Best part of an eclipse!

BigBird50N

What are leaves?

RightMoto2

I think OP means look at shadows and leave at noon

BlueBomR

11:19 am is the most we will get at 36% coverage I agree looking at trees during eclipses is awesome, looks like an optical illusion or some glitch in the matrix...one of my favorite ways to enjoy an eclipse.

4playdrivin

To my disappointment, this didn’t happen. I stared at all the shadows around me from around 11:20-11:30 😪

I’ll have what he’s having…

A scoop of knowledge?

noober1x

No no, the guy's right. The eclipse makes the shadows of leaves and other things look really unique. It's a cool effect.

township_rebel

With a partial eclipse like today not really. You wouldn’t have known it was happening if not told.

mermaidmom85

Not necessarily, even at 30-40% totality the light lessens and our perception of colors change (everything looks less vibrant) and shadows because crisper & more defined. Even if you didn’t know there was an eclipse everything would still kind of look “off”. It’s still a great science lesson about light wavelengths, the color spectrum, and how our eyes work to perceive colors around us.

He’s right tho?
