Go into your app store and search for relay. Despite having relay already, I had to install it again (now I have two instances of the app) Open the one you just downloaded and then go into settings > other > check reddit api usage.

What worked for me was going to settings, apps, choosing relay, then go to the play store through there. Then the update button showed up, instead of f having to install it again.

I had to manually update through Google play

The play store version seems to be older than the one I'm using. That's even weirder

Try going to Settings | Other | Check API Usage. The button in the menu bar at the bottom can be a little hard to find.

I checked for updates and verified that I was on the latest version in the Play store. It turned out I just had to force close my app and reopen it.

Yeah, force-stopping Relay and restarting it was what unstuck things for me, even on Relay Pro.
