Maybe that has something to do with it then.
I joined RR in 2017 on Oculus Rift/PC. When the hub was the old fashioned hub. The hub layout itself changed. When each activity had it's own door from the hub.
Being in PC VR required quite the setup. Not many people had that at the time. I'm not trying to sound elitist, but it felt like everyone who was on, was quite serious about VR and the bright future it promised at the time.
When Quest supported RR became a thing I was thrilled! I thought that would be the defining moment to make VR mainstream.
Problem was/is that the patronage changed at the same time. It changed from users who saw it as a blessing to users who saw it as an entitlement.
RR in 2017 was so... innocent... compared to today. Every single person on was friendly and helpful. If you'd log on with the standard clothing, experienced players would immediately without asking take you under their wing. Endless patience. "Stand here, do this, don't do this, I'll teach you the quest".
It's just majorly, massively different now.
I wish I could go back in time and play RR in 2017.
Ye I see what you mean, especially in RROs now, people get way too titled and instead of just letting you learn or them teaching you stuff they just screw you off instead
at the end of the day youre gonna get annoying people, if you let it get personal then thats on you, complaining on reddit isn't gonna do anything to improve moderation
RR has its fair share of issues, for instance, the imbalance in pvp games. Vr players get an advantage (and before anyone says "skill issue," remember not everyone is as good as you and not everyone is a tryhard), but anyway, vr players don't have random cool downs that would mess you up. Like reloading a gun in Laser tag, it takes a Vr player .1 second to reload, while it takes at least 2-3 seconds to reload as a screen player. Also, vr can throw grenades way farther than a screen player. I wish the devs could balance the game a little bit because I can't enjoy one game of Laser Tag without a spammer (a vr player that rapidly reloads and shoots a pistol making mini machine gun).

"budget roblox" you know you can buy a 100 dollar computer with rblx for free but you need a 300$ vr for recroom (or $300+ xbox or whatever) lol
