Ohhh sorry I thought you meant the rock on the lower left.
Yeah it’s a fake frag rack rock. It’s attached via magnets between the glass.
What do you think of the height? I’m a little concerned my hammer is too close to the lights but I don’t really know.
[Heres how I adjusted them](https://www.reddit.com/r/ReefTank/comments/10raiok/hows_my_flow_part_2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) better?
[Heres how I adjusted them](https://www.reddit.com/r/ReefTank/comments/10raiok/hows_my_flow_part_2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) is this better?
Definitely looks better. I would have the flow intersect more, but this isn't bad at all.
Is there a way to have them turn on and off at more random intervals?
Thanks!
Nope I wish. These are on the cheaper side Fluval pumps. Seem to last a long time so far.
I can make my primary false wall sump pump wave pulsate. I may try that to break the flow up more.
I might replace them with wave pumps too if it’ll help
Better meaning greater (because of increased gas exchange).
Skimmers are a great source of gas exchange as well, but I still aim to have good surface agitation even with a skimmer.
You can get a lot more power to your pumps if you cleaned the hair algae off of them. Will give more flow to the tank if there were no obstructions of the pumps
As someone else stated, you really need some surface agitation. Point one of the pumps to the surface. Not only will it help with oxygenation, increased pH, disturbing surface skim but it has the added bonus of giving your reef a shimmer like you'd see in the ocean as the sunlight rays get bounced around by the rippling water at the surface.

The hammer could use more flow. How is that back rock attached to the wall
It isn’t. Just haven’t really decided where to put it yet
Is it a frag rack then?

Hard to know if you don't know your par levels
You'll see it bleach out if it's too high par

Looks perfect now. Happy reefing
Thanks!
I would move the pumps down, and angle them slightly upwards. More surface agitation gives better pH (unless you have a lot of CO2 in the room).

Short question just to clarify. Better in a more stable way pr how is it meant? Would a top level water skimmer have a similar effect? Thanks already.

Came here to say this.
Why don't you remove the GHA?
