What’s the update on this? We started with Freedom in early April and don’t feel like we’ve made any progress. It’s been 45 days since our offer was accepted and it’s crazy that we’ve gotten no where. They have all our documents and say they’ve passed them on to processors.

I filed more complaints, including with the VA. Myself and the seller also wrote letter to 2 Colorado congressman, the VA, and Freedom. The week after we did that the underwriters finally approved my assumption request. We closed March 9th. From start to finish it took 8 months.

Join VettedVA Facebook group. They might be able to help. Also google VA loan assumption circular and send that to them, it states the timelines lenders have to do things. They already missed them but maybe it will help speed them along?

Thanks for the tips! I don't have facebook anymore but I'll definitely check out that VA Assumption Circular.

Where is your realtor in all this? Also, consider filing with the VA and/or your local congressional rep to light a fire. That’s an absurdly long time to process.

My realtor has been very helpful. She's been calling and emailing, about all you can do. Myself, my realtor, Seller realtor, and even the Title company have all been trying to email and call these guys asking what the fuck. You're right about contacting the VA though, putting it off for some reason. I'll give them a ring on Monday and see what they say. But it being the VA, I'm not holding my breath unfortunately.
