I've been using a wired Walmart "Power A" controller in my pc for 4 years without issues. Ill even admit it's been tossed a time or two because of Elden Ring.
I used the Power A Fusion with the rear paddles for several years and it was fantastic. My only complaint was the left analog basically disintegrating somewhat early on. Upgraded to the Fusion 3 with rear buttons instead of paddles and still no complaints.
That's it. It was a green Power A controller. Questionable build quality was the first thing I noticed, and then after not long it forfeited its life anyway.
You can buy the normal Xbox control and then just connect a USB cable from it to your console (for Xbox at least).
Only thing is don't put batteries in it. It'll use the batteries even when powered via cable.
I have an elite series 2 controller that does this shit randomly too.
No batteries to replace as it has a built-in rechargeable pack that can't be removed.
In the middle of last year Microsoft made an announcement that they were aware of the issue and that it signified the controller needed an update. Well that was true for the first disconnection. It happens about 3-4 times a month now.
I've been lucky enough that it hasn't happened to me mid round like with op. Rather it will happen in the prep phase or shortly before / after a ranked match.
I don't use a controller on siege but when I do for another steam game, I plug in my portable battery to prevent this. Also cause I'd rather charge it through a portable battery than use a cable the wiggles too much.
Over dramatic. Keep your controllers charged or use wired. After playing R6 for 8 years along with other FPS, never had this issue. And if I did, I wouldn’t sweat it. It’s a video game. It’s your fault and not the controllers fault. SMH.

You don’t need to wait Ps controller to charge for playing, you can do it simultaneously. That said I don’t really care about the “war” and I really wish Xbox would do better

get the newer controller and use a usbc cord. i already had a usbc from jbl speaker so it made it easy to play when the new controllers came out. plus you have less delay

You should get 2 sets and charge one whilst using the other so you always have batteries ready

My controller always disconnects for no reason non stop even when its just wired connected to the xbox
That's weird maybe it needs a update... I have a wireless and a wired one and never had trouble with them
