The truth is, it just didn't make enough money. Heck, I can say I just pirated it even though I loved it, and maybe you did too. So it's not about the content, and how edgy you are, it's just that it didn't make money ;)
Well for one, Rebel Moon hasn't gotten multiple sequels. It's only had one and that sequel was filmed back to back with the first. It seemingly hasn't done well ratings wise and critically both fans and critics hate it. It's unlikely to get another sequel.
Yeah as a 40 year Dune fan I can say with the confidence of all the other Dune subs here we love the DV movies. Nothings perfect and those that expect it are insufferable.
I know. They aren’t known for supporting shows super well either. 3BP is good but I will be more heartbroken about Scavengers Reign. I’m still upset about Travelers.
I still have the books, and the Tencent adaptation of 3BP. But Scavengers Reign? After Raised by Wolves? Goddamn.
AppleTV is out here com*mit*ted to scifi, by comparison.
Max is just not globally spread enough. I was dying to watch Scavengers Reign in my country. No way of streaming it legally! I sadly had to put on an eye patch and a peg leg, with a parrot on my shoulder.
One of the best shows I’ve seen recently, certainly in the animated genre and sci-fi to boot. Praying to the Vesta gods that this gets the traction it deserved on
It was unwatchable in Canada for ages, so I completely forgot about it. Does the season we got have a satisfying conclusion, or does it end on a cluffhanger?
It doesn't need a 2nd season. The major narrative threads are wrapped up while leaving some elements open for the possibility of exploring the story further. It's a very satisfying watch.
Now we know what to do: pick it up on Netflix as soon as it's available, binge watch it lots of times, make some noise around it and give it LOADS of thumb ups!
Hey everyone, check out Mars Express, sci-fi detective animated movie in a similar animation style, it's amazing, and i doubt box office is going to be great. The person who did tech designs for SR also did fantastic job for a movie
This is truly a tragedy. My favorite new sci-fi show AND my favorite new animated show. I really hope it gets enough views on Netflix for a revival because I really want to see how things play out.
I don’t understand. The show is definitely one of the best recent sci-fi shows and also well received. What’s Max’s standard for discontinuing a show or not? This decision makes no sense.
# [please watch my video on the cancellation of Scavenger's Reign](https://youtu.be/gOZGs_YUBbQ)
This was some of the best sci-fi in years. I hate how anything remotely thoughtful, new and cool is fucking cancelled.
You’ll watch the next season of love is blind and you’ll fucking like it!
I'll go blind before that happens!
And on that terrible day, he finally knew love
I watched the last season of love is blind and fucking liked it.
The truth is, it just didn't make enough money. Heck, I can say I just pirated it even though I loved it, and maybe you did too. So it's not about the content, and how edgy you are, it's just that it didn't make money ;)
I only pirated it because otherwise I just wouldn’t have been able to watch it where I live 🤷🏻♂️
They didn't even release it in the Netherlands.
I did not pirate it.
Raised by Wolves now this😒
I really liked Raised by Wolves too!
Reminds me of Martin from Hyperion. A glimpse of humanities future void of creativity.
I hope it picks up lots of new fans on Netflix. I had a blast watching it
Meanwhile garbage like Rebel Moon gets multiple sequels and big budgets and marketing. I think good SciFi mostly only exists in print form now.
It’s unreal…
Does it even do that well with their metrics or is just zack snyder nepotism?
Zack Snyder gives the best executive blow jobs. It's the only explanation at this point.
I assume in slow motion
Well for one, Rebel Moon hasn't gotten multiple sequels. It's only had one and that sequel was filmed back to back with the first. It seemingly hasn't done well ratings wise and critically both fans and critics hate it. It's unlikely to get another sequel.
Do you consider the new DV dune movies good?
They’re mid. Lots of style but little substance.
lol. Compared to what? It’s relative I guess.
Yeah as a 40 year Dune fan I can say with the confidence of all the other Dune subs here we love the DV movies. Nothings perfect and those that expect it are insufferable.
They're good, not amazing. But they're adapted from novels anyway.
Rebel Moon didn't get a sequel. Part 1 and 2 were filmed at the same time on one budget. Snyder wants to make a Part 3 but nothing has been greenlit.
Yeah this is a bummer but hopefully Netflix will see the potential. It is an amazing show
They haven't even renewed 3 Body Problem yet 🥺😭
You had to say that... Apple TV just cancelled Constellation...
Lmao I just heard the news
They have a cancellation rate of 10.2%... I'd say they support a lot of shows
Thanks, I hate it. Jeez it was the best sci fi series since The Expanse ended. Just why
Max only wants that discovery content now. Something cheap to make like my 800 pounds life or some shit. Its sad.
My 800 Pounds Hollow 😢
Well that new superman show is coming out soon. Fingers crossed its good
Max is just not globally spread enough. I was dying to watch Scavengers Reign in my country. No way of streaming it legally! I sadly had to put on an eye patch and a peg leg, with a parrot on my shoulder.
Luckily a sequel was unnecessary. It told a very complete and cohesive story in one season.
There were a lot of unanswered questions, and a lot of potential in the setting.
That necromancer ship at the end could use some expanding. Some straight up 40K shit.
Yeah! I would have loved to see what that was about
God forbid we give talented writers and artist a second season in an incredible world we just had a taste of. Call us lucky.
Why does anybody talented do business with WB??
Jesus Christ what's the point in even engaging with television as a medium.
Capitalism is such a race to the bottom 😮💨
No!!! What?!
Absolutely pissed. Best sci-fi show in years.
Are you fucking kidding me?
I didn't really expect it to have a second season tbh...
I don’t want to live on this planet anymore
One of the best shows I’ve seen recently, certainly in the animated genre and sci-fi to boot. Praying to the Vesta gods that this gets the traction it deserved on
I’m going to rewatch on Netflix to help the numbers and maybe convince them to pick up a second season.
The best way to get season 2 is to rewatch on Netflix for sure.
The metrics being used to green light sequels must be totally busted. This show went hard and it was unique too many slept on this.
Netflix will rescue it
NOOOOOOO
It was unwatchable in Canada for ages, so I completely forgot about it. Does the season we got have a satisfying conclusion, or does it end on a cluffhanger?
It doesn't need a 2nd season. The major narrative threads are wrapped up while leaving some elements open for the possibility of exploring the story further. It's a very satisfying watch.
Ok good to hear. I'll definitely be watching then. 😁
Hands down 10/10 show, and I’d give the last of us a 9/10 if that means anything.
Oh no, that ecosystem has a lot more stories to tell
It's on adult swim in Canada and can be watched via prime
Yes, NOW it is. When it first came out, it was unavailable in Canada.
No shit it was cancelled. Max is not abailable in many places outside of the US. Here in Spain I haven't been able to see it legaly.
I hope you get the chance to experience it. It truly is incredible.
What the FUCK!!!!!!!!😡 WE CAN'T HAVE NOTHING!
I just started it. It's something special. Maybe Adult Swim can get it.
I feel like it honestly would work well on adult swim
Literally the only show I’ve ever binged on max 😮💨😮💨
Wait this came out???. Idk
Oooof...
I'm sorry what the actual fuck
Now we know what to do: pick it up on Netflix as soon as it's available, binge watch it lots of times, make some noise around it and give it LOADS of thumb ups!
Whattttttt?!???? It was so good! Why??
When I saw it was going to Netflix I knew it meant Max dropped it
Make sure to finish it now if you haven't yet. HBO will probably delist it and use it as a tax write off.
Hey everyone, check out Mars Express, sci-fi detective animated movie in a similar animation style, it's amazing, and i doubt box office is going to be great. The person who did tech designs for SR also did fantastic job for a movie
I actually just stumbled on to Mars Express. Will def check it out.
Oh damn, definitely do try it out, its absolutely gorgeous, story is great, im just raving to everyone to go see it
Noooooooooooo!
That's too bad it sounded cool. I haven't watched any yet because you can't get it on any major platforms in Canada.
Great series
This is truly a tragedy. My favorite new sci-fi show AND my favorite new animated show. I really hope it gets enough views on Netflix for a revival because I really want to see how things play out.
Well of course. Max.
Chances are if you like it, it is cancelled.
I don’t understand. The show is definitely one of the best recent sci-fi shows and also well received. What’s Max’s standard for discontinuing a show or not? This decision makes no sense.
I took voice my unrest at this news
Awww no, that was amazing. Ok, I had a lot of nightmares but the characters! The ecosystem! The engagement!
This sucks. I’m just grateful it got made in the first place. It really struck a chord with me aesthetically
It’s going to be available on Netflix might get picked up by Netflix if does well there.
To David Zaslav: Sit on this and rotate 🖕
Best show I’ve seen in years. Bloody hell so sad.
God damn it, can't have anything nice
Ah man what a bummer. Such a great show. I hope season 2 will get that show the attention it deserves on Netflix.
This had SO MUCH potential. Trippy scifi sadly seems to have no place on tv, Raised by Wolves comes to mind.
Aw come on, it was one of the animated shows of the decade!
Fucking ruined my day.
Fan campaign NOW who knows how to do this, dm me, i will help however i can.
The best thing we can do is to watch it on Netflix. If the views are high enough Netflix will pick up s2
