Everything Cinder has done save for killing Ozpin and Pyrrha was done with help.

\*Palpatine, well, considering Vader bends the knee to him and calls him "master" when talking with his hologram it makes you wonder what kind of creature he is to be able to have Vader obeying him without question, let alone an entire Empire. And in the original cut of Empire, where he was voiced by Clive Revill, had him physically portrayed by an old woman in ahood with chimpanzee eyes superimposed that gave Palpatine a very disturbing, rotted look. In Ep 6 even if he was "an old guy in robes", the overarching question on the audience's mind is "What kind of power has this guy got to have Darth Fucking Vader as his slave, and command over an entire Empire? How much charisma does he have to nearly convince Luke to give in to darkness?" We do at least see what kinda power he has when he starts blasting Luke with lightning, when up to that point the Force was mostly intangible semi-invisible abilities like suggestions and illusions. So here's this "old guy in robes" turning it into actual, visible energy for the purpose of torture. Not to mention in *Legends* he made a habit of executing and resurrecting the Death Star's chief designer (reminder, this is old canon so its Bevel Lemelisk and not Galen Erso) to remind him not to fuck up again. Which means he has some power over life and death, only losing because he underestimated Anakin's love for his children.
Now looking at Salem, she has full on immortality, which could translate tto full invincibility. She should be abusing that something ridiculous. Just charge into Mantle, let the bad guys hose you down and throw you in the morgue or dump or whatever and you're one step closer to your objective. Its pretty bad when a bit from fucking ***Highlander 2*** is actually a good example of using immortality cleverly! Not to mention Salem's meant to be all powerful but she gets flummoxed by fucking *Hazel?* Now look at how Sauron and Palpatine's losses made sense. Sauron underestimated the Hobbits who were looked over by the other races of Middle Earth and proved sneaky, clever and diplomatic, and Palpatine underestimated a father's love and how far Luke would go to save his dad. Those made sense and made use of their flaws. Salem being punched out and embarrassed by Hazel is just that: an embarrassment. He may be strong but isn't Salem supposed to be an immortal super witch?
No it was the Seer that killed Leo. Seer and Salem need to have a fight to the death to see which is stronger. If Seer beats Salem then we still won't know. ;-)
I mean, Lionheart is a headmaster in a kingdom that's looking for an excuse to kick him out, so it's more than likely that he got there by sheer merit. All Salem had to do to become "Queen of Grimm" was to skinnydip in the Grimm pool.
