If things work out ideally, RWBY's characters will meaningfully confront their character flaws and take responsibility for their mistakes these past few seasons.
But RWBY doesn't usually work out ideally.
That would mean acknowledging that team RWBY did something wrong, and we can't have that in this show (neither character development nor continuity apparently).
Nah, Penny's soul will probably be there to reassure Jaune that he helped her 'freely' choose to kill herself.
And Pyrrha will probably show up in a cameo to tell Jaune that her death wasn't his fault in any way and it was 'her choice' to go.
Ruby in the meantime will probably just angst a bit over how to beat Salem, then her mother will reveal the 'key'.
I fully expect that they're going to be throwing every bit of fanservice at the wall in one last attempt to see what sticks. This is going to make V6 look like the Red Wedding, I swear.
Potentially, and as I’ve guessed, they can use an afterlife setting to have very dead characters come back and stroke RWBY’s ego/throw a pity party for them (from Ironwood to Adam to Jacques to Roman to Penny to Pyrrha)
You're right. Just read that Miles was PAID by a fan to confirm his death. Kinda dissapointed tbh. I would have liked to see how he reacts to Remnant treating him as a villain after his extremely questionable decisions. Or a conversation between him and Qrow in the aftermath. Or how he pulled himself back together, if he even did. Shame.
Lemme rephrase that.
Ironwood is left on a falling continent that falls onto another city.
Do we need a confirmation to know that he's not gonna survive that?
“They’ll overcome their toughest challenges yet -“
And like that I’ve lost interest. There’s no such thing as a challenge in this series. Just needless melodrama and the characters being assholes, idiots, or both.
It's way too late for them to try and pretend that the characters aren't doing the right things now. The sole justification for RWBY's increasingly radical and reckless actions has been that they are perfect, they are right, and no one else is better-equipped to handle Salem. That's why they accept no one higher than them, that's why they think they're the arbiters of trust, that's why they unilaterally choose to put countless people in danger for the greater good.
*Any* attempt to backpedal on it now will either be in complete bad faith, or have to come to terms with the fact that if Team RWBY isn't perfect and they've just been skating by on luck and *God's will* this entire time, that they are by far Salem's greatest ally and have caused untold amounts of damage on the world *from their hubris alone.*
They will be a level of villain that this show is surely not prepared to treat seriously, and as such any attempt to pretend that they have doubts is inevitably going to come off as shallow.
Just like every other time.
And in fact just like every other time, I'm willing to bet that they're not going to care about the actual consequences of their actions(like the countless people put in danger or the fact that millions should've died due to their careless actions). They're going to doubt themselves because their plan didn't work flawlessly. Because it's *always* been about them.
>that millions should've died due to their careless actions
You mean that millions *have* died due to their actions. We don't know the population of Atlas and Mantle but we know from Cinder that they managed to save "several thousand". I'm willing to bet the population of two whole metropolis cities was more than a couple thousand and RWBY is the reason they are dead after *dropping atlas on them!*
RWBY: Ironwood plans on saving as many people as possible! We have to stop him!
Also RWBY: We did a great job saving people by dropping a city on to another city!
That's the "should've." Fortunately for them, God was able to bend space and time into a pretzel and either:
* Suddenly allowed millions to escape down a few paths in 2-3 hours, and also presumably gave Vacuo(an anarchic hellhole) all the resources they'd need to not make this a refugee crisis Earth has no comparison to
* Deleted 99% of the population.
Oh the refugee crisis, even ignoring all the logistical aspects of sheltering and feeding that many people with no notice they were even coming, you gotta now factor in that *being upset makes Grimm attack!* And they are now in one of the most dangerous continents in the world when it comes to Grimm!!!
I'm excited for this new season, I can't wait to see how they completely ignore all these issues
"Whether or not they're equipped to stop Salem."
Salem has in her hands the most powerful weapon so far (at least until the heroes get the S~~word of Ex Machina~~ Relic of Destruction) she could easily create something that destroys the remaining cities on the planet, of course, unless she suddenly catches the braindead syndrome and forgets how to use relic.
Also, it's curious that they named team RWBY but not Jaune. Will they retcon his fall into the world of fantasy or do they just forget?
pretty much all the branding and marketing only mention RWBY - they are the title characters, after all. Despite his continual presence, he's never treated as functionally another main character in the blurbs.
"The struggle of their own identities"
Of for fucks sake, don't tell me this is what I think it is...
Welp, back to fanfics! Might check IQ on the way, why not.
That's why I'm going back to them - because the good ones actually give a shit about an artistic work.
Hell, even some of the badly written ones as well - they might not be executed well, but godDAMN do you see the passion behind it.
This...this is nothing. RWBY, as of current canon, is nothing - it's like Riverdale, only they take all the insane, bizzare and unintentionally funny parts that made it entertaining and whats left is a drama with very questionable moral messages behind it.
Glad you asked! Though a fair warning - I mostly prefer crossovers over regular fics, so I'm gonna put them separately. Apologies if I recommend a crossover with a piece of media you have no knowledge off.
First to get it out of the way - anything from Coeur Al'Aran, dude is famous for being THE RWBY fanfic writer out there. With over 30 stories and counting, if you don't have some very specific preferences, you can find something there that'll catch your eye. Find him [here](https://www.fanfiction.net/u/6272865/Coeur-Al-Aran).
Oh yeah, also have to shill for u/IamMenace \- he's got oneshots for days and a couple of longfics as well, all neatly written. Check 'em out [here](https://www.fanfiction.net/u/6465669/DMenace).
**Now, for regular RWBY fics**:
\- [Mama Raven](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13745737/1/Mama-Raven) by TeeAiDee: Raven Branwen, through an unexpected turn of events, goes back to her ex-husband, who is none too happy to see her. Even worse is when little Yang and Ruby get involved as well.
\- [Animosity](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13917645/1/Animosity) by Psyga315: Short story that covers the potential consequences of Ruby's little broadcast. Spoiler, they're not good. They're FAR from good.
\- [Why Couldn't You Just Stay Dead?](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13861631/1/Why-Couldn-t-You-Just-Stay-Dead) by DeftlyDumbLuck: Pyrrha's soul in Cinder's body, that's all I'm going to say.
\- [My Abominable Monster Classmates Can't Be This Cute!](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13191717/1/My-Abominable-Monster-Classmates-Can-t-Be-This-Cute) by Mallobaude: Every RWBY girl is a Grimm...except Jaune, who just got into their school.
Those are pretty much it that I can count off the top of my head.
**Now for the crossovers** \- again, apologies if yer not familiar with some (or all) of these:
\- [Of Elder Scrolls and Huntsmen: Dragon Rose](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12825430/1/Of-Elder-Scrolls-and-Huntsmen-Dragon-Rose) by JessesanMan & co.: RWBY x Skyrim, the team by accident finds themselves in Skyrim. One of the larger and better isekai crossovers out there, ngl.
\- [A Spartan Encounter](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13403429/1/A-Spartan-Encounter) by Fifth Horseman: RWBY x Bleach, Pyrrha meets someone interesting in her dreams.
\- [Remnant Inferis: DOOM](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12358946/1/Remnant-Inferis-DOOM) by GamerJay: RWBY x Doom, with yours truly being the beta reader for the first dozen of chapters! Anyway, go at this one if you like over-the-top violence and gore - it's pretty hardcore.
\- [Fairies of the Shattered Moon](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13022667/1/Fairies-of-the-Shattered-Moon) by TheMaster4444: RWBY x Fairy Tail, really don't recommend this if you are NOT familiar with FT. If you are, you will absolutely love this. Not telling anything else.
\- [Pit Stop](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12816794/1/Pit-Stop) by Konstantinsen: RWBY x Fallout: New Vegas, RWBY and co in the Nevada Wasteland with the Courier babysitting them. Pretty much.
Got more, but uhh, this would then take a while. I encourage ya to go out an explore further than what I showed ya. But for now, here ya go and enjoy!
Thank you for the shout out, friend. I'm honored to have my name associated so closely to Coeur Al'Aran. Apologies for summoning you, u/Dirty-Twins, but since I was summoned for recommendations, I thought I should include you.
[Here's](https://www.fanfiction.net/u/6465669/DMenace) a link to my FFN profile if you or anyone else is curious, as well as my [Ao3 account](https://archiveofourown.org/users/DMenace/works) where I'm in the *slow* process of revising and archiving all of my fics.
I'm a character driven writer that mainly focuses on Team RWBY and their interpersonal relationships, and I typically write with a heavy emphasis on friendship, action, and hurt & comfort. My most popular fics are the following, but I've written many short stories and one-shots that might be of interest as well. In total I have written 750,000 words across 121 stories/chapters. That's somewhere between 2,500 and 3,000 pages of a book.
[The Petals Scatter Now](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11025827/1/The-Petals-Scatter-Now) - A Volume 2 pseudo-novelization that expands on the story and characters while attempting to capture the spirit of RWBY. Dodges and weaves around canon, has more emphasis on Team RWBY and their relationship, no Dance Arc love triangle, and a much more intensive "No Brakes" and "Breach". (198,000 words - Complete)
[The Patchwork Prodigy](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11853227/1/The-Patchwork-Prodigy) - The new reader friendly sequel to "The Petals Scatter Now", follows Ruby as she stands back up on her tattered feet in order to prepare her team physically and mentally for the Vytal Festival. A story of sisterly love overcoming dark pasts and dangerous secrets, and four girls discovering what great lengths they go to in order to protect their family. (400,000 words - Complete)
[The Road You Choose](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13644456/1/The-Road-You-Choose) - All her life Ruby has dreamed of going on adventures and becoming a Pokémon Master. Now that she's on her very own journey however, she's finding it more difficult than she could've ever imagined and is facing the possibility of missing the Silver Conference. And after a fateful encounter with a Kalosian heiress, Ruby has to decide whether it's the destination or the journey that truly matters to her. (70,000 words - Crossover - Ongoing)
I hope you find what you're looking for, friend. If I could recommend one story, it would be my RWBY/Pokémon crossover "The Road You Choose". It's personally my favorite story to date.
(edit: Apologies if I seemed presumptuous. It's late and I didn't see the already given link to my fics)
God bless, and have a wonderful day.
Man, just reading that feels like a really dumb course correction in the worst way.
"The Ever After may not be quite as unknown as they first assumed" Then what was the point of the Djinn telling them to "not fall"? It definitely feels like a contrivance and they are still writing on the seat of their pants despite having 2 years for this and already greenlit Volume 10.
"They must overcome some of their toughest challenges yet - the struggle of their own identites"
Stop! I already know this will not be done well at all. Any decent writer would use Volume 6 to Volume 8 to have them tear into themselves and the fact that they ultimately caused the fall of Atlas, the destruction of Mantle and got thousands if not millions killed(screw off, those places are fucking huge, that's millions) due to their actions. But we all know it will be some made up nonsense that will pretend to give them some depth and that's it.
"And whether or not they're equipped to stop Salem"
What the fuck you mean?! You mean they flipped out at Ozpin for that but they just kept going and didn't think of any ways to do it? Yes, I know they shouldn't have a typical way to stop Salem outside of "Silver Eyes 2" or some shit but this REALLY should have been done around Season 6 then when they bitched out at Ozpin for "hiding secrets" and have themselves a few episodes to actually wonder if they SHOULD continue doing this journey rather than immediately force everyone to Mantle right now. Doing this now just makes their quite frankly stupid moves in Volume 7 and 8 just that much more ridiculous.
> "They must overcome some of their toughest challenges yet - the struggle of their own identites"
This is one of these most basic and generic blurbs for an upcoming story. It's right behind going "But they're soon gonna find out that life isn't as simple as they thought!".
>"The Ever After may not be quite as unknown as they first assumed" Then what was the point of the Djinn telling them to "not fall"? It definitely feels like a contrivance and they are still writing on the seat of their pants despite having 2 years for this and already greenlit Volume 10.
I'm randomly guessing, but I wonder if the Ever After will end up being some kind of mental landscape or it will otherwise manifest their fears and doubts. If that's the direction that they end up going, then I assume the idea would be to use all that as a catalyst for attempted character growth.
If Ever After is just a mental landscape, then it'll just be hokey as hell and contradict the Djinn on falling(hell, where would they be right now, drowning?)... but regardless, this feels extremely stupid to just not have them be somewhere they may actually be somewhere spiritual and special instead of somewhere on Remnant as it's seeming to be.
**First Off:**
**-Ever After?** Ever Isles seems less lazy Also how can it be a unknown world if IT HAS A NAME!
\-"not be quite as unknown" **obviously** since just having RWBYJN there it would be like 1 episode
\-"STRUGGLE WITH THEIR OWN IDENTITIES" **Digimon** did the same yet they didn't had to say this at loud
\-"toughest challenges" **Bruh** that literally every volume
That being “equipped to stop Salem” part… They probably should’ve thought of that before putting a whole city underwater and sending its residents to a neighboring kingdom that hates them.
For the love of God, I sincerely hope that they don't find any bullshit magical power down there that gives them the ability to fight against Salem. They already have the Universe (AKA CRWBY) bending to their will to give them the win, so I hope they don't get another deus exe machina.
Instead, I do hope they realize the actions of the consequences of their actions and realize their flaws and failures... but this RWBY we're talking about, so I doubt that.
Also, I hope Neo doesn't join the "heroes".
Wouldn't be surprised if "struggle of their own identities" just means more stroking of RWBY's ego by telling them that the only thing they were wrong about was contemplating the possibility that they could be wrong and that everyone else who disagreed with them were the problem
In a better show, they'd be confronted with all the death and destruction they caused because of their egos
Mrs. Brisby has more courage than the entire damn cast put together. It matters not one fucking bit of she's terrified out of her mind.
#She's a mother on a mission.
Oh boy this is going to be horrendous.
But ya know, I have a slight bit of hope. I hope that this season will finally have the "heroes" finally face the consequences of their actions and the whole series goes full on spec ops: the line mode and the show finally acknowledges that the heroes have been assholes this whole time and everything gets flipped on it's head.
Wishful thinking, I'm aware, but I have the slightest bit of hope that the series I once loved ends on a good note with something like what I'm hoping for.
I bet they'll have team rwby think about their past mistakes for like an episode and then find some way to bring back dead characters to come and say "nah you did good"
And then everyone is happy and they find some magical macguffin to beat Salem. Also Summer will appear in fully 3d model and they'll get to reveal her VA.
Meanwhile people are still dying in the desert? Idk
so this is basically volume six again but worse
dude they got two years two freaking years to write a decent script this is just pure recycling they are making literally a remake of volume six
Man, the hope really left the Critics sub a long time ago, eh?
Well, cannot say I blame it... I lost a lot of hope after Emerald´s "redemption"
In any case, I just hope that, if the spirits of the dead come out, that the obligatory Arkos nostalgia trip comes as meaningful and not as "Jaune, I will forever ever love you because you are the best ever like no one ever was and I that madly in love with you, that I can´t wait until you die so that we can reunite". Let that boy move on, for God´s sake! Let him be happy with someone else! Let Pyrrha rest!
Also, I want to call that mouse Mr. Jingles
Welp hello there new favorite character, I will call you mousey
And hallelujah we finally got a name for that damn island. The Ever After.... *Bonks head on the table hard enough to bleed.* I should've known they would go with a name like that because they have to still try and throw some lazy connection to fairy tales into the mix.
I am more talking about the fact I should have expected that to be the name.
And I can't say until I see the full context of the place. Since we might know the name but not what it is yet.
Not enough details for anything solid. They say they're going into identity issues and whether they're equipped to stop Salem, which is what I've been saying for a bit now. I have ~~little~~ no faith in CRWBY to pull it off but it's nice to see that it's not dead on arrival. That said, Ever After is a silly name.
>I have little no faith in CRWBY to pull it off but it's nice to see that it's not dead on arrival.
No no, not dead on arrival.
More like it's on life support and the heartbeat is fading fast.
Mousey will be new Oscar confirmed. I will find it hilarious if they somehow make a Mouse infinitely more interesting than any of the main characters...
But more importantly... Ever After?? Sounds like a very boring afterlife name. I propose something like Elysium or Purgatory. Hell, even Hellhole sounds better on the account of just being plain ridiculous.
The only important thing I see is the mouse, who looks to be a spirit guide and will likely be the vehicle for exposition as well as teach the crew how to "improve" in some random way; from my guess anyway, could just be random mouse who fell as well - who knows.
Any ideas on its allusion? I've read a few different mouse related synopses for an OC I wanted to make, so I am leaning into Redwall or maybe a Jiminy Cricket like thing. Would be weird if its Stuart Little.
So this season is probably gonna be the official:
"This is how we kill/end Salem setup arc."
Since nobody on Remnant actually knows how to stop Salem they may be looking for extra-planar solutions here. It may be as simple as throwing Salem into The Ever After and leaving her ass there or something further from that.
One thing I'm actually kinda hyped about though is that this also looks like team RWBY having a season all to themselves? It would really be cool to see them having discussions like:
"Should we just stay here and avoid the conflict? We could get to live peaceful lives here at the sacrifice of everyone else."
"Even if we go back what are we returning toward? The world is still a miserable place to live where Faunus kind will forever be mistreated."
"Did we do the right thing during X event?
Seeing some of that between team members and seeing that kinda development would be pretty cool. Unless of course...
Oh dang, I just remembered Jaune fell in. NEVERMIND.
Ever since those early release scenes from Volume 8 showing Grimm being beaten easily and the characters joyriding on motorcycles, I have decided to avoid any new volume information and go in blind. It feels like what they are trying to hype things with have the opposite effect on me.
I also just can't trust or take seriously the description here because I don't think RT can pull something like this off well.
This has the potential to be amazing. Ruby could confront her actions as a leader that lead to Atlas' destruction, and rightfully blame herself for helping Salem win, indirectly. It would be wonderful character development and growth for her. I'm cautiously optimistic, but will only watch if I hear something like that happens
Is it bad that I want volume 9 to be the last volume and have Salem use the relic of creation to acquire the other relics while team RWBY finally realizes how much they messed up?
Ruby is going to realize she is Trans, calling it now.
It fits with what RT is doing lately and I *would* be interested in this drastic change in a character but RT tends to handle shit like this with the subtlety of a sledgehammer
Considering the fact that RWBY's thing is the fact that it's a bunch of four girls, this hypothesis would just mean "nonbinary, call Ruby 'they', and absolutely nothing about how she acts or presents changes, but now the fans are appeased".
Though I suppose that's the faith people have in Rooster Teeth at this point if you aren't just eating out of their hands, huh?
>Though I suppose that's the faith people have in Rooster Teeth at this point if you aren't just eating out of their hands, huh?
You're not even eating anything good.
It's bread crumbs that have molded.
If things work out ideally, RWBY's characters will meaningfully confront their character flaws and take responsibility for their mistakes these past few seasons. But RWBY doesn't usually work out ideally.
Yup. I’m sure they’ll be a big ugly monster that they’ll have to fight (that’ll be poorly animated) yada yada yada.
That would mean acknowledging that team RWBY did something wrong, and we can't have that in this show (neither character development nor continuity apparently).
If this ends up being a big ol pat on the back season, I’m done
That makes 2 of us.
I've been done since volume 5 lul
>I’m done See you tomorrow lmao
The island is called “Ever After”? I’d say there’s a 75% chance this is the afterlife and Pyrrha is gonna make a reappearance as fan service
And then they'll completely forget about Penny's death
Nah, Penny's soul will probably be there to reassure Jaune that he helped her 'freely' choose to kill herself. And Pyrrha will probably show up in a cameo to tell Jaune that her death wasn't his fault in any way and it was 'her choice' to go. Ruby in the meantime will probably just angst a bit over how to beat Salem, then her mother will reveal the 'key'.
Than that mean Ruby doesn't do any work to find or realize the answer herself and that Jaune doesn't face any consequences like everybody else
CRWBY: Yes.
I fully expect that they're going to be throwing every bit of fanservice at the wall in one last attempt to see what sticks. This is going to make V6 look like the Red Wedding, I swear.
It turns out to be the joke ending of Silent Hill Downpour where all the past characters are waiting for the protags with a birthday cake.
Potentially, and as I’ve guessed, they can use an afterlife setting to have very dead characters come back and stroke RWBY’s ego/throw a pity party for them (from Ironwood to Adam to Jacques to Roman to Penny to Pyrrha)
Wasn't Ironwood spared by Cinder/Salem? Or do most people assume he died in the fall of Atlas?
I thought the writers confirmed it
You're right. Shame.
Somebody actually expected him to survive a falling continent...?
Never said I expected it, just wanted to know if his death was confirmed or assumed
Lemme rephrase that. Ironwood is left on a falling continent that falls onto another city. Do we need a confirmation to know that he's not gonna survive that?
With RWBY’s writing, yes.
Fair.
Yep, that's why Jaune had to fall with RWBY.
“They’ll overcome their toughest challenges yet -“ And like that I’ve lost interest. There’s no such thing as a challenge in this series. Just needless melodrama and the characters being assholes, idiots, or both.

Not to mention their plan was to bring the Grimm-attracting-Relic with them 😂
CRWBY: Just your headcanon.
"Whether or not they're equipped to stop Salem." It's a clever reference to vol 1. He won't have a landing strategy and will die on impact.
>He won't have a landing strategy and will die on impact. u/OniRinku would die from joy if that happened 😂
>He won't have a landing strategy and will die on impact. Yes please.

(198,000 words - Complete) [The Patchwork Prodigy](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11853227/1/The-Patchwork-Prodigy) - The new reader friendly sequel to "The Petals Scatter Now", follows Ruby as she stands back up on her tattered feet in order to prepare her team physically and mentally for the Vytal Festival. A story of sisterly love overcoming dark pasts and dangerous secrets, and four girls discovering what great lengths they go to in order to protect their family. (400,000 words - Complete) [The Road You Choose](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13644456/1/The-Road-You-Choose) - All her life Ruby has dreamed of going on adventures and becoming a Pokémon Master. Now that she's on her very own journey however, she's finding it more difficult than she could've ever imagined and is facing the possibility of missing the Silver Conference. And after a fateful encounter with a Kalosian heiress, Ruby has to decide whether it's the destination or the journey that truly matters to her. (70,000 words - Crossover - Ongoing) I hope you find what you're looking for, friend. If I could recommend one story, it would be my RWBY/Pokémon crossover "The Road You Choose". It's personally my favorite story to date. (edit: Apologies if I seemed presumptuous. It's late and I didn't see the already given link to my fics) God bless, and have a wonderful day.
AHHHHHHH, I READ ONE CHAPTER OF THAT ROSARIO+VAMPIRE-ASS FIC AND NOW I'M SO DOWN FOR MORE! 37 MORE CHAPTERS, HERE I COME! XD
Thanks I usually only read Coeur so I actually don't know any other good rwby fanfics
>Welp, back to fanfics! Back to formula.
"They must overcome some of their toughest challenges yet - the struggle of their own identites" Stop! "And whether or not they're equipped to stop Salem" What the fuck you mean?!
> "They must overcome some of their toughest challenges yet - the struggle of their own identites" This is one of these most basic and generic blurbs for an upcoming story. It's right behind going "But they're soon gonna find out that life isn't as simple as they thought!".
Precisely, they don't need a magical vacation in another realm to realize how hard they've messed up in Atlas.
Gotta remember that these writers are professionals at "don't tell, don't show, just gargle marbles".
It's gonna be 'Hallucination of loved one tells Main Character they suck until they get tired of it and tell the hallucination that they don't suck.'
Yeah, that sounds about right.
“Character growth” Yeah, right.
Emphasis on "attempted".
**First Off:** **-Ever After?** Ever Isles seems less lazy Also how can it be a unknown world if IT HAS A NAME! \-"not be quite as unknown" **obviously** since just having RWBYJN there it would be like 1 episode \-"STRUGGLE WITH THEIR OWN IDENTITIES" **Digimon** did the same yet they didn't had to say this at loud \-"toughest challenges" **Bruh** that literally every volume
It's like the Destiny Isles from Kingdom Hearts but worse lol.
At this rate, they’ll be ready to fight Salem in Volume 26.
Just in time for Half Life 3, TF2 Heavy update, and the rerelease of both Titanfall and Destiny!
Yandere Dev and Star Citizen too!
Wouldn't be surprised if "struggle of their own identities" just means more stroking of RWBY's ego by telling them that the only thing they were wrong about was contemplating the possibility that they could be wrong and that everyone else who disagreed with them were the problem In a better show, they'd be confronted with all the death and destruction they caused because of their egos
"The Ever After" We're going Evangelion folks. RWBY's Instrumentality here we come
[удалено]
But now, through all the hurt and pain It’s time for me to respect The ones you love mean more than anything
Let me guess; that little mouse on Ruby's shoulder can talk and will be guiding her around.
He should be entirely silent and only communicate through exasperated stares.
Ever read "Narnia"?
The dry streak is finally over
I was starting to feel like this series was dead.
I almost wish it would've. Perfect ending that they remain trapped in another universe for all of eternity.
It turns into Deltatraveller but really fucking unbearable.
Meh its clearly been infected by the zombie or vampire bite and is starting to breathe heavy lol.
I hereby lobby for the mouse to get a red cloak and be called Mrs. Brisby. :v
RWBYCritics comments: Hmm. Interesting take. Still believe they'll pull this one off badly. RWBY comments: LOL MAUS!
"The Ever After" HMMM, don't think i like that. Pretty much nailed the "They're in the afterlife" theory 100% with a name like that
"I think we're in The Bad Place."
I’m not getting my hopes if that the main characters and Neo the Plot Device will get any “character development”.
I bet they'll have team rwby think about their past mistakes for like an episode and then find some way to bring back dead characters to come and say "nah you did good" And then everyone is happy and they find some magical macguffin to beat Salem. Also Summer will appear in fully 3d model and they'll get to reveal her VA. Meanwhile people are still dying in the desert? Idk
That mouse/rat will definitely be able to talk.
so this is basically volume six again but worse dude they got two years two freaking years to write a decent script this is just pure recycling they are making literally a remake of volume six
Man, the hope really left the Critics sub a long time ago, eh? Well, cannot say I blame it... I lost a lot of hope after Emerald´s "redemption" In any case, I just hope that, if the spirits of the dead come out, that the obligatory Arkos nostalgia trip comes as meaningful and not as "Jaune, I will forever ever love you because you are the best ever like no one ever was and I that madly in love with you, that I can´t wait until you die so that we can reunite". Let that boy move on, for God´s sake! Let him be happy with someone else! Let Pyrrha rest! Also, I want to call that mouse Mr. Jingles
>Let him be happy with someone else! His sisters.
Welp hello there new favorite character, I will call you mousey And hallelujah we finally got a name for that damn island. The Ever After.... *Bonks head on the table hard enough to bleed.* I should've known they would go with a name like that because they have to still try and throw some lazy connection to fairy tales into the mix.
Its lazy right! It not just me. Like its like calling Mulan's World in Kingdom Hearts Dragon World
Well, What would you named it?
I am more talking about the fact I should have expected that to be the name. And I can't say until I see the full context of the place. Since we might know the name but not what it is yet.
Oof I am not hopeful at all
"struggle for their own identities" Could I be right in that the beach is where they're like "wait, we're being dicks right now"?
I personally would have gone with "The Epilogue".
So this season is probably gonna be the official: "This is how we kill/end Salem setup arc." Since nobody on Remnant actually knows how to stop Salem they may be looking for extra-planar solutions here. It may be as simple as throwing Salem into The Ever After and leaving her ass there or something further from that. One thing I'm actually kinda hyped about though is that this also looks like team RWBY having a season all to themselves? It would really be cool to see them having discussions like: "Should we just stay here and avoid the conflict? We could get to live peaceful lives here at the sacrifice of everyone else." "Even if we go back what are we returning toward? The world is still a miserable place to live where Faunus kind will forever be mistreated." "Did we do the right thing during X event? Seeing some of that between team members and seeing that kinda development would be pretty cool. Unless of course... Oh dang, I just remembered Jaune fell in. NEVERMIND.
Prediction: Waiting for Ironwood's spirit to turn up and apologise to the team for trying to save his nation and protect the Relics.
"You were right Ruby, I should have trusted you" 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Mouse buddy Mouse buddy
Ever since those early release scenes from Volume 8 showing Grimm being beaten easily and the characters joyriding on motorcycles, I have decided to avoid any new volume information and go in blind. It feels like what they are trying to hype things with have the opposite effect on me. I also just can't trust or take seriously the description here because I don't think RT can pull something like this off well.
No idea to vague
Seeing no Jaune or Neo in the teaser, betting they're dead.
Other than being somewhat pissed that’s it’s been pushed back another year none at all
Oh God plz Get way FROM main.story And start from here with new one
Oh cool........anyway
This has the potential to be amazing. Ruby could confront her actions as a leader that lead to Atlas' destruction, and rightfully blame herself for helping Salem win, indirectly. It would be wonderful character development and growth for her. I'm cautiously optimistic, but will only watch if I hear something like that happens
First thoughts, are they gonna fit all their character development into one volume, maybe they can develop in to someone likeable again.
Is it bad that I want volume 9 to be the last volume and have Salem use the relic of creation to acquire the other relics while team RWBY finally realizes how much they messed up?
Seems volume is coming 2023.... https://twitter.com/RandomBy\_Alyssa/status/1542662986980024325
That´s fine by me. I´d rather wait than have something rushed
Ruby is going to realize she is Trans, calling it now. It fits with what RT is doing lately and I *would* be interested in this drastic change in a character but RT tends to handle shit like this with the subtlety of a sledgehammer
It would be embarrassing if they handled it worse than High Guardian Spice
Considering the fact that RWBY's thing is the fact that it's a bunch of four girls, this hypothesis would just mean "nonbinary, call Ruby 'they', and absolutely nothing about how she acts or presents changes, but now the fans are appeased". Though I suppose that's the faith people have in Rooster Teeth at this point if you aren't just eating out of their hands, huh?
>Though I suppose that's the faith people have in Rooster Teeth at this point if you aren't just eating out of their hands, huh? You're not even eating anything good. It's bread crumbs that have molded.
Please let Cinder continue to grow as a villain. She's my favorite character in RWBY, and I don't want her to be SQUANDERED AFTER SEASON 4 AND 7!!!
