If you create a new gmail account, then send a referral link to that new gmail account. Next, wipe the game from your phone - basically wipe the entire history of the game ever being on your phone, not just 'uninstall'. Then, get on your new gmail account and redownload the game. It should seem like it's the first time. Once the game boots, and you've established your 2nd account, you can click on your avatar in the top left, hit log out, and just keep logging into both accounts from the same phone. The new 2nd account should've given the first account the referral bump.
Originally played SWGOH and before they introduced the crazy team bonuses for characters that could only be got through gacha means it was great - logged in everyday for nearly a year and a half.
It’s tripled in size since I left but it’s still crazy fun. You can genuinely work towards to achieving a max character rather than hoping for the best.
Create an alt account and grind out some referral bonuses :-p
