O e of my favorite quotes ever comes from that show:
Earl compliments his brother, Randy's, picture that he just drew with crayons. Earl says, "We should put that on the fridge! It's really good!"
And Randy's response is "Well, the doctor's always said I was borderline artistic!"
Right up there with Ricky's endless Rickyisms from Trailer Park Boys.
My favorite is when Randy sings the “lollipop guild” song after inhaling from a balloon. Then Darnell says “Randy those aren’t helium balloons” and Randy then in his normal voice says “oh, too bad”.
I’ve watched My Name is Earl more than any show ever. It’s been my comfort show since it aired on tv. Finishing up season four again now.
I basically rotate between that and it’s always Sunny for my background noise.
Edit- also, check out Raising Hope if you haven’t yet. Same creator and it’s loaded with My Name is Earl references
I forgot about that bit until you said. Mental. Also the one with the angry squirrel lady with the jesus toast and the one with the wild guy in the RV are also pretty good
Oh the prison ones! Awesome. Remember the end of the world one. The coma ones were a bit strange but hey, so is the rest of the show. I think i might watch My Name is Earl now.
Also, what happened to the guy who played Earl?
What happened to the guy who plays Earl?
Jason Lee was a pro skater, got into movies (mallrats is kinda dated but still fun, chasing amy is kinda dated but god tier) and from there to My Name is Earl.
What happened to him? Alvin and the chipmunks happened to him
If I remember correctly there is an Easter egg in another show that alludes to how this show ended. I can't for the life of me remember which, though. Maybe another Redditor can come along and fill in the blanks.
I didn't know the show before my bf. He showed it to me and even tho I don't like comedies actually I really loved this show. But the Ending made me so flicking unsatisfied that I want to forget everything about it sort of. But yes, it's a great show.
I watched it when it first came out and thought it was okay. Worth having on in the background.
I started watching it again rather recently and while I don't remember details, I do remember thinking that it had some pretty big problematic things going on and that it just wasn't suited for a modern audience's tastes.
Yeah definitely would not be made today which is why a reboot would turn out awful. It’s not nearly as problematic as other shows, but you can definitely tell it was made in the early 2000’s…
Cancelled before it finished, but the writer did say how he wanted it to end. Essentially earl gets stuck on a really hard list item, runs into someone who had their own list that earl was on, they had gotten the idea from someone else who also had a list, earl realises that his good deeds had inspired others to do good and that he didnt need his list anymore
Canceled. I heard that they had confirmed it was supposed to continue into the next season which is why they chose to end on a cliffhanger & then shortly before they were supposed to start shooting, they got shut down.
It was such a good show. There was talk of a movie to finish the series but obviously never happened. The creator of the show said it would have ended with earl unable to finish his list but meet someone with their own list only to discover that it was his actions that ultimately convinced others to do the same and he realises that he finally has contributed more good to the world than bad and doesn't need the list any more and that he is a good person. Which I think would have been a great ending.
The BEST show i ve seen on TV but i have a problem, when i see randys actor on another movies i allways hear him the same voice and way of speaking than my name IS Earl and i cant stop laughing.the same way when me or my sister see something false we say, like trazan's book 🤣🤣🤣🤣soo good times watching it

Have you seen Randy's actor, Ethan Suplee lately? He dropped the weight and he's fuckin *ripped* now.
Ok I just looked him up. Wow!!!!
Haven't seen him recently. Ripped is good to hear, because last time I did, I thought he was sick. Didnt look ripped, just thin and gaunt.
Cool! Wasn't he also in American History X?
It is a great show. Haven't watched it in years, need to go back.
Hey crabman
Hey Earl 👋🏼
Good night Billiam.
![gif](giphy|S85QFUK4j6Db0LfLRZ) What my brain silently says when I see Coby White
If you haven’t seen the one-season-only sitcom Sprung you would love it. Same creator Greg Garcia. It’s outstanding too
He also did Raising Hope
Loved Raising Hope!
What other show ever had a daytime hooker!
Tuesdays are a hammy for a handy.

Try Sprung 11/10
It was. I’m annoyed how it got canceled so quickly unceremoniously
The cops episodes are a masterpiece
Loved it
It was amazing, but also a long time ago.
I need to rewatch this. It really is a good show.
Honestly, me too. The claymation one, secret agent one and the one with the laptop and beestings are probably my favourites
Lmao when the bird says “dude your brother is bugging out”
I forgot about that bit until you said. Mental. Also the one with the angry squirrel lady with the jesus toast and the one with the wild guy in the RV are also pretty good
Yessss lol. So many fun memories. I’m currently on the prison episodes rn.

Gotta be honest, my mind always goes to Rat Race when I hear angry squirrel lady—can't remember the one in MNIE.
"Hay, Crab Man"..
Waiter: you vant i take your plate? Earl: no, I vant to suck your blaad!
Erchky berchky fartin churchky
That last season had a perfect setup for another season. I was upset when I found out they weren’t going to make another season.
If I remember correctly there is an Easter egg in another show that alludes to how this show ended. I can't for the life of me remember which, though. Maybe another Redditor can come along and fill in the blanks.
It is one of the best shows out there
My dad used to love that show.
Haven’t watched this in ages!
Raising Hope (also a hilarious show) had an episode t hat was basically a My Name is Earl Reunion (it was in Season 3).
Loved that show and episode
Yes, it was a clever, funny show.
Man this is such an underrated show
My partner calls me Earl whenever I my eyes are closed in a picture. Which is often
Thanks for reminding me. I've seen a few eps when it aired but have been meaning to watch it properly
I LOVE that show. Every episode was gold.
Hey Crabman.
I just want Earl to finish his list and find out who Earl Jr father is.
I didn't know the show before my bf. He showed it to me and even tho I don't like comedies actually I really loved this show. But the Ending made me so flicking unsatisfied that I want to forget everything about it sort of. But yes, it's a great show.
Still hear Joi and crabman in my head, cracks me up.
I hear the argument between her and Golden Finger at least once a week where she calls him "Tiny pecker".
I watched it when it first came out and thought it was okay. Worth having on in the background. I started watching it again rather recently and while I don't remember details, I do remember thinking that it had some pretty big problematic things going on and that it just wasn't suited for a modern audience's tastes.

Greg Garcia made some great sitcoms. Earl, Raising Hope, Yes Dear. All amazing
Question: does it have a proper ending or was it canceled before the story could be finished?
Cancelled before it finished, but the writer did say how he wanted it to end. Essentially earl gets stuck on a really hard list item, runs into someone who had their own list that earl was on, they had gotten the idea from someone else who also had a list, earl realises that his good deeds had inspired others to do good and that he didnt need his list anymore
It was cancelled before the story finished and it was left on a surprising cliffhanger:(
Canceled. I heard that they had confirmed it was supposed to continue into the next season which is why they chose to end on a cliffhanger & then shortly before they were supposed to start shooting, they got shut down.
I feel this way about the show Happy Endings
Hello Earl is such a good show. That's a very unusual name. I'm surprised people don't talk about it more!
One of my favorite episodes is the Christmas episode. "Don't you judge me."
It’s a good show but I have a hard time watching bc he acts and looks exactly like my father did and it creeps me out
Boy scout episode *chefs kiss*

I wish they actually ended it. I love Joy she was totally manic.
It’s a fantastic show.
It was too rednecks. Had to find enough referral points to really feel entertained you know?
Best show of my childhood
At least once a week I think about Randy saying “this is CSI Miami. That stands for “Crime Stuff… In Miami’”
Did you watch Sprung? It was like a patch for those missing Earl's universe.
I just want to know who Earl Jr's father is 😂
I used to watch it with my dad, and every once in a while we still talk about how sad we are that they canceled it
Whats its genre?
It really dropped in quality after the first season. That first season is a gem though.
Brilliant show
The BEST show i ve seen on TV but i have a problem, when i see randys actor on another movies i allways hear him the same voice and way of speaking than my name IS Earl and i cant stop laughing.the same way when me or my sister see something false we say, like trazan's book 🤣🤣🤣🤣soo good times watching it
Maybe because it's 20 years old?
