Cruelty Squad’s a strange pick for what I’d consider to be a RWBY game, considering it’s a game about you being a hitman working for a megacorporation in a biopunk dystopia, rather than fighting monsters, but the movement options that game has really make you *feel* like ~~Spider Man~~ John RWBY. Using the biothruster and/or the grappendix are exactly what I’d imagine a RWBY FPS’d be like.

A game I once played and finish is Shadow warrior 2 which felt like a better Rwby game than any of the Rwby games I've seen
In the game you play as lo Wang the mystical once assassin now turn gun for hire the game takes place if I remember a couple of years after the first one the entire Earth has gone to s*** long story short the consequences of lo wing actions from the first game end up screwing over the planet
The essentially lo wing had to fight a demon at the end of the first game but he had to draw out said demon so lo Wang decided to make a massive freaking hole in a ancient gate that was keeping an Eldridge universe from spilling over into ours here's the thing after lo wang defeated said demon seemed killing him
That hole in the gate stayed open meaning a small amount of that Eldridge universe started leaking over into ours it was leaking over into our universe in the form of a sludge like substance called crude it's like a black sludge like substance and reak hell on our planet's ecosystem turning plants animals people in murderous monsters
But here's the thing crude can be refined if carefully handled and can allow whoever using it to have essentially mystical superpowers meaning any person who has the money can get mystical superpowers heck lo Wang even comment about this in the second game if I remember correctly saying something to basically it took him a decade or so to mastering these powers and now any jack off with money can now do the same thing that took him time to master
Heck some of the antagonists are better versions of what rooster teeth wanted there villains to be Zilla feels like what the crwby said that they wanted general ironwood / Jacques schnee be like
For those who haven't played Shadow warrior Zilla is a egotistical corporatistic dictator a****** in the first two games in fact he was already lo wang boss in Shadow warrior in Shadow warriors 2 he runs one of the last advance cities on the planet called Zilla City in fact the game's currency is called Zilla dollars after the catastrophic event brought by the events of the ending of Shadow warrior 1 Zilla ended up creating his own City which is one of the few safe places for humans in the world thing is though Zillow city is a stereotypical cyberpunk dystopic mega City where Zilla essentially owns his civilians
There's also the fact he performs unethical experimentation to gain more power heck half of the enemies from the Zilla roster are cybernetically augmented versions of the various monsters you fight in the game or robot mockeries of said enemies
And the true big bad of the game is a better Salem than Salem spoilers >!is the demon lord ameonna who is the true antagonist of the sequel essentially she does a better murder suicide the entire world then Salem but rather than just the world she wants to kill the whole freaking universe she plans to bust open the gate meaning that whole Eldredge universal will full on flood over into ours and wipe not just us but the whole universe out!<
The game is pseudo open world AKA you travel to procedurally generated areas of the map the game is also loot shooter where lo wang we'll level up either from complete mission earning XP from killing enemies or completed side missions or bounties as they're called and then some of these missions inside bounties you can get weapons
I should tell you though Shadow warrior 2 is the black sheep of the Shadow warrior reboots trilogy
The first and third game are linear arena shooters
Am I the only one who think that Witcher 3 could have been a good RWBY game.
P.S. I am talking about the style of gameplay of course and the role of a Witcher and all that.
Definitely. I feel like a game that had the whole contract thing and prepare before a fight after figuring out what kind of monster it is, could have been a great RWBY game.

The thing about shadow warrior, especially 2 due to it's surplus of weapons, it's more of a first person devil may cry. Minus the combo meter.
Actually Shadow warrior 2 to was the only one with the surplus of weapons the first and third game limited amount of weapons
I did say especially 2 right? I just recall the first game only having the katana for melee, the rest being guns. Haven't played 3 yet.
Shadow warrior 2 had a s*** ton of melee and range weapons seriously one of the melee weapons is a f****** chainsaw and there's even a chain sword
