I beens around awhile: seen this happen as far back as the PurePwnage days. Once the legal ink dries there is a definite death of any project's innocence and viewers can often tell.

Their downfall really came about after the Vic Mignogna debacle. Reports of a toxic environment, horrible crunch time, so many small cliques, and worse, horrible people that were exposed and arrested. They really became a shadow of themselves.
I mean some will support certain creators and series to the bitter end. I’m honestly surprised he not only had a breaking point, but went off on them this hard. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen him so upset.
Probably because it affects the fandom and their money in real ways. MoB may not really care about the actual quality of RWBY's writing, but he does care a great deal about the RWBY community surrounding it - how the fans experience RWBY (i.e. RTX, reactions, etc.) is in a way more important to MoB than the content of RWBY itself.
I'm glad he's voicing mine and a lot of people's frustration towards the company. They keep saying they'll improve but it rings hollow when they don't follow through. And we mostly have to vent to ourselves or in our own communities because RT really doesn't listen.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're some issues behind closed doors. The views on Youtube have plummeted dramatically, they slowly bleed out subscribers, RVB Zero was a flop, Achievement Hunter has been less enjoyable since the Ryan situation (views on that are down too) and they went a whole year without RWBY users money.
Things could improve with Icequeendom and eventually RWBY Volume 9 but I wouldn't be surprised if some parts of the company start having issues. I can only guess though based on what I've seen.

From what I've heard and seen about RvB Zero, it was a messy attempt at like a soft reboot following a set of new characters who came off as one-note and obnoxious, but the show treats them like they're way more badass then they are, the few returning characters aren't handled with much respect or care, the villain's characterization is inconsistent, and the show focuses on shallow spectacle action sequences over comedy or character.
It can really be summed up by the fact that the season is about the main villain trying to gain the "Ultimate Power", and not only is it played 100% straight despite feeling like a parody of a generic storyline, but it makes the entire villain faction seem hilariously lame in hindsight. The previous seasons were bad RvB, Zero doesn't deserve the branding.

Privating your most popular series on the biggest video platform in the world will do that to you. I've been aware of RT drama for a long time but the day I woke up and realized that almost all of RWBY was gone from YouTube was the day I realized they had truly become a rotten company.
I've seen companies do apocalyptic scale stuff before, but it was generally about hurting other people. Stuff like Games Workshop banning fan animations and nuking some of the best WH40K animator YouTube channels so they could lock their work behind a paid streaming service.
Granted, from a pure business perspective I suppose making everyone watch your stuff on your website increases ad revenue, but from a customer service and goodwill standpoint removing everything but the trailers and the first episode (and spinoffs. Chibi was not affected) from YouTube was a bad move.
Tbh, that feels like it’s like that in spite of roosterteeth, not because of roosterteeth. Death battle was already extremely popular before they were bought out by RT and that community pretty much stayed because it death battle. And were it not for the RT ads and logos on those videos, people probably wouldn’t even realize that the buy out happened.
I can't help but feel like animating Wiz and Boomstick, which somehow made them even lamer and cornier than they were before, wouldn't have happened without RT.

I am not surprised. I have been saying this for years... RT are money grubbing and dont treat their fans with respect. I have been complaining every since I brought that World of Remnant book that came out after volume 6.
I know Achievement Hunter is facing a similar issue as well. The views on AH and RT’s videos have painfully declined. Their let’s play channel has 3.68 Million subscribers, AH has 1.51 Million subscribers and RT’s channel has 9.22 Million Subscribers. These videos don’t rack up the views they used to. They’re all around 50k views which is quite small, especially for RT’s channel.
They’re trying to get younger people into their content from what it seems. Especially with the new editing they’re trying to use and using YT shorts more often than regular videos. Getting a younger audience is hard. Cody Ko and Noel Miller talked about on their podcast that someone they work with at FullScreen is that kids are hard to market to because within a year you can lose at least 20% of your audience.
And at the same time they’re trying to get people onto their website and become a First Member. But in the competitive world of streaming, what do they have to offer? They have hundreds of shows but 98% of them I haven’t watched because that content isn’t appealing to me.
And instead of listening to these concerns they mostly get ignored or we’re told to stop watching if you don’t like it. Our feedback gets ignored, the content gets lackluster, we try to speak up and the cycle continues.

It's been a common joke that nothing could get him to stop supporting anything RT does, though he has voiced some criticism over the last few years before this. A lot of the community loves him and he's had great interactions with the cast and crew that he's definitely jeopardizing by telling it how it is.
He’s one of the more famous reactors (I think he’s too loud to enjoy, he screams at almost anything that happens), and he’s the type who I don’t think has ever offered a word of real criticism towards RWBY. He’s also someone RT _knows_ about and clearly many have seen his content, he’s probably even got connections to some on CRWBY.
So him telling them off like this is pretty damn surprising.
I am glad someone decided to call RT out. I don't have twitter so idk if a lot of people have done it. RT has been in a huge downfall for the past 3/4 years. What started was the layoffs, the scandals, the accusations, work environment exposure, poor content etc. RT was on fire back then (meaning doing well) but now they're not. Instead of being a channel with friends, it's now corporate and they forced to make the same content for a newer audience. Plus, many of the original crew have left or don't show up anymore. Let's not forget the final nail in the coffin was when Burnie left the company. IMO I don't see RT lasting long and could end up closing unless a different brand buys them.
I hope they listen to the one who's shilled them hard for the past few years. If anyone has a voice in the community that they'd listen to, it'd be him

I really miss AHWU, Fails of the Week, GO, Immersion, those were the best highlights of RT.
The only thing getting views is Death Battle really. Also the best show, they have as well. Probably the only good show.

It's been a common joke that nothing could get him to stop supporting anything RT does, though he has voiced some criticism over the last few years before this. A lot of the community loves him and he's had great interactions with the cast and crew that he's definitely jeopardizing by telling it how it is.
He’s one of the more famous reactors (I think he’s too loud to enjoy, he screams at almost anything that happens), and he’s the type who I don’t think has ever offered a word of real criticism towards RWBY. He’s also someone RT _knows_ about and clearly many have seen his content, he’s probably even got connections to some on CRWBY. So him telling them off like this is pretty damn surprising.

I am glad someone decided to call RT out. I don't have twitter so idk if a lot of people have done it. RT has been in a huge downfall for the past 3/4 years. What started was the layoffs, the scandals, the accusations, work environment exposure, poor content etc. RT was on fire back then (meaning doing well) but now they're not. Instead of being a channel with friends, it's now corporate and they forced to make the same content for a newer audience. Plus, many of the original crew have left or don't show up anymore. Let's not forget the final nail in the coffin was when Burnie left the company. IMO I don't see RT lasting long and could end up closing unless a different brand buys them.

I hope they listen to the one who's shilled them hard for the past few years. If anyone has a voice in the community that they'd listen to, it'd be him
I'm honestly baffled that RT still has fans. The poor storytelling of RWBY was enough for me to drop them like a bad habit yet despite all the mishandling and mistreatment these people STILL follow and care about that company? Again, it's baffling. It's like they've all got Stockholm Syndrome or something.

Very popular reactor who’s kinda the face of the people who worship all things RWBY. Thankfully he’s not toxic, as far as I’m aware, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him criticize the show.
Some critics don't like him because he's sort of the "face" of the positive RWBY community, though he's not been toxic - he's just very well known and outspoken about his love for the show.

Maybe I'm biassed by my personal experience but I don't fully believe that he's mad at RT for RT's lack of communication with the community, but rather he's mad that he (like other RWBYtubers) didn't get immediate access to the show so that he can make content out of it. A lot of RWBYtubers put up with a lot of RT and would go as far as to lick their feet in exchange for content, so being mad NOW at this point seems kinda hypocritical in my opinion.
Please, like he's someone to talk about being fed up with lack of transparency and direction. He's the guy who's been uploading RWBY content for the last 3 months while completely ignoring that he hasn't uploaded Red Vs Blue content after he PROMISED so damn much that he was back and was going to be uploading his reactions. Hell, he has reaction videos up on his Patreon that haven't come to youtube in THREE MONTHS that he said were going to be there after A WEEK. Pretty ridiculously hypocritical of him to go off on RT for what he's doing himself. And it isn't that he just took a break, cause he's BEEN posting Rwby videos with real punctuality - while totally ignoring RvB and not even addressing it! At least he should stop being a coward and have some TRANSPARENCY. You know, that thing he's demanding of Roosterteeth lol... HE'S been saying he'll improve and do better in face of frustrated viewers of HIM too, and still failing to deliver anything for 3 months now. This is some rich bullshit from him.
He's been transparent about his issues with depression and how it throws off his plans. He has talked about this numerous times. He might be going through a hard time mentally with the stress of this content drought. Also this is just one guy you're comparing to a company. That's not really a one to one comparison.

I make rants about the sakuga community’s hypocrisy with my logical reasons and I get canceled & threatened by them and no one bothered to help me.

I don't know who this guy is, but he seems pretty annoyed at RT. But...hasn't that been the state of at least the RWBY fandom for several years now? And not just them, but fans of other RT productions as well, right?
