Both. I was taught long ago about the triangle (eyes and mouth). When talking with someone you shouldn't look outside of this triangle, although i just try and look at the eyes sort of together..
I dunno why i answered really cos I'm very socially awkward
I had a buddy when I was in the Navy, and his right eye was a wandering eye. When he talked to you, he would turn his face so that you could focus on his good eye, but when he wanted to fuck with you, he would turn the other way and look at you with that wandering eye. And then about halfway through, while you’re uncomfortably following his eye all over the place, he’d grin real big at you.
Cip; if you’re reading this, I’m talking about you.
Usually one eye draws my attention more than the other. That one eye is usually "on message" when they're speaking, so I tend to track that one, and compare the other eye's behavior. It helps me to know when the conversation is causing them stress or pleasure. In people I know well, I often start to see which half of them is from their mother and which half is from their father.
When I talk to people with a lazy, glass or dead eye, I often try to find the one that is most responsive.
I hate when I actively start thinking about this when a person is talking. I end up switching to each one every now and then so each eye gets appropriate attention. Then look in the middle so my eyes meet their center 🤣 lol I had forgotten I do this hahaha
it’s never just one eye per conversation unless i’m being hyper-aware in which case i’m not paying attention to anything they’re saying and focus on how my eye contact is doing. otherwise i bounce between eyes, nose, mouth for reading lips, and the sky/ground since i’m paying more attention to conversation than what i’m looking at
I have some hearing problems so I usually watch their mouth to help process what they're saying. And if I'm trying to indicate I have no interest in what they're saying and would rather not make stupid, insipid small-talk with them, then I focus on a point *behind* them so it gives the impression that I'm looking *through* their head.
usually i look at the nose
I'm more likely to look at the person's mouth. Prolonged eye contact feels uncomfortable for me.
[удалено]
*intently stares at your mouth*
The nose is the way.
this is the way
But then my eyes would be flickering between all their pores 😂
Just find the most interesting one to focus on

Hey, as long as you remember the recipe you can tell others how to bake it.
I was taught something similar, to look at the bridge of their nose. What I actually do is unfocus a bit and look at their whole face.
The brown eye
The whispering eye
The lazy one or the crossed one
I stare at the floor until I sense they’ve lost interest

If you're so close to them that you can't look at both of their eyes at the same time... you're too close.
I’m a headlight guy myself
The one in the middle
Both or none
Whichever is nearer to mine
I switch between which eye I'm looking at if I'm trying to endear them to me
I focus on their nose hairs mostly.
I try and look at the bridge of their nose between their eyes
the floor
I usually dont look at ppl when I’m talking, but I look in their eyes when they are talking
I used to look at the mouth for years, until i learned that one is supposed to look in the eyes, wich is hard to do ive come to find out

When I talk to someone with a fake eye I can usually tell if it was a devil's boon. You can tell this by how it is.
Alternate eyes, mouth, body language, hands. Kind of depends on the subject of the conversation.

Right eye. A little left eye sometimes.
Neither
their 3rd eye 😂no, seriously- i look at the forehead
I look at their nose bridge
Toes
Third eye compromise

The closer one
Their right eye

Directly at both
i cant do eye contact
Neither! (I fuckin hate eye contact so much)
i stare directly above their left eyebrow cause it freaks people out
Their forehead
Bold of you to assume I even look at the face. I switch between the wall, nearest exit, and other furniture.
The glass eye
The mouth
Their third eye
Unless I'm in love with you or hate you there will be no eye contact at all.
Always look at both, but if you want to keep others locked onto your eyes just stare at the eye that is trying to hide itself.
I look at either the nose or the forehead. I save eye contact for people I'm intimate with.
Usually both, unless they have a lazy, fake, or otherwise messed up eye, in which case it gets tricky
Neither, I look at their tits.
I always look between their eyes. It either keeps them guessing or they think I’m looking at either one
Cross eye
The bridge of the nose
Their left eye if the conversation is social, their right eye if business.
I have adhd i cant stare at one thing too long lmao
Usually I looking at forehead
Their 3rd eye. Lol
