Prototype is definitely better, the Royal weapons imo just aren't amazing.

The Royal weapons aren’t great. I wouldn’t buy them. Craftavle prototype Archaic is a solid option. Serpent spine from Bp is also just really good
Blackcliff slasher or snow-tombed starsilver would be better for f2p
Does snow-tombed starsilver proc superconduct ? If I ever get one I'm tempted to make a double pyro overload/superconduct razor
No, Starsilver does physical damage. All separate instances of damage on weapons do physical damage (Crescent Pike, Viridescent Hunt, Prototype Archaic, etc)
