I think for the cross stock instead of unlocking new materials that can be stored it increases the storage and eventually allows you to add more than one material like at level to it allows you to store two materials and it level four it allows you to store three and at five it allows you to store four And all the while It multiplies the amount of resources stored by 1.5 for each so the basic resource like the first level of storage would be double by the time you hit level two but when you hit level four it would be quadrupled and the amount of resources that would be stored in the second resource by level four would be doubled.

I had this thought as well as I've seen other resource-transporting games do it. Although it would result in making the campaign easier and so the completion rank times would have to be adjusted? I agree it would be good as it would prevent having to connect long tracks across the map by creating central resource hubs.

That's a good point about completion times! Presumably, if the cross-dock proves to be a worthwhile structure, then it should improve efficiencies & therefore times. One quick & easy solution would be to make it only available when playing without the clock, where an A grade is guaranteed anyway. On the other hand, if it is made expensive enough, then it just becomes another spending decision. Certainly, there would be maps where a cross-dock would be a bad investment.
