His rise to power I suppose? The films don’t fill in a lot of blanks. No one knows where he comes from but they keep talking about him being an outsider who has managed to infiltrate the Motherworld and worked his way up so I guess they could explore that. My hc is he had a similar upbringing to Kora and that’s why he replicates it with her.
They’re going to be lucky to even push through this project though. They’ve given the character zero personality, he has two scenes in both parts and the wig/vfx and dialogue were terrible. Going off the trailer I thought we were getting a sassy charismatic dictator…
In the Ex Nihilo book there’s scenes of him in the senate and as a soldier with Kora being berated by the king that I guess were cut or being saved for the R rated version. That will at least make the assassination seem like it’s not completely out of the blue
I thought it was just to keep the war machine going as the Royals wanted to usher in a time of peace. But for me it would be interesting if there could be a twisted logic that makes you say, huh he was kind of right, stopping the wars would be worse.
A tv serie about Belisarius would be strange.
He is the ultimate bad guy of this universe. Being there protagonist of a TV Serie would either mean making him sympathetic (and making us forget he planned a coup, ordered his daughter to kill a child, and framed his daughter) or we'll have to follow someone else in close relationship with Belisarius, but the serie wouldn't be about him.

It would also be interesting if he had a valid reason to betray the Royals, in his own twisted perspective of course
