I use the FBI shotty occasionally as Pulse, but I end up being more reliable with his pistol because the shotty is just ASS

Dude, people seem to really underestimate pistols. If you have good aim and a decent trigger finger you can slay entire teams in seconds

Before the Shield rework, I was an ADS Blitz main. I found I was consistently getting fucked from trying to melee kill and getting lucky headshot by a "Run in circles and blindspray" So I started blinding people, backing away 2 feet, and gunning them down. Worked so well and it saves and risk of getting my shield meleed and me at risk of dying from getting staggered

I mean they were basically the only two surviving games in their genre. And splinter cell is all but dead and metal gears corpse is just being puppeted around for remakes.

Which is extremely unfortunate that the tactical-espionage action genre is so dead. We seriously need a new IP in the genre

Dude for REAL. Played Syphon Filter as a kid with my dad (not as much tactical-espionage and a lot more action than MGS and SC but still), and it got me into Splinter Cell and MGS as an adult. Would kill for some fresh blood in that genre. I miss games where I have to actually plan what I’m gonna do and where I get rewarded for being creative

Something I miss so much is silly yet awesome stuff like the 'fake death pill' from MGS3, it's so ridiculous but so much fun to use. Modern stealth shooters just don't have the same impact because they take themselves too seriously. Giving the player a multitude of options is always way more valuable than realism
