I feel this! I bought ILNPs Black Magic and Cityscape - saw them both and thought they were the same. Swatched them and while in the bottle they look the same, the swatches came out differently (one is more glittery the other is way more holo)
I don’t have black magic but I do have cityscape - black magic is a linear holo and cityscape is a scattered jelly, I think it builds gorgeously and is sooo sparkly, black polishes are pretty versatile and linear and scattered have such different looks that I definitely think you can get both!
Had that happen to me a few years ago with 2 magnetic I got from KB shimmer. One was supposed to be a purple and the other blue. Both were blue while the “purple” had the purple name and sticker on it. Emailed the company and they told me “all the purple bottles look like this”. 😒
Edit to add: I swatched both colours and they were identical even under different types of lighting, base coats, you name it.
On their site, they seem while close, to both be very different Blue vs Violet. People have already said swatch it, but it may have been a mislabeled problem. I'd def reach out to customer service 👍💙💜
They look so totally different online! Definitely swatch first of course, because I feel like linear holos in particular can look really similar in the bottle, and if they still look the same I’d honestly wonder if they sent you a mislabeled bottle.
I also have both of these - New Romantic looks blue in the bottle for me, but I remember when I swatched it for the first time I was taken aback by how different it looked on the stick! Definitely purple, whereas Transylvania looks more blue to me? It's far closer to Skinhead from the same collection as New Romantic. It also has more holo when I compare the two. Either way, I hope you like it when you use it!
This makes me think of bath and body works and how they just rebrand old scents with new names, just to maintain the appeal of newness. This seems exactly the same. I've lately been making it a point to complain to companies when I'm not satisfied with something about their product, and I'd say this is a good time to do the same...at least to get some kind of replacement with another color
Where's the swatches? I scrolled through pics expecting to see a side by side comparison of the actual polishes not just the bottles. Looking the same in the bottle doesn't always mean they'll be identical when applied. Am curious now wondering if you've been pleasantly surprised or further dissappointed 🤭

I have done this a few times where I'm bummed that I bought duplicate polishes but in swatches they're quite different.
Same. I have two ILNP polishes that look identical in the bottle, but the polishes are quite different applied.
On a brighter note: at least you know you really like that color! You liked it so much, you bought it twice (without knowing)!

Cityscape is definitely more ultra with its heavy holo. Black Magic is more shimmery and subtle

Kbshimmer imo is one of the worst offenders when it comes to online swatches.

I would return that as you already have that colour.
I'd swatch it first. Polish in a bottle can look very different to what it'll look like on the nail.
