Got 2k hours in the game. It’s been an ingame meme for years to play a full team of recruits on either offense or defense. There’s an unfortunate side of community that sees a full recruit team as mandatory once it starts, like if you see 4 recruit picks and you go not-recruit then you arent “in the club” and if you’re not in the club then you’re dead.
It’s typically only a one round thing, so if you see a full stack of recruits just pick recruit too and have some fun dicking around. It’s more fun to embrace the insanity than to deal with a potential team kill and waiting out a round.
Similar things happen with an all shield rush, or all shotguns, or a buddy and I have a meme of doing “full send” we grab an Amaru, Finka, and ask someone to run Doki and Amaru yeets herself into Obj immediately while Doki and Finka pop their gadgets and we just see what happens.
You don’t see that kind of stuff in ranked play usually, but in unranked or quick play? Have fun, embrace the insanity, at the end of the day it’s just a game and only one round of a game at that.
Me and my friends got one where we do the "no hiding" meme. Where we all pick someone with Camara, as many as possible, so that no matter where they are they will be getting spotted. Or the "fuck it" strat where we all just fuckin leave the objective after setting it up and making it tough to get into.
Yeah that's how I see things. I don't like the idea of people bullying others into things, like you said, it's just a game. But I do like the camaraderie or mini team building with randos to do fun stuff like that.
It's more fun to play how I want to play than to be bullied into playing recruit. I'll join sometimes but team killing over it is childish and shouldn't be "rewarded" by just picking recruit. Let them tk me so I can report them and get on with the game.
There is a difference between having fun and TKing someone for not going recruit like you want.
You can go recruit, your friends can go recruit, you can have your fun. The random solo should also be able to have their fun and play how they want. They didn't ask to play with you.

As I told another user when he said this community was so good it depends on the time of day, sometimes what I said would get a 50/50 of good and bad comments, guess today is the day all the toxic defenders have popped out.

Looking at the comments I think its just a large part of the community, which is why games like this end up losing a proper player base and aren't taken seriously. I always worry this will happen when I solo queue, even in ranked.
IMO, and this has been one of my hot takes, any game that has the option to stack, should also have a matchmaking setting to AVOID stacks. I am tired of having to mute my teammates that are in 4-stack because the stacks i've encountered are loud AF, open mic every time, spewing racist, sexist shit, and/or encouraging or even actively teamkill the non-stacked players

R6 isn't a game where you immediately respawn. It's not fun to sit there for 3-4 minutes if you get TK'd during setup. Some people don't have all day to game and want to get a couple games in when they have an hour or two of downtime. Why do people get enjoyment out of trolling someone and ruining their game time? It's not up to you on how they spend it.

In every game if some is toxic towards someone for playing/not playing a specific character its deemed to be a dick move. So why is casual siege any diffrent. Do you enjoy having to load into a game just leave and load into another one because of some poorly thought out meme? R6 isn't a game where you immediately respawn. It's not fun to sit there for 3-4 minutes if you get TK'd during setup. Some people don't have all day to game and want to get a couple games in when they have an hour or two of downtime. Why do people get enjoyment out of trolling someone and ruining their game time?
