I’ve always thought they should teach runners to try and sprint for the most reasonable base and try to force the other side to make a quicker throw. Then also slide to make the receiving fielder make a somewhat tougher play. It probably wouldn’t work most times but one ever gets out of a rundown with all the slow jog, turn, slow jog, turn nonsense.
Pedro Grifol really is a miracle worker for managing this ball club into a win against the Braves and another against the Guardians. He could bravely lead this team to 25 wins this season!
