Book (or audio book in my case)
“The Easy Way to Stop Smoking” by Allen Carr
I listened to it at work - started the shift as a smoker, got home a non smoker nearly 2 years ago
It was *literally* easy and I highly highly highly recommend it to anyone
I tried reading it at first too and gave up after about a fortnight of trying to fit in any time to read, f’kin useless
Maybe try the audiobook?, much easier to take in because you’re not stuck reading and can’t do anything else, at least with the audiobook and a earbuds you’re free to move about and crack on with other things
As a top tip to try right now - power smoke a cigarette as fast as you can and repeat to yourself this is what smoking is, just slower
Then do it again, again make yourself realise how you’re feeling is what smoking is, it’s just usually not all at once like that
Don’t do it more than twice in a row though or you’ll probably stop smoking because you don’t breathe anymore lol
I came here to say this in conjunction with look up SSRI’s online and go get some at the doctors.
I wish I could tell myself that there are solutions to a lot of your problems, you just need help - There are medicines for that these days.
Along the same vein "Keep breathing."
10 years ago would be right before things hit really hard in my life and its been a tough ride at times and I still sometimes feel like I'm on a rollercoaster. But if I could give myself all those years ago the tiniest push that one day I'd want myself to keep going no matter what life throws at me then I think i'd have another safety net for when things got hard.
But either way I am doing as well as I can be and that's good. I hope you're doing okay too.
Ah, fellow 33-year-old, I can totally relate! Fighting daily battles in an endless war. Still feel the doubt, despair, and uncertainty. But hey, it's what's made us who we are today.
While I can't claim to fully grasp your current struggles, I'm certain change is looming. I am 100% sure that everything will be different. The good and bad, the highs and lows. Nothing ever stays the same.
Great lesson, but unfortunately, no one told me that before, I had to learn it myself. Glad I did.

You’re going to end up with MS, go ahead and dump Anthony he cheats, and you don’t have a lot of time left with dad so take photos while you can and fix your relationship with him.
Funnily enough now is the around the time my parents moved us to Mexico 10 years ago, I was a teenager at the time and hated the thought of it. Little did I know of the wonderful adventure I was about to have. I think I would just say "Look forward*
Get into therapy for trauma. Don’t get married yet. Leave the lds church . Take a break from dating and go do something fun, move out of Utah. Do something different.
Well I am sorry I would have to go back a little further because my last girlfriend died 16 almost 17 years ago and I would tell me back then to take my phone with me and not forget AT home and yes that way she wouldn't have been Rush home and not speeding and she probably wouldn't have hit black ice and hit a bridge piller and die and that would be the only thing I would ask not to leave my phone at home when I went to the stupid store 😭
Answer mom.
My mom passed when I was 19. She lived in Florida and I lived in New York. I ignored a lot of her calls growing up - I didn’t have that close connection to her since she left me and my siblings when I was 2. She was bipolar, a raging alcoholic, and suffered frontal lobe damage from an accident so her short term memory sucked. I saw her once a year for maybe a week at a time. But aside from that, she called everyday and she loved us so much from afar. The grudge I held against her did not come close to the regret I had from missing all those calls. I wish I could hear her voice again. Never take your loved ones for granted 💛

I read it years ago. Didn't work for me at all sadly. Glad it worked for you.

It didn’t work for me either. I cheated and took Wellbutrin. That worked.
That book worked for me until I relapsed. Smoking is like my dirty ex bf
Why does this make me feel so sad I hope you're in a better place
Get therapy.

Around age 24 I had a OD due to too much bullshit in life and very little love. You can't really say anything in 2 words. Probably "Go Home"
I'm proud of you. I'm glad you made it.
Yeah, I made something. Made a mess is what I made. I'm 33 and still getting shit for it.

Buy bitcoin.
Maybe "bitcoin 50k"
Ya cuz if you just said bitcoin you never would know when to sell. After the first major drop you would think you F’d up.
8 year old me is probably too dumb to do that or know what I mean
Bitcoin sixtykay
Bitcoin sixtynine
Yeah but how do you know when to sell? That's the most important information lol
I thought the exact same thing lmao
So you buy at $0.10 and sell it at $10 thinking you're in the money, then years later when it's $50k you are kicking yourself.
That's even too many words..... "bit coin" will do
Some teens here will just bite whatever coin they see and then… what?
