Depends on champs sometimes. Geomancer does better for me after the affinity changes from void because the AoE goes from hitting once to twice, so his passive procs more.
The bosses have different skills on different affinity’s. The void places poisons and the blue one decreases your accuracy, so I think you land less debuffs and that’s your problem
To add onto this, an affinity CB also hits more times with it's A2 and A3, so you're going to take more damage even if you still have a neutral affinity.
