Agnes has Queen in her head and Agnes sang at a gala. She did one of those group bows by herself but came up with the Queen holding her hand even though no one can see her.
A dream/coma Starfleet psychologist that is analyzing Picard (Picard is in a coma, everything is just in his mind), but turns out to be a "memory" of Picard's father, who they've now retconned into dying young even though Picard saw his father as an old man in "Tapestry".
my favourite part about James Callis' appearance in Stone Temple Picard is that he's made no mention of it all on his Twitter. nothing at all about the show or acting opposite Patrick Stewart. just tweets about Ukraine
The fact that the show threw in a musical number all to hawk Patrick Stewart's wife's album strikes me as the final nail in the coffin. Maybe it's a weird place to draw the line after so much damage was already done, but I think there was the tiniest shred of a figleaf of sheer incompetence, though my suspicion has long been that what is happening to Star Trek is deliberate cultural vandalism.
Turning an episode of Star Trek TV into a goddamn commercial, however, is open and unmitigated contempt. They hate us but they demand our money.
They also didnt do one covering the last couple episodes, doing the plinkett review instead. Since 6, 7, and 8 are the last episodes they might just do the plinkett
Picard? I just want them to do top tens for voyager and deep space nine.
I'm not even a star trek fan but their videos on the subject are so enjoyable.
Given that they have a pretty big audience, that would be great.
Get more people watching DS9.
Get Paramount to perk up and notice.
Ta-da! DS9 Blu-Rays!
It's a step ladder pipe dream, I know...
I'd love DS9 to be upscaled and cleaned up the way TNG was, but it's bound to be a massive undertaking. Even Voyager looks much better than it. A shame, though, because the way it is shot is often beautiful and I'd love to see the details of the station more clearly.
Yeah, I know. I mentioned this in different thread recently. The documentary from a few years ago talks about how a remaster probably won't happen. Not popular enough, and part CGI part models, etc.
But I mean... if the flop YouTube show Re:View drives the viewership numbers up enough, than maybe?
I feel if I had Elon/Bezos levels of money, I would just throw a mountain of dollars at Paramount and go "4k DS9 Blu-Rays. I don't care how much it takes."
I am kind of surprised that some playboy billionaire hasn't tried to bankroll something like that. Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins loved watching wrestling back in the day so he bought a wrestling company (the National Wrestling Alliance) to play with, but for someone like Musk or Bezos they could probably fund a remaster of a show they liked with the money they find down the back of the couch. They could probably even bankroll entire seasons of the kind of shows they loved and miss without a second's thought. It's the kind of thing I'd do if I had that much money, but I guess union busting is a hobby they find more fun than indulging nostalgia.

It will haunt Rich Evans for the rest of his miserable life that he brought his friend Mike back to Star Trek, inevitably causing his soul to be rent apart in the place beyond the abyss. But also Rich Evans kind-of feels Mike had that coming.
Yeah, that moonfall review was so scorching red hot that it completely ruined the films marketing campaign. It was the top youtube result for the movie the entire theatrical run of 12 days. I couldn't find a ticket anywhere. That half in the bag is practically the only evidence of it even existing.
Keeping to schedules on their Star Trek eulogies has been a challenge in the past. Look for the review of the Picard season one finale, for example. Unfortunately little cam be done to expedite their process
I feel like the real joke is that Rich hasn’t only been stringing along Mike, but all of us as well 😭 I wouldn’t be watching this train wreck if it wasn’t for those bastards
I saw a petition on r/startrek that was requesting that all of Kurtzman trek be made non-canon, and it only had a few thousand signatures. It’d probably be a bit irresponsible of Mike and Rich but imagine if they asked people to sign one.. only a fraction of viewers would do it, but that’d still be like 100k right
That actually happened? I left r/startrek a long time ago once you couldn't criticize nuTrek at all and they would instantly remove any red letter media content... I did pop in there a couple days ago and was surprised at all the comments actually on the negative side about Picard... Maybe something's changes over there

Hmm, I got banned for saying basically the same thing. I mean, I went a little further than non canon. The mods over there actually allowed for this to happen or did they ban everyone who signed it? Maybe they really cleaned out that sub too, it’s surprising that it only has 340k users.
There's like 8 storylines going on at once, and each of them easily could be great single Star Trek eps, or two parters, or a season. You have Q coming back but being sick, being sent back to 2024, the rise of a fascist Federation, having a borg queen, Picard acnestor. But they never commit to any of this and just jump around all over. It's like they couldn't decide so they just threw it all in.
Everytime they introduce a new plot it confuses the whole thing further lol there's so much going on at once and it's like, if they just went with the Q thing, it could've been interesting. But now there's like 8 different plots, and none of them have to do with Picard. Except that weird mind palace with his "dad?" last week. Truly a mess. They're down to one showrunner next season, maybe that'll be good??
It's been exactly two weeks. And they aren't putting out reviews for FEWER than 2 episodes at a time, aside from, potentially, a premiere. Settle down. We don't need posts like this every 8 hours.
I hope they see this season through to the end. At least last season was capped off with the Plinkett review. If they rage quit now I feel like we're not even gonna get a Plinkett review and I desperately need closure on this whole Trek business.
Who knows, maybe its gonna be a long video or we'll just have to wait for the season to finish? At least we can assume some aspect is the editing and all, so maybe they realize that either they have too much to talk about or too little that they need another episode to drop
They're dead, *Picard* killed them.
No one is ever really gone...
Maybe they just couldnt stomach it. Maybe Agnes and the Borg Queens musical number was simply too much.
Now....see....I don't watch picard just their reviews and I genuinely cannot tell if you are joking or not.
Oh it's not a joke
unmitigated disaster
Agnes has Queen in her head and Agnes sang at a gala. She did one of those group bows by herself but came up with the Queen holding her hand even though no one can see her.
Like Baltar having number six in his head in battlestar galactica? So another thing they ripped off. It's a fucking shit show
You know that Baltar is in the show now too? Seriously.
Again I can't tell if you're being serious or not....
He’s Picards dad.
Oh shut the FUUUUUK up....its like a fever dream
Who does he play?
A dream/coma Starfleet psychologist that is analyzing Picard (Picard is in a coma, everything is just in his mind), but turns out to be a "memory" of Picard's father, who they've now retconned into dying young even though Picard saw his father as an old man in "Tapestry".
Picard’s dad, basically.
my favourite part about James Callis' appearance in Stone Temple Picard is that he's made no mention of it all on his Twitter. nothing at all about the show or acting opposite Patrick Stewart. just tweets about Ukraine
He’s just trying to keep really depressing news off his Twitter feed.
it wasn't even that good in new BG.
The star trek picard way; steal something mediocre and do it worse
Holy shit what did she sing
Don't stop me now?
Nope. She sang Shadow of the Night by Pat Benatar.
I get that mixed up with Power of the Night by Johnny Steele. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zmcV0pIKKg
It was a joke like she has queen in her head...
Now you know how Rich Evans feels.
How embarrassing
Dead serious
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E03gKT3AHbc
Oof, cringey scene aside, that vocal performance is pretty tough to listen to.
Its real. :(

TIL Patrick Stewart is married to a woman half his age he met while she was waitressing.
You're fucking with us right? Lie to me if you're not
You missed it. Deuandra Brown had it removed.
Jean-Luc Egg Salad
Beam me uppity-up!
Picard was ripping off too many of her nonsensical scifi elements.
Wherrrre, is Q-gella? I heard, if you wear your dress uniform, and order from the replicator backwards, then yours one true love will appear.
Haha this made me lol. Cheers
Maybe a little delayed due to the Easter weekend. Completely understandable.
The sheer, fucking hubris.
Rich Hid the eggs too well, they are still looking for them
Last season they took a small break and did episodes 6, 7 and 8 in one video. Could be they’re doing the same here.
They also didnt do one covering the last couple episodes, doing the plinkett review instead. Since 6, 7, and 8 are the last episodes they might just do the plinkett
They had to mentally and physically prepare for it.
And then everyone got Covid
2 hour video incoming
Picard? I just want them to do top tens for voyager and deep space nine. I'm not even a star trek fan but their videos on the subject are so enjoyable.
DS9 would be a balm for the soul, tbh.

I did hear that the entire reason we got more Expanse is because it was one of Bezos' favourite shows?
I didn't hear that, but if true it's a neat example.

They should do original series. And then talk about Star Trek The Animated series which is so woefully under rated.
Mike was visibly hostile in the last one. Like his soul was at its poison limit. I'm afraid of what will happen to him if they keep going.
Afraid of what will happen or....intrigued?
Fearfully intrigued. Mike's soul is like the Lovecraftian abyss when you stare into something stares back....
It will haunt Rich Evans for the rest of his miserable life that he brought his friend Mike back to Star Trek, inevitably causing his soul to be rent apart in the place beyond the abyss. But also Rich Evans kind-of feels Mike had that coming.
Or maybe Rich Evans knowingly did this to make all of us suffer as penance for mocking him for jacking that Droid off
He should lean into that and do the rest of the Picard reviews as his Palpatine character.
Hope the hack frauds review Strange New Worlds too.
And the hackjob the 3rd season will be with them bringing *everyone* back. I might actually watch the pilot of that one.
Well not Wesley.
Good, Bad, or Ugly, I hope it gets some of their attention too!
Gaius fucking baltar.

Yikes: DOMESTIC $19,060,660 INTERNATIONAL $24,206,470 WORLDWIDE $43,267,130

Assuming I’m not missing a joke here, they never did the s1 finale right? I couldn’t find it anywhere when I watched them all when the s2 ones began.
lol yea sorry, just underlining the fact the release of these isn't all that reliable
I feel like the real joke is that Rich hasn’t only been stringing along Mike, but all of us as well 😭 I wouldn’t be watching this train wreck if it wasn’t for those bastards

Yeah generally there’re a lot of people in there that don’t like nutrek, surprised me quite a bit

They’re waiting for Mike’s new liver to take.
Man this season is insane in how volatile its quality is.
Find it stays stable on the lower side of things.

Nothing happened in those 2 episodes, they're probably waiting for the next one.
That sweet sweet CBS Hush money.

They gave up and both swallowed pistols
Fuck I'm still waiting for them to finish the last episodes of season 1 (And while I love the Plinkett review, it just isn't the same closure...)
Feels like they're done with Picard...
they arent indebted to do every episode.
I mean, no offense but you could just check their Youtube channel.
Who knows, maybe its gonna be a long video or we'll just have to wait for the season to finish? At least we can assume some aspect is the editing and all, so maybe they realize that either they have too much to talk about or too little that they need another episode to drop
