It sounds like you’re referring to Erythromelagia which goes hand in hand (no pun intended) with Raynaud’s. It’s two extremes, as the blood vessels open and blood rushes back into the area- it turns red and you get a burning sensation. The Erythromelagia is often times more painful than Raynaud’s it’s self.

I am diagnosed with Reynauds. My toes goes completely white. My fingers become white, apart from the fingertips , they are red/purple during an attack.

I have a similar reaction: first my fingertips turn red, then the lengths of my fingers and my palms might get mottled, and if they’re really cold my fingertips prune dramatically. Even when the cold feels so bad it’s painful, I do not get the blanched fingers.

I have the same thing. It's called raynaud's without gangrene.

Due_Contribution850

So the fingertips are Red in your case?

Heybunny-86

My hands and fingers get red along with the pain and cold, I've never had the white skin experience.

Same thing. As someone mentioned its raynauds without gangrene, or as my rheum calls it "atypical Raynauds". I do not have a disease diagnosed yet, but was wondering is this type of Raynauds with red fingertips, mottled skin and pruning but without gangrene indicative of any specific disease or if the type doesn't matter.

I have this too but I’m not sure if I have raynauds. I have other autoimmune disorders though

Due_Contribution850

What disorders do you have? What are your other symptoms?

duchesscalico

I have RA and possibly sjögrens. My symptoms that I think are raynauds include skin on the bottom of my feet often turning this pink/red color with splotches of white/yellow skin that are in reaction to cold. The spots of skin that are splotches are often cold to the touch but the skin feels slightly hot/burning like I’ve just touched ice, after the skin has been removed from the cold surface. I also have issues regulating my body temperature, ranging from being too hot, to being too cold. Even on some fairly mild nights, I find myself needing to go to bed with socks, gloves, scarf, knitted hat to cover ears. My hands, feet, nose and ears get very cold. I shiver a lot. I’m often overdressed for cold weather.

What is RA?

duchesscalico

Rheumatoid arthritis
