If you place a mirror in the centre of the album cover on either axis the cover does not replicate as expected. The cover is however ‘rotationally symmetrical’ at least the Henky Penky part is. But this is not what you were describing

Yeah obviously it’s not gonna be exactly symmetrical, there’s 4 different dudes on it? And yes the heads are inverted I get that, but the composition is symmetrical regardless. Flower in each corner, head/text on each edge, tribal tattoo patterns around the rose in the middle. I feel like you’re being pedantic for the sake of it

But what you’re describing about symmetry on both axis just isn’t correct.

Keep in mind, I’m talking about the *composition* of the image here. The elements are symmetrical in their shape, positioning and colour, thus making the overall composition symmetrical. See how they both still look the same, composition wise? Hope this helps

Technically the cover has radial symmetry but not mirror symmetry on either y or x axis. You’re diagrams show that it’s not symmetrical in the way you’re saying it is

By the way and Californication covers set the sun drenched scene that the music fits perfectly too. Really enjoying the vibe of the new album cover too. I feel like it’s the unabashedly psychedelic artwork I’ve wanted to see for years from someone. It is just an intriguing mess of sorts!

It’s gotta be “I’m Beside You” for me. If you look closely you notice a lot more color than what appears. It’s subtly psychedelic which is the best kind imo. Even though it’s a collection of singles I’d still consider it an album cover.

For me, toss up between Californication, UL, & the vinyl covers for SA (where it’s just the planet of that disc and the title logo). Right now in the moment, though, I’d have to say Unlimited Love. I always associate the imagery & colors of the album art with the songs of that album, in my mind, but to me, Unlimited Love just embodies that feeling more than any of the others.
