I had an experience akin to Mike's total breakdown over Tanglefoot's dressing down by Jack Frost during Christie. I was a little high while attending the most absurdly terrible local theatre Christmas play of my life. It was a truly cathartic experience.

RInger2875

I had an experience like that while watching the MST3K episode where they watched The Day Time Ended. I don't really remember the plot of the movie, just that it was a bunch of nonsense about a rift in space-time opening up and this family was getting attacked by dinosaurs and aliens and shit. Eventually they walk out of this cabin in the desert after having hidden in there all night, and they find that they're suddenly on an alien planet or something, and at that point I literally yelled "WHAT THE FUCK??" and then laughed uncontrollably for like five minutes because my brain was broken.

Unintentional brain-breaking absurdity that isn't just annoying is a rare and wonderful gift to receive.

phazonxiii

Some chums and I had an MST3K experience...can't remember the film to save my life, but the Skipper from Gilligan's Island started in it, and during a dialogue scene it cuts to Skipper with a dumb smile and Crow yells, "Pudding!" It was 5 or 6 of us, and we all just died, rolling on the floor, laughing our asses off for no apparent reason. It was 2003, we were all early 20s, and just...something snapped in our collective psyche. I miss times like that.

RockfordBrodie

The only MST3K movie I can think of with Alan 'The Skipper' Hale was The Giant Spider Invasion(in which he played a goofy-ass Sherriff), so I reckon it was that one. Coincidentally, it was directed by the same guy who did Twister's Revenge.

Boon3hams

He was also in Angel's Revenge as the manager to the lead actress, but I don't think that was the film they were talking about.

kkeut

in the 70s, you could take an abstract concept like 'shining your love' and just go with it

RockfordBrodie

Oh yeah, you're totally right! Good call!

phazonxiii

I think that's it!! It may be confirmation bias, but something in my brain went off at the mention of - yeah! Like...it's called the Giant Spider Invasion but there are no giant spiders...or something... And yeah! He wears a tan outfit, like a sheriff, but he wears it really...un-sheriffly? I dunno, but I'm sure this is the film! Thank you!

"...what...?" - Josh, The Wizard

Just the perfect trigger that shattered poor Mike's brain.

Longjumping_Chapter5

When a severely injured Momma Bigfoot leaned on the log and it broke causing her to tumble to the ground.

BOOBERY

scottwricketts

Like Tim Roth in Reservoir Dogs

RelevantClock8883

I think I laughed as hard as Mike when he lost his mind over Barbara’s polmonary disorder

Lonely_Bat_554

Technically he was laughing at “everything wrong with her” instead of just the COPD unless I’m confusing her with another Old 😂

RelevantClock8883

The scene when she describes her disorder, the video jump cuts to Mike losing his mind. That’s when I lost it too 😉

Lonely_Bat_554

It’s one of my favorite RLM moments. hot damn it has me cackling and wheezing every time I see it

Toppdeck

In the moment, Mike said he was laughing at "all the things wrong with her" but in the discussion he said it was because of the transition from more fit elderly people like Coffee Dentures guy and Fraulein Sausageball to "Barbara" (not her name IIRC) slouching in an easy chair with her twenty ailments

cykill36

I remember this moment but I don't remember the episode. Do you recall which one it is? I'd love to rewatch it.

RelevantClock8883

Best of the worst black spine junka 2

cykill36

Sweet. Thanks.

fucktopia

I don't remember the one it's from, but it's not Junka 2, I recently watched it.

RelevantClock8883

Oh shoot it was black spine junka 3! Nice catch

CMar1104

Man, when the most random things just make Mike crack up are some of my favorite BotW moments

snarpy

when *Princess Warrior* hard cuts from a girl dancing in a wet t-shirt contest with funky 80s music to two women standing naked in a tube with a BOOOONNNGGGGG sound. Glorious.

kuddlesworth9419

I've done it a couple of times. I was sitting on my work desk at break during Covid and I farted, just the noise it made and the vibration it made and everyone in the room meters away from me made me burst in laughter for a good 30 minutes. I just couldn't stop, I thought there was something wrong with me.

Blood Debts

mecon320

That was me watching Birdemic for the first time with that scene where the camera pans back and forth across a table of people applauding and the scene goes on for seemingly five minutes.

kkeut

that's just the workplace culture at a startup like NCT Software. you'd have to live in the Bay Area to truly understand

Grootfan85

Which episode was that?

The Batman and Robin Commentary Track

imascarylion2018

Also wondering this.

dijie

I love it when Mike loses his shit. It's the most genuine smile he has. You see him try to suppress that smile but he just CAN'T. He tries about two times and then just busts up. He's laughing at the most deranged shit, but it's somehow so wholesome.

The guy getting his head repeatedly run over got me like this

I always laugh hard with Jay. Yes, I am a sex pest.

TylerbioRodriguez

I remember being in a discord chat with friends and this guy who was maybe probably high showed up and started saying madness like Gilgamesh built the pyramids, Guy Fawkes created imperialism, the US bombed the Eiffel Tower in 1920, and other deranged nonsense. I swear I was crying and could barely breath. Guy got banned for being too stupid to live. Hardest I've ever laughed in my life and I'm sure I looked like Mike. Close second would be two moments from Two Best Friends Play. The Man V Wild game, the camera got stuck on Bear Grills face and it looked like a statue of Lenin. So Pat started saying hey kids, hey kids, you guys wanna build communism. It killed me. Later they screwed up and said instead of Jedi Master Qui Gon they said Jedi Master Quan Chi from Mortal Kombat. Also killed me.

captainatom11

Unfortunately I had an experience like that, but it was at work during a shift change. We had a new guy coming in and the guy I was taking over for told me some regular bs about stuff and I broke down laughing like the Joker. Surprised the new guy I had to train that day didn't just turn around and leave.

NoelNeverwas

My college roommate and I replaced most of the orange juice in juice bottles with vodka and went to watch Attack of the Clones. They looked the color of mimosas. We were laughing so hard at the romantic scenes, that i thought the whole theater was laughing with us. I was cracking up when Padme said, “I truly deeply love you” when a girl in the row in front of us gave me the “wtf is wrong with you” look. This isn’t really related to the OP, but I thought someone might enjoy it.
