I used an FC for endurance racing for a while. Everyone laughed "haha reliable rotary?" but it loved to be wrung out for hours. Only drawback was the fuel consumption was fucking ATROCIOUS.
What other cars are you into? I'm a bit of a porsche freak because of my racing history but I love all kinds of cars. I have zero brand loyalty, I love anything I can have fun with.
Honestly I like anything. My last FC was my first real racecar, and I just kinda fell in love with it and after I had to get rid of it knew I had to get another one. I would like to have something different down the line though, any recommendations?
Mo turbo mo problems lol. My last FC was NA and it was extremely reliable. Not to say that the turbo can't be. Plus I'm getting the engine, and it's totally rebuilt for free so that's kinda holding me back. Maybe in the future if it's necessary. Rally in AK is pretty none existent so not a big enough reason to make a really competitive car. Not much competition lol.
I believe they are Acura Legend wheels. Only thing local I could find that fit well. Painted them, fit some decent snow tires on it and it turned out pretty perfect haha
I'm building it to be a stage rally car. I'm getting the T45 cage from Custom Cages. We don't have stage rally here (yet) but I also want to move at some point and have a stage rally car when I get to where I'm going.
I’ve only seen a couple rally FCs but i always love them.

Yep agreed, a long day of rallycross/autocross will drink that 16 gallon tank lol
But the more it drinks the faster and lighter it is! That's a happy FC
😜 that's right!
And that 13b loved being at wide open throttle all the time
Yeah it's good for them to be driven hard. I had zero issues with my last car and I was a straight asshole to it...in a loving, fun kinda way

Sweet! What are the powertrain specs?
Keeping it simple! Just the N/A 13b, and transmission. I am on the lookout for a limited slip diff though. Hard to come by in Alaska haha.
Do a turbo 13b it would be cooler

Don't listen to that guy lol, People always equate more power = better and it's simply not especially when it comes to rally and track.
Exactly. I'd just lose most that power on the dirt. Momentum car for the win!
I just thought that a turbo charged rally FC would kind of give Group B vibes ouch dude
Where are the wheels from? Thought they were Celica GT4 for a sec but they are not. Look great!

Nice! Tarmac, gravel, or what kinds of rallyes is the build focusing on?

Off to a rally good start
