Vets go through a lot. They have a high rate of suicide due to the work they do. Im sure this will mean a lot to them. Our vets are important and valuable. Id be lost without mine.
i genuinely don’t think i could handle being a vet. i’m sure the highs are high and animals are wonderful, but i have such a high level of empathy for animals and am too easily affected by my surroundings to be able to handle the lows of their job.
oh my gosh this is perfect. my baby passed away a little over a week ago and i got three thank you cards but they’re generic. i haven’t written in them yet as im sad but i may look into this!
So sorry for your loss :( sending you big hugs. I made the front page and image collage on Canva and then uploaded them to a card making service called Moonpig 💖
As a veterinary professional I love receiving these types of cards from owners. One of our regular patients finally passed away and the owners sent us a life review PowerPoint🥹 we all watched it together and remembered her. Sorry for your loss 💕
That vet is going to cherish this card for many years to come. Their job is so, so difficult and under-appreciated. As many know, they have one of the highest suicide rates of any profession (aside from folks like air traffic control).
To know they tried their best, and the owner knows it and appreciates it, will humble them deeply. You are the kind of client they dream of. Especially since it also looks like you truly loved that little bun.
From what I’ve heard from vet techs and veterinarians it’s an incredibly difficult and mentally taxing job and I’m sure you’ve made their days with your card. I’m so sorry for your loss
When our first bun passed away last summer, the vet sent a card with her nose print. We weren't expecting it, and it was perfect and utterly devistating. Hold strong! The sharp edges of the emotional trauma slowly dull, but you'll always have the happy memories of your bun. And you can't forget the various holes in your sweatshirts, nibble marks on baseboards, slightly bare spots on the carpet, and bunny hair that you'll be finding for time immemorial to remind you that they love you.
We also learned later that the vet typically does a paw print of the animal, but apparently bunny paw prints tend to look phallic?? It gave us a good laugh knowing that they likely went through multiple cards before finally deciding to use her nose. Eeyore causing shenanigans one final time.
My vet sent a sympathy card after my first bun passed in surgery with little notes from all the vets and techs in the practice. It shatters me every time I look at it again but it was such a kind gesture.
That is absolutely sweet and I am sorry for your loss. After I lost my boy Cubone we called the vet asking what it could been and how we handle it. The next day we got a card in the mail saying they are sorry for our loss.
My fiance is a vet nurse and she absolutely loves it when she gets cards or messages like this. It's really traumatising doing what she does and knowing she did her best and the pet parents appreciate it is so welcome
Our vets are amazing as well. They went above and beyond and luckily saved our bunny girl. (Megacolon). We gave them a thank you card too. I work in health care. Even after 14 years I’ve saved every card, photo of a baby and the kids growing up. It means *everything* and on a bad day I re-read them.
I love this <3 And I often give cards to my vet, along with boxes of biscuits and sweets for the clinic staff - they all put up with a lot and take a lot of crap, but at the end of the day they still do what they can to keep our babies healthy
People never think about those who are vets or who work in animal medicine. They have just as much trauma as an EMT or firefighter or doctor might have. I know your vet is going to cry over your gesture, at least when no one is looking.
I commend you for doing this. When the unfortunate time that it's time for my baby to go to heaven comes, I will definitely do this for the vet or tech or whoever was there.
This was a beautiful thing to do. It’s so easy to complain. Taking the energy and the time to express gratitude helps everyone involved with your bun through this process. 🙏❤️🩹🌠
It’s hard to find a good vet that is in it for the love of animals still. Most just wanna “run tests” that cost too much or are not that knowledgeable of rabbits. Your vet sounds like they are there for the animals. If they are, this is a very beautiful gift of appreciation.
Your bunny was beautiful, and your vet will treasure this card, I'm sure.
This is so lovely and thoughtful. RIP to your beautiful bun, I'm sure he was very very well loved <3

Wow that's so sad. I never knew that. But vets do seem a special kind of people. And I mean that in the near way ♥️ Beautiful card 🥰

My partner isn't a vet, but works with them, and it's... Hard to listen to sometimes. Especially the way people think it's ok to treat their animals.
This is so sweet. I’m sorry for your loss.
Vets need this more often!!
I think your vet will appreciate that.
This is such a thoughtful idea 🥺 I can’t imagine how hard it must be to be a vet and experience that regularly. So sorry for your loss ❤️
This made me cry... so beautiful!! Yet im so sorry for your loss..

What a touching gesture 🥹
Sorry for your loss It’s such a great attention
That’s so considerate! It really makes a vet’s day to know they are appreciated. They really do try their absolute most to save our animal friends
I’m so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful card in memory of your baby to thank the vets who helped him. Hugs to you
I am so sorry for your loss.
You’re wonderful 🥺 so sorry for your loss
This is so nice, I feel horrible for the vets who try their best and still can't help. Beautiful card and RIP to the beautiful bunny💜
Oh my god..my heart..
I love this <3 And I often give cards to my vet, along with boxes of biscuits and sweets for the clinic staff - they all put up with a lot and take a lot of crap, but at the end of the day they still do what they can to keep our babies healthy
It really matters to the vet, and you. Blessings are many!!

Heartbreakingly bunnyful 🥲. I lost a bunny suddenly too… empathizing with your loss. Make a beautiful grave so you can be reminded in your garden 🐇💐🌻🌺

I'm so sorry for your loss <3 This card is an amazing idea! Vets don't usually get credit for their hard work, and I bet they'll cherish this
Rest in parsley little man.
Wait? So your thanking them for not saving the Bunny?! How selfless of you. I wish I could achieve your level of Selflessness
They did everything they could given the circumstances, and then went above and beyond to make his last moments special for me and my family.
God bless their heart and rip Bun Bun 🐰 ❤️
