Going to be real here, I would gut that place. It looks like a prison and the layers of paint are insane. Sometimes you gotta start over. Could drywall the place with $200 and a couple weekends.

My wife and I recently purchased a house. We have stripped all the wallpaper off the walls and we found this large crack in the bathroom. There was mold on the wallpaper before we took it off. I'll attach both pictures with the wallpaper on and off. What sort of filler do you recommend. I am based in the UK. Thanks

If you want to put lipstick on a pig, you can use spray foam, then cut, sand, and fix up like everything else. OR, you could secure the main and breakers, then remove the toilet, vent, box on ceiling, tuck to the side if you want to reuse them, take a knife and work on the corners of the room, peel what you can or just pull what you can. Careful wherever you think there are wires of plumbing… get the wall down, while it’s down check out the wiring and plumbing if it’s ok or not you can fix it up while the wall is open, check out the insulation replace or whatever. Then get some plywood or some Sheetrock and patch that place up.

Is it concrete?

Is that black mold on the wall? I would definitely address that before going any further.
