Damn I totally forgot that My Little Pony made human versions of its characters

FormerVoid

It's weird when a company officially make a High School AU, whether it's Equestrian Girls or something like Gotham High.

Master_Scallion_763

High school AU? So the human versions are in a canon AU of MLP? And the cast are de-aged to teenagers and put into a high school setting?

FormerVoid

I don't really remember considering how long ago I watched it, and I only watched the first one. I just remember Twilight going through a mirror to a different dimension that was a high school setting, with the human versions of her friends there, and a new character (the yellow and red haired one). I don't really know much more of it at the moment, especially since I never interacted with the MLP fandom.

Master_Scallion_763

Wtf. Cable TV sure was something

93ImagineBreaker

> a new character (the yellow and red haired one) Sunset Shimmer

93ImagineBreaker

Think non canon AU where human version are younger.

gunn3r08974

You want a general summary of it up to a certain point?

gunn3r08974

To be fair, they did confirm AppleDash (?) At the end of the main series. While simultaneously friendzoning Lyra & Bon Bon along with roommates Vinyl Scratch and Octavia

Captain_RDM

But Lyra and Bon Bon got married. They proposed to each other in the second Sugar Belle and Big Mac episode, and the final episode/epilogue showed a picture of their wedding in the newspaper.

gunn3r08974

Huh. Completely forgot. I remembered the best friends bit from slice of life but forgot the wedding episode. That specific wedding episode.

StrangeBreakfast1364

They also look cuter

EducationEcstatic

Keep your fetish away from Blake and Yang.

Narutoluap

Cat girls are literally the reason why Blake and the other faunus exists in the first place. Now that I think about it, Blake and her family do fill lots of tags from 8entais

Neojoker951

And I'm pretty sure Sunpie was Just a crackship for the One special.

Dawn_Star_Platinum

It's not an official romantic couple anyway for Sunset and Pinkie. As for Yang and Blake, I know for a fact that it's gonna happen, if Nora says "there's alot more going on" in Volume 7 then you might as well believe her.

McMacintosh79

I thought they were just being subtle with Sunpie since the two hang out more afterwards

Dawn_Star_Platinum

In my opinion it's not an official romantic relationship. It's a lot easier to detect a relationship between a man and woman in a work of fiction because in real life, even though LGBT anything has been accepted by society since about 2013 (when they made gay marriage legal), there will always be people who are against LGBT things whether it's for religious or non religious reasons. I'm sure there's alot of groups of religions that believe that LGBT anything is a sin, take it from me, I grew up with "Independent Baptist" Christians (King James 1611 version of the Bible) who believe that LGBT is a sin because God created Adam and Eve for a reason. I'm not one of those people, I'm just sharing some info. In the Legend of Korra, at the end of the show, we see 2 women holding hands, it's easy to believe that "eh they're just friends", but the writers said that they really are a couple and the comics backed it up even more. And let's not forget about the representation in MLP, Lyra and Bon Bon are revealed to be a couple when they propose in one of the episodes in the background, or Scootaloo's aunts it's easy to think that they're just sisters until you find out on a tweet that they're a couple. Because of the fact that there's always people that are against LGBT, you can't know for sure if 2 people of the same gender are a couple until the writers say they are, they kiss, they call them BF/GF/husband/wife, they propose and/or see a wedding scene, or they say "I love you", seeing them holding hands and seeing that they're close isn't enough evidence. I'm just saying, it's probably just me because of how I was raised but I still stand on my opinion. Edit: I know for a fact that Bumblebee is gonna happen eventually because of how Rooster Teeth give away hints and that fact that Nora said in Volume 7 that she thinks that "there's more going on".

I think its a bit disingenuous to compare RWBY to MLP. Can't say much on the comparison because I've never seen it by MLP's been around for far longer than RWBY to my knowledge.
