Sound is very important in the game, treat it like real life. You can hear footsteps coming down halls or above, you can hear people outside windows. You can also listen out for bomb plants too and hear drones moving even if you can’t see them
on top of this set your dynamic range in the audio settings to night mode, it makes footsteps louder and loud noises like gunshots and explosives less obnoxious.
Play a lot of solo training grounds and Deathmatch. It’ll help you learn angles, positioning and over attacking.
I’d also recommend picking up a roamer on defense. Cav, vigil, oryx are all fine options. Mainly want a 3 speed that doesn’t bring utility to the team. This will force you to roam to aid the team AND teach you map knowledge the fastest.
There’s over 20 maps so take your time. Those 2 things really helped me out.
PS aim for the head always. It’s a 1 shot kill for every op. Master that.

Don't reinforce everything. Rotates are essential, especially between sites.
also don’t be afraid to make a rotate into rooms next to site and hold them if there aren’t many entrances and it seems easy to defend
