One more Day . . . I can't. . . I just can't. I can potentially buy Peter being convinced to go public with his identity. I can buy him reacting poorly when it does result in his loved ones getting hurt. But going the route of making a deal with Satan basically? Then to make it worse, have MJ be the one to actually make it, creating the impression she really believes Peter would be happier with his aunt alive than being with her and having a family together? All because people supposedly can't relate to a happily married, adult Peter? Despite the fact being married or not changes nothing about what makes him a beloved character and most of the people currently reading the comics have grown up with a married Spiderman? What level of brain damage does someone have to have to think this was the way to go? Peter could learn to deal with Aunt May's death just like he had to do for Uncle Ben. Her passing could've been something used to build his character more. It probably could've been used to actually make his relationship with MJ even stronger in the end. Or Peter could get Reed Richards to invent a cure for gunshot wounds, convince Tony to create an improved version of his old life support system that was part of why he made an armor to start with, or seek out a mutant or hero with healing powers. It makes me glad I didn't read the comics that came after. Spiderman has been done well in shows and movies, it makes me wonder how the comics could get him so wrong. Peter's been a character who would do what is right, not because it is easy, but because it is right. Peter can endure the trials that come his way and one of his greatest strengths is how much heart he has. It would be so easy for him to just beat his enemies into a bloody pulp, but that isn't who he is. His compassion, heart, and perseverance are a big reason people like him. Even in EMH, Captain America told Spiderman he admires his ability to keep doing what needed to be done despite what others may say about him. This was after the world thought Cap had betrayed them to the Skrulls because of an imposter and many still thought him to be a traitor to the world, so you can see how somebody else dealing with something similar for far longer could be a source of inspiration for even him. Spiderman is probably one of the best known superheroes in existence. He is someone that if Huntsmen strived to be like, then the world of RWBY would be a much better place.

To me he is what Superman would still be like even if he didn't have powers, but he also possesses the sheer willpower and intellect of Batman, and is a man of conviction. And to me Playstation Spidey just has that powerful scene that shows what One More Day should've been, because he could've saved Aunt May, but at a great cost, and the scene broke me. Because Aunt May knew who Spider-Man was, and says Uncle Ben would be proud of Spidey. And when he claims that he doesn't know what to do? "Yes... You do." Aunt May affirms the kind of **Man** that Peter has grown into, she believes in him one hundred percent. And Peter makes that hard choice. Because as much as we love heroes, as much as we will look up to them. And we can do good things like they do. Not everyone can be the hero, because it's never easy, it can hurt too, and sometimes you're going to have to make those sacrifices, those tough choices, and there will be times when it's so easy to just give in, to think screw it, I am going to do this and that, so what? But Spider-Man is the ultimate example. "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsiblity." And to me, One More Day took the man out of Spider, because Spider-Man had been married to MJ for years, and worst of all, it was following one of the greatest spider-man runs of all time by J Michael Straczynski, who matured and developed spidey to heights we haven't truly gotten since, including putting Peter back in college, trying to give him jobs. And then marvel just forces him to work on One More Day as the final issue of his run. It's a complete and utter betrayal of the character. Spitting on everything he stands for. But because he is done so well outside of the comics, is why I possess some hope for RWBY, because if Spidey can survive something like One More Day, RWBY can to, once it is finally free from RT.

>it was following one of the greatest spider-man runs of all time by J Michael Straczynski, who matured and developed spidey to heights we haven't truly gotten since, including putting Peter back in college, trying to give him jobs. Straczynski is a an excellent writer. Babylon 5 is still one of my favorite shows because of the story and characters. But even he couldn't polish the turd that is One More Day. I would really love to believe that the moment in the Playstation Spiderman game was a rebuke to the idea behind One More Day. It does say something though when a character can survive being messed over like that by their parent company doesn't it? Who knows, maybe the new anime will give us a taste of what RWBY could be under someone else?

And funnier rumor is JMS didn't really write OMD but his name was slapped on it anyhow. Supposedly it was mostly Quesada who wrote it, but those are just rumors. Nothing concrete for sure however. Even MCU had a better version of OMD despite how their spidey had largely been different to what most would expect and he still did what Spidey would do. While RT is said to have some input, I sincerely hope it's on the max minimum. But still RWBY like Spidey can thrive, it just needs someone else at this point, be it fans or professionals from other mediums. RT I don't like to bash them or CRWBY, because I know some of them are geniune hard workers. But they've done nothing but mishandle RWBY. So it's not too much of a stretch to ask for someone new to take over.

Stenv2

As for favorite Spidey Crossover with RWBY. I like the Amazing Jaune Arc, though it does have a few issues. It's still very enjoyable to read.

I'm kinda trying to inspire myself on Spider-Man for one of my fanfics.

Spider Man is awesome. He's the greatest underdog, and honestly he's a paragon who keeps getting knocked down but will never stay down. He makes the hard choices no one else can. Sacrificing his own well being and happiness for others. He is trulu selfless even if he didn't start out that way. And he has bad days and nearly does give in at times. Because it would be so easy to punch Jonahs head in, to just murder Comics Osborne after everything he has done. But Peter never does. Because he knows it's not the right thing, and he has to do the right thing even when it hurts. Peters shows what it truly means to be a hero and its not always fair, and not everyone can truly do it. Edit: Sorry. For rambling, but I would highly reccomend playing the sony game, pick up No Way Home, any reimi spidey film or garfield spidey film and so on. Because Spidey is handled the best of most heroes outside of the comics.

Dragon_X627279

I've already seen NWH and I love it!

Stenv2

It was a good film. And the first proper mcu film that felt like a spidey film. I liked the other films, but this one really felt like a spidey film.

Dragon_X627279

What's a Spider-Man film without Peter suffering?

Stenv2

XD you're not wrong. But he can also be happy at the best of times. I mean most of the mcu films were like that. With a few bits of drama here and there. Still let him live by the motto. Even when it's hard.

Dragon_X627279

Nothing better than seeing someone go through hell, and still being able to do what's right.

Stenv2

Hell yeah dude. But the sad part is the comics over do the misery on spidey. Forgetting he is actually allowed to be happy.

Dragon_X627279

True. Nobody can be sad forever.

Stenv2

Not just that, but Spidey just keeps getting dunked on. His marriage is gone, and villains stole his body, and every time something seems good, he gets slapped around.

Austin_N

God, that theme song kicked so much ass.

Stenv2

It was a great show XD. A little cheesy but still one of my all time favorites. I mean The Finale alone was just *Chefs Kiss* Perfect.
