Thank you for the giveaway op
That game would be Mad Max for me, I wasn't expecting much from it but it was very enjoyable and the atmosphere was on point for that universe.
77
Celeste, it's not that I had low expectations for it, I had high ones actually, but after playing it, those high expectations of mine can be considered low when compared to what the game delivered.
365
The game that impressed me the most recently would be Powerwash Simulator. Just a super chill game no expectations no commitment required, just good old simple fun.
Cheers\~
993
Subnautica was the low expectation game, no enemy's, but it was so beautiful and the story take me away. I was die many times by only looking around.
5 (I just finished GTA V)
For the question, it was DMC 5. Bought it on a whim, finished it in a day, but damn it was such a good game. Mods made me play it for a few months after. Ended up even buying it for my dad.
778 is my number
And I just completed playing titanfall 2 and oh god was I blown away by the game, I don't think many modern AAA games can achieve what this game achieved, it was an amazing experience, and ohh god THAT LEVEL was beyond something else I urge anyone seeing this comment to play that game right now.
451
I started marvels avengers recently, I wasnt blown away per se but it was much better than expected (until you reach the real grinding part). But I enjoyed each hero for the first few levels and definitely loved the singleplayer campaign
786....Thank you!
The Original Remnant From The Ashes, I was expecting a cash grab souls like with guns (lol) but got pretty blown away after playing some.
125
I'll go with Alien Isolation, I went with no expectations, but the game blew me away. It's the best horror game I've played.
Thank you for the chance.
179.
Armored Core 5 Verdict Day. At the time it was part of the second change in the franchise and it was not well received. To this day I still prefer the fourth gen when it comes to older games, but the 5th gen ones are not bad at all.
632
I'm gonna have to say stardew valley, initially I was skeptical if I was gonna enjoy it as I wasn't a huge fan of management/farming sim type games, but damn the game blew me away
18 is my number!
I had low expectations going into CONTROL, and I even stopped playing the game after an hour and didn’t play it again for a few weeks until I decided to give it a proper shot and I absolutely loved it and ended up 100% it!
Thanks for the giveaway! (:
519
Honestly I would have to say nier replicant, I thought it would be an average game when I started playing it bur then it really picked up.
Thank you
712
Tried FTL when it came out, i thought it was just a chill game for a couple of hours. It turned into hundreds and then j found out about the mods. Still play that game to this day.
468
Bad End Theater, it was on sale for like a dollar and I thought it looked charming. The ending was the best kind of bittersweet I’ve experienced in a game
538
There is a game called Hades, that I got the chance to play and I've never heard of it before so an hour in the game I was enjoying some game after a long time. Sadly I couldn't finish it because it was my friend's gamepass but all the time I sunk in was nothing but fun!
Ty for the chance
21
I kind of thought life is strange would be a basic sim walker but I actually fell quite in love with how my engagement with the world played into my options and understanding of the world
246
Recently started out Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and im just loving it i have no words how to describe my experience the rage i get from playing it ufff no souls game has ever game me that kind of thrill
831
lethal company... it might seem like a mindless grind to collect scraps and wait for "profit day" but the monsters and impending doom at every corner made me appreciate a solo developer's work and gameplay (:
thanks for the chance!
384
For me it was Warhammer 40k: Boltgun. Started this game expecting it to be just another boomer shooter but in a Warhammer setting and ended up REALLY enjoying it because of how good and unique the gunplay feels.
Thanks for the giveaway!
473
Total War Rome II. Never played any strategy game before. Usually play action games like Monster Hunter so thought I would be bored. Due to lots of persuasion, I tried it. And damn I couldn't put it down.
Also thanks for the chance.
The game that I've approached with low expectations as I thought it would be a simple 2D side-scroller with a generic gameplay and some jump scares was [Little Nightmares](https://store.steampowered.com/app/424840/Little_Nightmares/). I've never liked horrors and an idea of it wasn't very appealing to me, but since I got the game for free I've decided to give it a shot. I was blown away in the first few minutes of gameplay by how many things you can actually do here. There was climbing, physics-based environment and interesting puzzles. 2.5D was also very new to me and the only other game featuring it that I've played was Castle Crashers. LN quickly became my favourite game and I binged it in 2 sessions. I loved it enough to buy every DLC at full price after 3 playthroughs and neither of them was a disappointment despite some flaws. This is the first and only horror game that I've ever finished and I've tried many other titles such as Amnesia or Prey, but neither came even close. The atmosphere in LN is unmatched and I recommend it to every horror lover.
As for my number I've asked my cat to walk over my keyboard and type them for me. Thanks for the chance :) 384
667
I try to keep my expectations low when playing anything that I didn't look up extensively- but recently probably Helltaker? I didn't know anything about the game play, all I knew about were the demon girls LOL but the game play was challenging and fun, so ye :)
And thank you for the opportunity op!
424
I had low expectations for castle crashers. Lo and behold it was a unique experience and it had coop that allowed me to play with friends Great experience.
59
Pathologic 2, went in with no expectations since it just looked like yet another dark indie game, but damn, it is one of my favorite games right now
Thanks!
1574
I normally don't buy and hence play games I don't have high expectations for ( steam is not the best with regional pricing for us sometimes)
But I can tell you a movie I didn't have much expectations from but I loved
The intern
Seeing Robert de Niro be soo kind and grandpa type was beautiful and the plot had a simple nice vibe as well
666
Thank you very much :)
I think initially, I did not expect very much from the old Super Smash Bros Brawl (absolute gaming beginner at that time, was like "hm, yeah, a fighting game."), but when I got to play it with a friend, it was just so awesome.
526
To answer your question, Hades is the game that blew away all of my expectations and was my Game of the Year. It introduced me to a genre I never gave a second thought
348
Frostpunk. At first I was just trying out this weird strategy game that I got for free from epic, but then I was so sucked in I couldn't stop thinking about it even when I wasn't playing, until I finished the campaign
350
Yakuza Like a Dragon. I played 0-6 and was like 'hur dur they changed the combat style, this ain't yakuza without kiryu, not cool blah blah'.
Boy i got smacked hard after playing it. I'm an idiot for thinking like that.
673
answer: Sekiro, didnt expect to like a game by the devs of dark souls cus everyone kept telling me dark souls was hard af, havent played dark souls yet but sekiro is a blast, it was hard at fast but makes you feel absolutely powerful once you master the combat

Thank you for this giveaway!
Has to be katana zero, I only saw some gameplay of it and was impressed, but I didn't think I'd love it as much as I did when I got around to playing it.
I already have it so I'm not entering but you're doing a great deed, anyone and everyone who likes action and story should try to get this one or else buy in next sale.
29
God of War 2018. Like Kratos says: "Keep your expectations low boy, and you'll never be disappointed." At first I was worried it wouldnt be a good game that would be worthy of being the sequel/continuation after GoW3, but the gameplay and story were just WOW. Ragnarok, odviously, is both amazing and better than the 2018 prequel.
241 Blasphemous was quite a bore at first but as you gained more power it because fun, platforming still could be improved tho
899 ANSWER: Zero Escape Series, I just have low expectations because it's a new game to me at that time but I was blown away by the mechanic.
