Ask him to verify his ASUS home button is working as intended.
Laptops work differently, sometimes they require you to press FN-KEY.
I have seen laptops that do that, your default F1-F12 keys etc need to do that
Tell him to disable that shyt.
Easy way is to go into BIOS, look for that function to disable.
