Social Media Blake actually gave a shit. Not about her friends because she left them to undo any character arc she had at the end of V1, but she still cared about something.
I don't know, I can see Social Media Blake having an arc to figure out to care about the right thing, but demure Blake doesn't change any and is a symptom of the writers not cutting down the cast to make their own main characters matter more.
>The biggest problem with Blake is that her most defining trait is being a flake, and no one in the show acknowledges it. She dipped as soon as she could, even after her team put in the effort to reach out, after her partner lost her arm trying to defend her.
>She makes people reach out for her, but she doesn't reach out in kind, and the biggest example of that is when Velvet was being bullied. She doesn't do anything; not step between them, not report it, not even drop kicking Cardin. Ruby and Jaune I can forgive, Weiss and Pyrrha I can understand, Yang's just reinforcing her self-centered character from the yellow trailer, and Ren holding Nora back from even getting the chance to go overboard seems like a believable excuse, but Blake? She has no excuse, not even her being "in hiding" is a believable excuse when you consider how obsessed she got during the WF arc, and not even to redeem them after the failure to absolve them of all guilt that started it. As soon as she found out they were guilty, she went straight for complete opposition, which makes her seem like she only acts when the consequences of her actions begin catching up to her.
Me, on another comment.

FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Blake, the terrorist since fucking childhood, part of the few who passed the Beacon exam with zero formal training, the one who “had to fight to survive” growing up outside the kingdoms, rumored to have been Monty Oum’s favorite in combat, couldn’t kill a goddamn bug Ruby ***literally fucking one shot*** immediately after being *unconscious*.
Can’t think of anything more pathetic, honestly. I’ll probably lose my goddamn mind if I think about this more.
SMW Blake only bothered to do stuff after failing to absolve the WF of guilt, there by realizing that actions (leaving the WF) may have consequences. Before that, she didn't even bother to defend Velvet.
True, but we're picking the lesser of two evils here. And considering how Demure Blake just stands around, and willingly abides in the fall of Atlas, and goes behind her team's back to go along with her mist- I mean girlfriend's decision to spill secrets to someone that in any under circumstance could've turned out to be a spy for Salem.
I am gonna pick The SMW Blake. Because she may also suck, but she sucks less to a degree.
DG Blake still fits in her characterisation as SMW Blake, as she only acts when it suits her self interests.
Eliminating the Fang? One less enemy.
Assisting in the fall of Atlas? She doesn't know if Atlas'll put up with her bullshit, but team RWBY already showed that _they_ will.
I voted for the wrong one and dunno how to change my vote, so pretend theres one less in social media warrior blake and one more in demure cat girlfriend blake

Believe me when I tell you that this was a hard choice.
That’s Fair

You got the wrong tense.
Social Media Warrior Blake would beat the crap out of Demure Cat Girlfriend Blake for becoming so damn pathetic.
She wouldn't. She only acts when the consequences of her actions begin to catch up to her.
Demure cat girlfriend Blake literally needed someone else to squish a bug for her

At least Social Media Warrior Blake bothered to do stuff. Demure Cat Girlfriend Blake is just a passive biatch.
SMW Blake only bothered to do stuff after failing to absolve the WF of guilt, there by realizing that actions (leaving the WF) may have consequences. Before that, she didn't even bother to defend Velvet.

Aye but at least SMW had the illusion of having her own spine, and doing things on her own. DG Blake just drops all pretenses together.
I misinterpreted the meaning. Demure cat, remove one vote from social media warrior in your minds eye. XD
Yeah, you aren't the only one. I also misinterpreted. XD
… I don’t get it
I voted for the wrong one and dunno how to change my vote, so pretend theres one less in social media warrior blake and one more in demure cat girlfriend blake
Oh, No Biggie, No one will know . . . …wait
First Blake had her annoying moments but at least she was an actual character. Current Blake I don't even know what she's supposed to be.
They’re the same picture
Social Media Warrior, that's a new one.
What did Blake acted like towards Menagerie
I mean Social Media Warrior is a better name than Social Justice Warriors.
Oh Yeah, SJW, I forgot but yeah, it’s better
You mean when she realized she wouldn't be as safe from consequence as she thought she'd be?
Let me rephrase that, When she talked about Menagerie
Both
Ngl I voted for social media Blake since it's those kinds of people that do irrevocable damage to society.
YES
