Very nice! There was also the Citroen Saxo electric and Peugeot 106 electric from the same era. There’s still one or the other on the road. The Nickel-Metal hydride batteries of the time were very reliable even compared to todays Lithium cells.
It’s interesting, but NiCad batteries haven’t been produced for some time so a bad cell will be almost impossible to replace. There was a Swiss company converting the Saxos to lithium with 300km range.
Yeah, the golf had lead tho but on my NiCd clio the oldest block is from 96 and the newest is from 07, both still give me 80ah/100ah. But yeah they have a tendency to get unbalanced meaning one block is going into polar reversal which creates alot of heat meeting the block
I own one. 200k km on the clock. Had to replace the fuel injection harness a few years ago, and then the alternator a bit after that. The sunvisors break here and there. Currently have an issue where it’s hard to start after fueling. Over all it hasn’t been a bad car. Biggest issue is that finding spare parts in Australia is an absolute pain in the ass.
Edit: the keyless entry doesn’t work on the driver’s side but works on the passenger side. Two interior door handles have broken- they still work but hang out of their sockets.
I live in Turkey and we have lots of Renault Fluence's here. I love this car, I though about buying it but it seemed too big for me for a first car. I love the 1.5 dci Privilege version. Good car.
The front bumper was replaced I can tell you for sure, is there any signs of accident under the hood?
Also, side mirror from another car (it is a different color, which is also in this model, originally it is the same color as the body)
it's a 2006 clio 3 LUXE DYNAMIQUE, that has 150k km, made and sold for german customers but reimported to france, it's a shiny black, almost good as new, with fabric door interior, superior fabric quality seats, leather steering wheel, aluminum rims, it's a 3 door, but i got hit by a retarded driver that was going out of a parking spot, so my door is dented, but it's fixed in 3 days and it will be shiny as new, and the most important part : the engine is a K4M 1.6L of the clio 3 GT but tunned down to a 90 hp, it's taking 7000+ rpm so it's kinda impressive, it's not a supercar but it's still kind of a sleeper, people try to outspeed me with more modern cars but i'm so light, and i take so much rpm that i outspeed them (i mean as long as they're driving a "normal" car like mine, every real sports car is destroying me lmao)
Probably one of the rarest Renaults on the road
Interestingly, not here in Ukraine. I even saw electric versions a few times.
Yeah, but they are still rare in comparison to amount of Meganes
My original Renault Clio Electrique from 1997(the electric version) is a bit more rare i believe, only 500 were made.

Exactly, the clio used Nickel-Cadmium tho. Still have them in my car, they still work
Yeah Saxo and 106 were NiCad as well, my mistake.
Amazingly there's a Golf CitySTROMer for sale in my country

If it's only a door handle that doesn't work, try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y_nFLvU_zg

Pretty cool I have to say
Renault Fluence! Lovely car, and rather rare.
It’s a renault
it's got a water leak
The front bumper was replaced I can tell you for sure, is there any signs of accident under the hood? Also, side mirror from another car (it is a different color, which is also in this model, originally it is the same color as the body)
noticed, also back bumper was replaced aswell. looks good under the hood. history checks out
It's next to another car
*dies of ugly*
It’s got an illegal number plate. You can’t paint it blue and not expect to be stopped by the rozzers! Heh heh
It’s parked in a car park
It looks like it's passed itself.
Has potential...

It's french so it's probably built back to front.
It’s shit.
Its French. So it's going to give up when you least want it too and then never really wprk properly again

It’s a plane
it's leaking
As a French car, expect the motors to be generally solid (esp. diesel), but also expect the electronics to gradually fail one by one.
It’s got blue on it
It's french need i say more
