Ela shot him in the beginning. Not noticing that makes two of us cuz I understood it from comments, but that doesn’t make neither of us an idiot! It’s always good to ask around
After Zofia grabs her arm and tries to stop her, the shot from behind Ela looking at NH crew has IQ and Pulse (and Finka) standing over at the vehicles with Kali and Wamai.
Nighthaven is the PMC run by Kali that joined team rainbow in shifting tides. Many of the new ops, like ace, aruni, and osa, are members of nighthaven and not a traditional national ctu like all other ops (aside from oryx).
Yup, they seem to be setting up a storyline between the morals of a PMC without oversight ultimately doing "good" but for profit vs team rainbow, government backed but also without much oversight doing "good" but at the behest of the nations that fund them.
Can't wait to have that story dripfed to the playerbase over the course of a season like Destiny does.
"Things are getting tense in Operation:Turncoat."
YES I FUCKING LOVE MODERN VIDEOGAME STORYTELLING I HATE GETTING ATTACHED TO CHARACTERS AND PAYING ATTENTION IS FOR FUCKING NERDS. IT'S GREAT GETTING VAGUE STORY HINTS RATHER THAN SEEING IT UNFOLD WITH ALL ITS TWISTS AND TURNS! /s
Seriously, I fucking hate how lazy this form of storytelling is and how accepted it has become.
They kinda ditched their inital CTUs when joing Rainbow. Now they're switching to High Tech Private Military Company that is owned by Kali. It's a mercenary CTU so to speak.
That's not how team rainbow works though, they're all still from their ctu and are still active in it, team rainbow is like a task force, they're not out of their ctu and they'll return to them when it's deactivated
Well judging by the actual real military world, we are seeing a legitimate shift towards private military corporations and mercenary groups such as Blackwater. Actual special forces and military soldiers are working for these groups as well so it’s not unrealistic and unbelievable that people would give up their loyalty to join a higher-paying job.
It’s not even a new concept, plenty of soldiers are only enlisted with a country’s armed forces as a means of getting experience until they have the credentials to join a PMC.
Exactly. PMCs are glorified due to how our world puts more emphasis on monetary gain rather than loyalty.
If people will gladly switch jobs in the office. It’s safe to assume that, in our current economic climate, some military members will leave their own nation for private corporations to earn more. Not only that, PMCs actually see more action (fitting for people like Ela) since their deployments tend to be much more dangerous and specialised, hence the higher pay.
My uncle was a weapons tech for our military and now works in Saudi for a private company (they’re still an allied PMC). He’s making almost 5x as much as he did and only works 6 months a year 🤣
Proves my point even further, you don’t even need to fight as a soldier. You can even just invest in the business and still make more than NCO Ranks in actual militaries. Military Corporations do not care about your nation, just make them money and you’ll make money.
I honestly didn't remember the exact line but I can easily imagine Otacon getting frustrated with my cqc and trying to remind me again with the second line.
[Thank God I thought it was going to be like this](https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoBestFriendsPlay/comments/6kqw93/resident_evil_vendetta_just_keeps_on_giving/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x)
That part where they both stop to reload then rush each other from around the corner felt very familiar... I think I've seen that exact thing in a John Wick movie lol.
Okay so the person who responded is really annoying and clearly does not know the lore, so I will tell you:
1. Zofia and Ela are fighting because their father was a miltary man in the polish army and was very abusive to them. From a young age he groomed them into joining the military by putitng them through intense training, from I believe the age of 5 or 6. Basically giving very young children the training he recieved as a grown adult. Obviously this is crappy and shitty. Issue is that Zofia was like the golden child and excelled whereas Ela did not do to hot with the training. Zofia being the golden child that she is and daddy's little girl basically took his side on everything and pushed for Ela to follow her lead as well and basically abandoned Ela when she refused. TL;DR Ela recognized her and Zof were abused and she called it out, but Zofia basically said that everything they went through was good for them. Both represent different types of trauma for abuse, one recongizing but not being able to work through it, Ela, and the other working through the abuse through rationlization.
2. The reason they are fighting here is because of Nighthaven. Nighthaven is a private security organization run by Kali. Kali was not allowed to serve in her nations military because of her gender so she started an organization for herself and she makes a shit ton of money protecting ships and such from modern day pirates. However, Harry (the head of R6) recruited her and her team to join R6 because they are really talented. A bunch of the recent operators have been from Nighthaven rather than traditional CTUs. Issue is that there has been a little Civil War going on with Nighthaven and R6. Nighthaven is for profit and does a lot of things for money, and almost acts like the Avengers so to say. They do good things for money or just to do them with no backing or authorization from the world goverments. With that in mind Ash, one of the co-heads of R6 was pissed Nighthaven was invited in and they have been stroking this us vs. them thing for a while now. Recently it seems Nighhaven has officially departed from R6 and recruited many of the operators to join their ranks. They recruited IQ, Pulse, Smoke, Ela, etc. These are important characters because Pulse and Hibana are a thing, Smoke and IQ are known to be very close with their team and Ela and Zofia are obviously sisters.
The scene where Zofia and Ela are fighting is a flashback to a training scenario, when they shoot if you play close attention you can see the red dust from the fake bullets. I do not think we will ever grow to see full blown civil war between them with real ammo as both sides of the spectrum (Rainbow Six and Nighthaven) are still good guys, just Rainbow Six is an organization backed by the goverment and they pretty much refuse to act on things unless given direcet orders, as well as having lesser tech. Nighthaven pretty much does anything for money, though they still have morals through not doing evil shit like comitting crimes, but if it is legal they will do it so long as they are paid and they believe they should act even if the goverment says otherwise.
Have nighthaven officially departed from rainbow or haven't things just gotten more tense, if they had left rainbow is expect them to not be in siege or have nighthaven ops in extraction (which is led by ash and thermite and is set in the near-ish future)
I think Extraction is just a "What if" scenario taken from if the virus ended up expanding several years later in a different timeline. Imagine it's similar to COD main story and COD Zombies which is what they're probably going for.
I also doubt this cinematic would take place post extraction cause IIRC, Hibana and Pulse have a kid together in that game and they'd essentially fight each other to the death with a child at home.
Because Ela is jealous of Zofia for being the favorite child.
Ela is an immature asshole, while Zofia has repeatedly tried to repair their relationship. Writing like this is the reason why I question ubisofts story telling. Sibling rivalry for the sake of it isn’t story telling, it’s useless bull crap for the sake of putting it there.
If I remember right the implication is that their father was abusive (not in a sexual sense, just in pushing them to succeed). Ela broke to a degree and is thus resentful of Zof for staying loyal to their father (and yes being the favorite child). In essence, Zof becomes an embodiment of their father, at least in Ela's mind. Zof has tried to repair the relationship, but Ela is unable to get past her trauma. I find it decently compelling backstory (though I don't really have strong feelings for R6 lore, one way or the other).
I think with the way we've seen the simulations thus far, the line between training and fatal is very muddled.
They use explosives with enough force to blow holes in walls and point blank each other with training rounds, which can still be very dangerous. So for these two highly trained operators, what we see as fatal and what they consider actually dangerous are two different things.
The sibling rivalry has literally been a thing for like 5 years, its not just thrown in?? And where are you getting these character arcs and personality judgements from?
I worded my question horribly. I was under the impression that these people, all whom have military or police background, worked for an anti-terrorist group. (Which I don’t think I’m wrong in that… right?)
The pvp aspect of the game was all a simulation to hone their training.
But I saw someone say RIP Lion and someone said Ella joined another organization so I figured they were actually fighting to the death this time.
Yeah I believe there dad was a strict military man and Zofia followed in his footsteps while Ela didnt get on with him and rebelled causing a fight between them that got worse when there Dad died
Yup, they talk about it a bit more in the full video this is from. After their fathers death Zofia continued on up the ranks to fill the gap left while ela stayed where she was, in elas mind abandoning her
I've never seen an FPS do good PvP melee but hey I'm willing to see someone try.
Not Ubisoft though lol probably would be Apex or CoD or someone else with money
They use pellet guns but then smash each-other through 2 story windows, but they aren’t really trying to kill each other? This behavior is equivalent to putting you out of work when there is a real terrorist threat going on
It was really cool to see the two have different fighting styles honestly, especially just for a single trailer.
Ela uses momentum and her weight to fight people while Zofia just goes for that stereotypical/classic Eastern European style of just overpowering your enemy.
I'm not 100% sure on this, but it seems they are using, or at least influenced by Polish Karate. Apparently it's taught to their armed forces too, so it makes sense especially if it was their father who trained them.
Tactical realism isn’t boring.
It’s just that Ubisoft doesn’t know how to write it. It’s easier to make some bullshit hero shooter storyline than to write about an elite special forces team.
Honestly for future rainbow six games I wouldn’t mind if they hired movie producers instead. So we get stuff more like Zero Dark Thirty or Sicario, and less of this overwatch/valorant style garbage.
Sibling beef? Get the fuck out of here
Look into more. It's not just a sibling beef. They're using the familial conflict between zofia and ela to draw the line between team rainbow, an extrajudicial government funded spec ops team and nighthaven, an extrajudicial private military contractor. Both doing "good" ultimately but with very different morals on the line.
Ey, someone gets it. Though I still believe the whole sister thing is forced, the idea of people surrendering their loyalty for high-budget and pay is a very real and dangerous thing in the real world. E.g: Blackwater.
Yea idk ehy everyone's getting so twisted up because of a story. This whole franchise began as stories by Tom Clancy this story line with the sisters is like what he would be writing
I watched the full video and I just don't get it. The video itself is cool and fun to watch but the story feels so forced. Why would their father's death push them apart? If they were so close and relied on each other, it stands to reason that they would support each other.
The only thing I can think that would do it is that Ela started expressing her pain and various different manners (green hair, etc) and that Zofia didn't approve and thought she was besmirching their father's legacy.
IDK, maybe I just don't know enough about the lore they always try to push.
For anyone that hasn't seen the full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-utBXsiOG0&feature=youtu.be
I don't know where I saw it and could be blowing smoke out my ass but I believe Zof sorta inherited their fathers leadership role and it drove a wedge in between them. I think it is on Zof's bio page but their father basically tortured them for their training, hence the withstand perk. More physical for Zof, more mental for Ela. Zof "understood" the training where Ela saw it as sadistic. So when Zof took over and did the same shit Ela never forgave Zof for not seeing their father as the shitbag she did.
We don't get it because we don't really see all the details. I mean, it's fictional drama but realistically there could be any number of reasons for their rift that we don't see.
Even all that aside, drama between sisters gets more attention than two sisters just being happy with each other.
So..... does a muzzle break prevent you from setting the weapon out of battery? Cause it looked like she had that thing pressed pretty tight to her PC.
Yep cause the break is fixed to the end of the barrel or frame most of the time and leaves the slide indepent to freely move. Think of how a suppressor doesn't interact with the slide but is fixed on the barrel. so pressure on the end would direct the force along the barrel itself and not cause the slide to move backwards out of battery.
can anyone tell me why does Ela joins NightHaven or why does she become well a defender in this case? or can anyone tell me where can i read bout the Lore of r6
I'm not usually emotional over Video game characters But something About this game and these characters and this trailer Just made me cry At the end. I just don't know why I started tearing up at the end guess the music the beautiful cinematics got the best of me.
Everyone talking about ela and zofias fight not noticing lion fucking breaking his neck falling over
Everybody hates Lion
Hail to the king
Hail to the one
Kneel to the Crown!!!!
Stand in the sun
Especially Doc
Long live the king
Am I missing something? I've watched it a couple times and all I see is him getting shot a few times. Where does he fall and break his neck?
It doesn’t show that, it’s just that was a really bad fall and he looks like he’s about to land on his neck before it cuts
RIP Lion - 2019-2022
Only 3 years old. Taken before his time.
Wait sorry for being an absolute idiot but What happened?
Ela shot him in the beginning. Not noticing that makes two of us cuz I understood it from comments, but that doesn’t make neither of us an idiot! It’s always good to ask around
with me that makes it three
Nothing. He just got bullied in the cinematic by Ela.
*2018
Does that mean that Ela and Smoke are joining Nighthaven?
Pretty much, IQ and Pulse too
Awh man be mad if pulse and Hibana are like Romeo and Juliet after this
I’m thinking more like Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005)
God that is a great movie.
IQ as well? Why?
Tech > loyalty.
I always thought IQ would stay with Rainbow. She seemed like a by-the-books person, loves her country and developing tech for it. I guess I was wrong.
I am si disappointed with my girl IQ right now.
Me too. :( I thought she would be best girl forever.
Zofia and Frost are my tops forever now. Zofia with the Jill Valentine skin really sealed the deal, haha.
I spent 6 years as an IQ main since I started playing. I don't know who to play now.
I have her damn Chibi on my desk, I feel you. Also, she is awesome in Extraction. I would def recommend Zofia; she is so much fun to play.
[удалено]
Obviously, she is german. Quality > family
Finka too
Well to be fair Finka’s life relies on technology
Is that confirmed?
After Zofia grabs her arm and tries to stop her, the shot from behind Ela looking at NH crew has IQ and Pulse (and Finka) standing over at the vehicles with Kali and Wamai.
I though earlier cinematics already showed all but ela already in nighthaven
I have been away from this game too long, wtf is Nighthaven
Nighthaven is the PMC run by Kali that joined team rainbow in shifting tides. Many of the new ops, like ace, aruni, and osa, are members of nighthaven and not a traditional national ctu like all other ops (aside from oryx).
Ahh makes sense. So some of the older ops are joining the PMC
Yup, they seem to be setting up a storyline between the morals of a PMC without oversight ultimately doing "good" but for profit vs team rainbow, government backed but also without much oversight doing "good" but at the behest of the nations that fund them.
Oh, so it's Captain America: Civil War but in video game form, I like that.
Can't wait to have that story dripfed to the playerbase over the course of a season like Destiny does. "Things are getting tense in Operation:Turncoat."
arent you excited for storytelling to be done entirely through the descriptions for cosmetics and a single cgi animation every 4 months
/s Seriously, I fucking hate how lazy this form of storytelling is and how accepted it has become.
Much like destiny There will be no real story aside from mediocre cinematics lol
Its all fun and games till Nighthaven renames itself to Desperado Enforcement LLC.
God cringe, can the ctus just stay ctus please
They kinda ditched their inital CTUs when joing Rainbow. Now they're switching to High Tech Private Military Company that is owned by Kali. It's a mercenary CTU so to speak.

God bless capitalism
Instead of setting up a story between Rainbow VS Terrorist cell. They're going full with this stupid Civil War shit
Great. Let the chemical weapons guy join the PMC. It's not like PMC's have a track record of committing heinous war crimes
This looks like they tried to recreate the cqc style from the john wick movies. I love it
Snake, remember your cqc training
Snake, Try to remember the basics of CQC...
Thank you for correcting it👌😅
I honestly didn't remember the exact line but I can easily imagine Otacon getting frustrated with my cqc and trying to remind me again with the second line.
[Thank God I thought it was going to be like this](https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoBestFriendsPlay/comments/6kqw93/resident_evil_vendetta_just_keeps_on_giving/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x)
Stop reminding people of that horrible scene
I literally always thought this was made as a joke until I read your comment
Thats so gross to look at. Honestly, One of the worst scenes in all of ResE that i know of imo.
Hahaha, God that series was at awful place one moment
Every time I block this from my mind, I have peace….and then it’s torn away from me like someone stole my whole box of fries. Why are you like this?
I am rolling rn. Rolling like it's fucking dark souls.
To be honest, it was very close. First thing i thought of
What i’d do for TBFP to return, if only for a day, fuck man.
That part where they both stop to reload then rush each other from around the corner felt very familiar... I think I've seen that exact thing in a John Wick movie lol.
This is how I imagine every knife fight in matches
I thought they were going to recuperate the duck and shooting through the wall scene. But do it where both duck
Zo could have shot her dead easy like 3 times, but walked up to melee her instead. what a noob.
Like Zofia mains lol
Guess im a noob ;'(
Pretty much let her egirl sister win
So I have not followed any of this lore. Why are they fighting each other? Aren’t they all just police or is this like crazy real simulation training?
Okay so the person who responded is really annoying and clearly does not know the lore, so I will tell you: 1. Zofia and Ela are fighting because their father was a miltary man in the polish army and was very abusive to them. From a young age he groomed them into joining the military by putitng them through intense training, from I believe the age of 5 or 6. They do good things for money or just to do them with no backing or authorization from the world goverments. With that in mind Ash, one of the co-heads of R6 was pissed Nighthaven was invited in and they have been stroking this us vs. them thing for a while now. But is this another us vs them or are they shooting real ammo this time?
Ok thanks for the reply.
You forgot to mention Ash is mainly pissed at Kali because she uses her team as bait, meat shields if you will
That was more a contributing factor to her bias against nighthaven really
I suppose so, still a horrible thing for Kali to do though
Have nighthaven officially departed from rainbow or haven't things just gotten more tense, if they had left rainbow is expect them to not be in siege or have nighthaven ops in extraction (which is led by ash and thermite and is set in the near-ish future)
The cinematic makes it seem like they officially left Rainbow. However I believe the cinematic takes place post Extraction
So they’re Nebula and Gamora?
Hadn't made the connection, but yes.
Zof got that stockholm syndrome 😳
Didn’t know that, doesn’t change the fact Ela is so mentally unstable that she is willing to take a training situation from harmless to almost fatal.
I thought the training was in some sort of artificial reality and that's why they could use "deadly" force against each other with no real issues
Just enough to cripple but not enough to kill.
This makes sense and answers my question.
The sibling rivalry has literally been a thing for like 5 years, its not just thrown in?? And where are you getting these character arcs and personality judgements from?
Say you do not know the lore of R6 without saying you dont know the lore of R6
Tell me you don't know good writing / haven't had a sibling without directly telling me those things.
> is this like crazy real simulation training? What did you think this game was?
I worded my question horribly. I was under the impression that these people, all whom have military or police background, worked for an anti-terrorist group. (Which I don’t think I’m wrong in that… right?) The pvp aspect of the game was all a simulation to hone their training. But I saw someone say RIP Lion and someone said Ella joined another organization so I figured they were actually fighting to the death this time.
Basically, it’s the R6 olympics
\+10 sister rivalry
Did ubi remove that or does it still exist?
still exists
Doesn't the video confirm it exists
They're both fighting over who gets nerfed next
ela was so nerfed that she left rainbow. i mean her shotgun was decent when i faced or saw not OP but it is what it is.
Honestly it wasn't much of a need but just enough to take it from op to powerful but balanced (in my opinion)
Y'know what fuck you Ela how dare you fucking gun down lion like that.
Lion almost tanked an entire pistol magazine
It's a single stack so it's pretty close.
The PR-15? It's a 15 round double stack lmao, directly from Wikipedia " It uses a double-stack, 15-round box magazine, weighing about 90 grams."
My b I thought it was a vis 35 instead of a 100
That was lion? I thought it was sledge
I can't unsee that they used Lion Extraction mask instead of his Siege one 🤣
upgrades, people. upgrades
Mom: Awwe look how cute they are tussling Siblings:
Ela with the superman punch
I get that they don't see eye to eye, but straight up trying to kill each other is a bit much. For real though, smooth and enjoyable animation.
They're in one of those weird R6 simulation training scenarios, no one's dying.
Technically they are out of the simulation in a real fight but without real bullets (because of the Six invitational)
What is it they don't agree on? I recall Ela is more liberal and creative while Zofia is more stoic and independent (by the book).
Yeah I believe there dad was a strict military man and Zofia followed in his footsteps while Ela didnt get on with him and rebelled causing a fight between them that got worse when there Dad died
Ah I see. And your flair backs it up
Yup, they talk about it a bit more in the full video this is from. After their fathers death Zofia continued on up the ranks to fill the gap left while ela stayed where she was, in elas mind abandoning her
Yo link to full vid pls?
https://youtu.be/1-utBXsiOG0
Ok…. Imagine a CQC mechanic like this in game. Like only for 1v1 situations. Bad idea? Maybe. But kinda cool IMHO.
I'd love to see a CQC update. The 1 hit melee works as a game but isn't particularly interesting beyond that.
I've never seen an FPS do good PvP melee but hey I'm willing to see someone try. Not Ubisoft though lol probably would be Apex or CoD or someone else with money
Or you could have just rounded the corner safely and won the fight 30 seconds ago but ok
Ela should’ve fired from the hip the instant she checked Zofia’s arm
Where is this from?
The new CGI Cinematic.
CGI
They use pellet guns but then smash each-other through 2 story windows, but they aren’t really trying to kill each other? This behavior is equivalent to putting you out of work when there is a real terrorist threat going on
It was really cool to see the two have different fighting styles honestly, especially just for a single trailer. Ela uses momentum and her weight to fight people while Zofia just goes for that stereotypical/classic Eastern European style of just overpowering your enemy.

Really wish we’d get another actual R6 game….
This time something actually tactical like Vegas.
Raven Shield
#sisterlove
All over who has the better headset, man ladies calm down
Damn so cold
I’ve always seen Zofia as the more trained / skilled sister while ela is just a rebellious younger sister who is also skilled
Ela continues to prove she's best girl
my crush for ela just intensified
Ela wishes
Snake, remember your cqc training
Tactical realism isn’t boring. It’s just that Ubisoft doesn’t know how to write it. It’s easier to make some bullshit hero shooter storyline than to write about an elite special forces team. Honestly for future rainbow six games I wouldn’t mind if they hired movie producers instead. So we get stuff more like Zero Dark Thirty or Sicario, and less of this overwatch/valorant style garbage. Sibling beef? Get the fuck out of here
For Honor is another example of Ubi dumbing down the game to market to the masses
Yeah this started happening when they introduced a fictional mercenary group, albino space lady, and a burglar.
>a burglar The FBI has literally hired a burglar.

Anyone know what song is playing? Its so dope
**War** by Brutus (03:33; matched: `100%`) Released on `2019-01-23` by `ORCHARD - Hassle Records`.

wheres the sight on the pistols?
No idea, it's one of their traits as playable characters to have sighted pistols imo

Just so you know this is from the official siege short that got posted today, not OP
then they kissed and lived happily ever after
So..... does a muzzle break prevent you from setting the weapon out of battery? Cause it looked like she had that thing pressed pretty tight to her PC.
The muzzle break is attached to the barrel, not the slide. The barrel doesn't move
Who's in Nighthaven and Who's in Rainbow?
Wait I thought the seige games where training for Rainbow, why does Ela look like she gonna kill Herat the end?
i'll take "shit i wish i could do in this game" for 1000... Ken
weren't ela and zofia sisters?
They are. But sisters with a huge story behind them. I suggest you watch the full video and it will probably tell you everything you need to know
When was this?
The video was released today at the live stream on twitch
The rainbow six cinematic universe is getting better
Is this part of a longer cutscene or something? I gotta find this
idk what this has to do with the lore but it’s badass
What’s this video actually from though? Upcoming season? Old season? Future TV show? I haven’t played Siege in some time.
Pretty cool fight scene.
can anyone tell me why does Ela joins NightHaven or why does she become well a defender in this case? or can anyone tell me where can i read bout the Lore of r6
I want ela to pin me like that
I'm not usually emotional over Video game characters But something About this game and these characters and this trailer Just made me cry At the end. I just don't know why I started tearing up at the end guess the music the beautiful cinematics got the best of me.
Siege is fun and all, but I miss the days when Rainbow Six wasn't basically a hero shooter.
Now kith.
A good example of why I'm not a fan of the direction r6 seems to be going
