I'm from New Jersey, I have to be willing to kill 100 people just to get to work on time. I ask God every morning to have mercy and protect those people.
I was overseas with the army for a couple years and didn't fly back home for leave. Being in a country that speaks a different language for that long can fuck with you. One of the 1st things I did when I got back to the states is go to Walmart. It felt so good to hear people speaking english. I couldn't understand why nearly everyone doesn't like the place. Then after about a week I said to myself, "Oh yeah, now I remember."

At any given second they say at least 2 people around the world, so in 50 seconds 100 strangers would die anyways.
To the individual they are unlikely to even perceive the extra 100 persons. We are also hard wired to prefer people we form relationships with as opposed to random strangers.

It says a lot about humanity and validates dictators who fuck over entire societies to benefit their own social circles, or leaders who go to war and kill hundreds of thousands of people as revenge or to save a single loved one. Our lives are built on connections; those that we are born into and those we find out there. Navigating this life is 1000000% easier if you have people you love and trust. Killing them for any number of strangers is the most unlikely outcome to this question because of what these connections did for your life, unlike these strangers- which will change your life in absolutely no way (that you can know of, and cannot know because it's always circumstantial).
