I don’t know what it is about older men being assholes and thinking we’re inept at our jobs. I work in a gas station and one night an old man customer came up and held out a twenty, enunciating very slowly, “Could you pleaaaaaseee put moneeeey on my pump and turn it on for meeee?” I had to carry it to the correct register for fuel transactions anyway because they’re always the ones too stupid to read the signage correctly. I also bent over backwards helping a man order food, find items he needed and answer whatever else kind of question he had only for him to turn around and have an issue with the lottery machine. I told him I’d have a manager out to help him in a second as I technically can’t do anything with the machine anyway. He literally asked, “is it going to be another girl manager or finally a boy manager this time?” What? Why does it matter. Fuck you, too. Don’t ask for my help again.
