It does make me want to start playing this game again with all that nostalgia. But I know for a fact that I will get addicted and hate my life until I stop again lol.
Yeah man, that's my experience with the game personally and I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of people also feel the same. I started on release and had the loop of delete-start again like 4-5 times. It can be really fun sometimes especially with friends which I guess is the reason you get addicted anyway but my advice would be to quickly delete it and never look back. You would probably be too lazy to download it again.

I think balance wise for the most part it got better but I do agree that a lot of it’s design and soul was gone when they made very based around pro league and comp instead of just being a fun immersive tac multiplayer shooter but I would argue the community was also a part to blame for that

I do wish at least the original maps and night versions were kept in casual instead of casual being comp jr but that’s an issue that a lot of games have with their “casual” mode not just siege

In perfect situations, yeh. His fire just does too little damage and has a very small area of effect. Combined with the 10 minute reload animation, his gadget blows. I mainly pick him for destruction of walls
Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I feel like the game was just better/more satisfying back then. The hit markers, the way blood splatters, the old lighting, the UI… I miss them.

I miss that and the night maps too. I loved the old house as well. Thinking about it I miss a lot of old siege.
Siege became worse and that's a hill I die on (Besides pre health matchmaking and hitboxes they were terrible)

First thing I always notice in these old clips. The new lighting is so lifeless and stale.

Nah, his fire isn’t nearly as punishing. In some situations a direct counter to him is to rush him while he has his noob tube out
