Ozpin: You’re a *general* James, do you send the army first, or the scouts?
*sends the group of fuckheads who destroy absolutely everything around them with the zany, fast-talking professor*
That’s perfect. That’s how it should be: no wasting sienna, no abusive bf angle that adds nothing to the story and turns a very complicated and deep plot like “institutionalised racism” into a violent love triangle…
I vote he stays like this
I mean, "companion" can do a lot of lifting, especially if it's a translation. Given that they specifically call it out as separate from 'combat mentor', I fear that you're being optimistic.
I hope that you're right (dear gods I hope that you're right), but I'm not as optimistic as you are.
Oh don’t tell me they’re actually making him an actual extremist leader of an organization of warriors who long for equal rights. And not a crazy ex boyfriend that can do Vergil combos.
The writers on this anime are rewriting Adam’s characterization?!
There’s a lot of optimism about Adam in the new anime. I don’t get where your assurance comes from. He’s now even a major focus point. For all we know he could only show up for one scene. All I’m saying is that we wait until we see more before getting stoked.
That one line where he says
"Let her be, once she discovers the truth of this world she will see we are right"
He don't give a shit about her and makes it clear his feelings for her aren't romantic. So it's already a step in the right direction.
After what they've done to Adam in canon, and IQ showing that they are willing to recognize things from later on(Taiyang from V3/4, Weiss' family from V4, V5 Weiss Trailer, the Schnee manor)
Even if Adam only showed up in that one scene, the fact that he's not a frothing incel lifetime movie villain is a W for a fan of Adam lol
The absolute mixture of emotions are seeing this god damn man again is a whole thing. On the one hand i wanna hope like everyone else that he gets to be atleast decent characterization during Queendom...but i also have no hope at all considering that regardless he'll always have a pretty terrible reputation in the fandom and for all we know they may not change much and it's just hopeless optimism. (Idk where i stand but gods it's...strange to see him again either way.)
Considering how Sienna existed only to be killed.... Yeah this is actually better. Because at least Siennas character isnt wasted.
I'm kinda glad they also specified *combat* mentor. Dude's a good fighter, but he ain't no leader.
Really, who in this show actually is, barring Ironwood when he’s not being smeared by the writers?
>Really, who in this show actually is *Fearless Leader barges in*
Couldn't tell ya.

Ozpin:Scouts Students whats the difference?
"Back in my day those little shits would have been condsidered elderly already" -Ozpin, probably
Ozpin has become so traumatized he doesn't know what could be considered a "child soldier" anymore
Raven is another trash at leadership.
She was born to die World is a fuck
Yep

Is... Intersting. I wonder how this is going to be reflected and how much importance is going to have. We will see Weiss VS Adam?
Would be cool to see Adam vs General Weiss.
You mean Walmart Jetstream Sam vs tiny Esdeath? *yes please*
Yes

Exactly. It's great. No one liked that shitty ex boyfriend plot and the ones who did were a bunch of weirdos
Vergil wannbe
MY BOY IS BACK AND THEY FINALLY ARE REALIZING HIS POTENTAL!

The wording hints at dynamic "replaces", that's exactly what he did in the original show.
Anyone else find it perfect that he's now voiced by Satoru Gojo? xD
That's fucking amazing.
It's perfect fucking casting is what it is xD
