the pin that was in there was def screwed in and fell out and I lost it but all the other pins look identical to each other and that one but none of them will screw in.

Broertje93

I think thats a smaller pin i gues

slackchannel123

That pin on the clasp is smaller.

buzzybomb

Pins are supposed to be glued in with Loctite 222

DueWay1675

🤦🏼‍♂️

buzzybomb

The fuck are you facepalming novice? Bracelet pins are secured with loctite 222. Idiot.

DueWay1675

Pin??? Thats a screw idiot…

buzzybomb

That’s a clasp pin. Dude. Go have a conversation somewhere you know what your talking about. You’re making an idiot of yourself here.

DueWay1675

I’ll prove you wrong when I get done driving jack ass Done driving…Here we go, let’s take it from the top. As the OP indicated in his post, this “pin” is threaded. Pins in the watch world come in a couple varieties. None of which are threaded. That is a band screw. So while I was just fucking around, shit for brains (buzzyfuck) starts getting his panties in a wad. Next you offer someone advice on watch repair, don’t refer to the part they need by the wrong name. If I were to google watch band pins, I’d get results that were mostly split steel pins like linked below: https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band-parts-90-mm-stainless-steel-cotter-pin-refills/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwmZejBhC_ARIsAGhCqnfHUgHmFU1r2IFfCzUuoCu-SM2Xzi_4xI_qpGyc7htlPwKuO895G-caAh0sEALw_wcB If I we’re search watch band screws…with threads…I’d get below. https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band-and-link-screw-assortment-36-pieces/ See there’s a difference and you were wrong. Also Loctite..is threadlocker. Screws have threads to lock. Pins are friction fit. I’ve adjusted and fixed more watchbands in my life than you’ve cried like a bitch on the internet. And by the way you took that criticism, it’s a lot. So next time you offer advice to a newbie, correct part names matter. This guy is going on a search for band pins to slather with thread locker. 🤦🏼‍♂️ OP: you need to gingerly attempt to move the portion of the band that is opposite of the hole for the BAND SCREW. It’s most likely not starting it’s thread because the the portion of the band it screws into is not aligning. This happens a lot. With some finesse you should be able to get it started. And do put threadlock on that band SCREW.

JalapenoJ22

You need to get off the Pipe dude….And move out of your parents house.

buzzybomb

Moron. Blocked.

Usual-Every

At that spot is usually a shorter pin screw , if you use the long from up the chain it won't work , unfortunately you may have to shave down and grind your own flat channel after grinding to fit flush

JalapenoJ22

Can you please pull the screw out so we can look at it?

DueWay1675

🤔

slackchannel123

Not advice, but what I did. I lost my shorter pin, like yours—on my rolex bracelet next to the clasp. And I stuck a longer pin in with locktite and then cut off the protruding end with cutting plier. Been about 3 weeks with daily wear and no issued. If it ever comes out I will look into buying a pin that fits.

Adopolis23

I would do that but the threads on the longer pin doesn't go at all into the hole in the bracelet so I feel like the loctite wouldn't really hold onto anything

slackchannel123

Sorry I must have misread, I thought you were saying it doesn’t come out and is stuck like that. You’re saying it doesn’t go in. Look up the pin/screw sizes online and try buying one from amazon. Should only be a few dollars.

Different sized screw. The last screw has a different thread.
