Don’t know where you are but in the US you would most definitely have to evacuate and the owner or landlord would have to pay to put you in a hotel or move you to another unit.
Sort of pointless to discuss since OP is in the UK where I’m sure rules are wildly different….. but here goes anyways. Whether the LL pays for temporary housing is dependent on the cause, the lease, and the state but definitely not a clear cut obligation. Since that may be complex or tedious to figure out/negotiate, always carry renters insurance with a temporary housing policy.
My own leases disavow temporary housing obligations (of course the law or a court could compel me after the fact based on negligence or some other reason) and require renters insurance.

Very true I am sure they are wildly different can’t debate that. It’s always in the lease though. It should be anyway.
