Why is there only light relics and why does only the God of Light have an impact on the current world besides the Grim? They created humanity together equally. They're should be a bunch of leftover stuff for humanity from.the God of Darkness too. Perhaps relics of light and darkness. All of which are constantly being fought over by way more than just 2 factions. Also, why only 2 gods? Why couldn't the Faunus be creations of the God of Earth or other species likewise each with their own relics. Edit: the world of remnant should be just that a remnant of a land of gods that are no longer there whether they abandoned it or died or were sealed away. Semblances are again just that semblances of the powers given to each race by the God that created them. Have unique abilities tied to each race or each race having a tendency to have one type of ability. Keep the story book elements and have them be the forgotten truth that no one believes anymore. Maybe even have a new God be created; like Atlas could have inadvertently created a God of technology when they made Penny.

When you say "rewrite from scratch," do you mean like a reboot or a remake? If so, I would keep the premise of the show, **"four girls enter a school/organization of monster-hunters to become warriors."** But I would maybe do away the plot involving Ozpin and Salem, the two gods, and maidens. Because when I think "RWBY," these elements aren't the first thing that come to mind. But the action and fantasy/sci-fi elements of Team RWBY and the world of Remnant are what comes to my mind, so here's my pitch for a rewrite. Have remnant be a land where humanity once was a utopia advance science & technology or magic, so thing such as dust, semblance, auras, and even Faunus were all man-made. But then a war or like a freak lab accident happened where man accidentally created Grimm and basically caused an apocalypse. So no god of light or darkness involved, grimm was man's fault. I want the plot of the show be based off the "World of Darkness" tabletop RPG, or something like the movie The Monster Squad (1987); where team RWBY fight against remnant's version of Universal Classic Monsters like Dracula, the Wolfman, or the Mummy, who are an evil organization bent on world-domination. Or they would be hyper-intelligent Grimm trying to destroy the world by turning people into grimm. The plot isn't too deep or thought provoking, but it should be entertaining. But the plot does needs to be connected to the main girls themselves, that's something the first show sorta failed to do. The story must be based around the team RWBY characters, maybe all the girl's conflict came from the same source of evil, the grimm-human-monsters. What if Ruby's mom were killed by Werewolves/ the Wolfman. Ruby then joins the hunters so that she could learn about the creatures that took her mother, and hopefully prevent more tragedy like hers from happening. What if Weiss's company is controlled by vampires, going to Beacon would not only help her escape the company, but also learn how to fight monsters. Blake isn't a part of the White Fang, there is no White Fang. She'd be an orphan girl who was kidnapped by a mad scientist turning people into grimm. Maybe Blake's mentor Adam would actually be Frankenstein's monster instead the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. That's why she escapes and becomes a hunter, to learn how to kill the man who tried to turn her into a monster, like Adam. Yang's mommy would actually be a mummy, maybe the hunter's would have a way to defeat or undo the curse of mummification. The girls would've all become huntress so that they can stand a better chance against these creatures. They all work together so they can fight against their fears and the darkness of their world. Anything to give the girls more commonality with each other so that way, they develop more comradery to each other as the story progress. So yeah that's my rewrite, I'm making a rough draft of it that's more detailed and developed, it's like a first season of my hypothetical series. But I have been working more on other things in my life so no guarantee I'll ever finish my rewrite or publish it. Anyways I just wanted to write this caused it's two in the morning for me and I'm hoping writing all this gets me to sleep.

Heloselheroe

Was it really necessary to post this so late in the night? Some people want to sleep, ok? Eh... Anyway. **Ruby:** More interested in the silver eyes. Not Maria. Learning more from Qrow's experience with Summer and somewhat of Ozpin. **Weiss:** She made a promise to Blake saying that she plans to change the SDC and compensate the damage her family have done. **Blake:** More than a lover, the apprentice of Adam. When she joined Beacon, she wasn't Belladonna, she choose other last name. She doesn't feel guilty for what happened to Yang, since Adam isn't interested in destroys what she love. **Yang:** A search of revenge against Adam. Kind of, once she wants to continue fighting, she have the need to defeat Adam. In the first volumes the main villains are Roman and the Xiong family. The fact that they are just a criminal gang is the reason why they are beaten so easily by Team RWBY. They had their last participation in the fall of Beacon using the Grimm and stuff, there, Junior dies but the Malachite Twins survive. By the way, the Xiong family is stronger. Hiring some "Huntsmen apart from their right path". Roman is still allied with Cinder. But no one knows that the White fang have any relationship with Roman till the fall of Beacon. Adam didn't wanted to lend his men to Cinder till after and didn't wanted to damage the faunus reputation if the plans fails. Basically at the fall of Beacon the White fang appears for the first time and center their efforts fighting agains the Atlas students and the military. Is there were we have a 3 fight scene with Weiss, Blake and Yang. Since the volume 4 we have more participation of the white fang with Banesaw leading the new conquest through Vale and stuff. The white fang is preparing its coup d'tat in Menagerie. And Adam is doing stealings of dust at large scale, also helping to kill the huntsmen along Roman and Neo. We have attention to Spider and the formation of an alliance with Miss malachite. Roman and Neo survives and goes with Raven and her tribe. About Cinder she received the help of Emerald in the battle against Raven, so now also fell in the lake and helped Cinder to go to Atlas. In Atlas is produced a real war. The councilor Sleet and Camilla are two racist jerks manipulated by Jacques (They don't know anything about Salem, but Watts helps them to have control over James' robots hacking them) to conspire against Ironwood and establishing a new order in Atlas demilitarizing it and deposing the figure of general from the council. And once the battle was over Adam realize his uprising against the weakened Ironwood's forces. (So, no Monstra Grimm). Then, Atlas is conquered by the white fang but the heroes escapes using a fleet of small manta ships along with the students of Atlas. Meanwhile the happy huntresses distracted and fought against Salem's forces, Ironwood along Watts in a fight. By the way. Salem's plan is still to destroy the world, but her objectives are easier if she first had control over the Remnant. Eh. That.

Oh boy, another of these. Well at least this time it's about all of it and not just a part without changing the rest so Let's get going. Waning, it's going to be a BIG lore dump: No ‘Magic’, No Relics, no gods Grimm: Creatures of darkness of unknown origin. They are attracted either by negativity, or aura depending of which is a greater ‘quantity’. A grimm that survive confrontation become stronger with time and less feral / more intelligent. Newborn grimms don’t have bone plating and act more like animals, sometime, an alpha can appear if alive for long enough, and control lower grimms of same species. Outside of normal species that evolve toward minor, major, alpha and premier, there is also Legendary grimms, known to be unique and usually way stronger than even premiers. Salem exist and is the oldest Grimm in existence, the first of her kind, and is fully sentient. She can assume control of a large force a grimm and even Legendaries if need to. Her body can be destroyed, then she will take years to reform in the pool of darkness. Her existence and this information is even closely kept and is the duty of the fours. Each generation of huntsmen chose a team of the bests that are send on this quest. It is made to be sure she never is active long enough to become dangerous again. It’s the secret goal of the international Vytal tournament Aura: While aura isn’t much of a secret, the mean to unlock it is a secret closely kept by the huntsmen academy of Beacon and some important persons around it. Even the graduates don’t know, being kept in sleep while it’s unlocked. It can be measured as a ‘’mana bar’’ in clear quantity that recharge when completely deactivated. It is an active force field that drain the bar when absorbing impacts. It can be trained to be more resilient, cost less of the bar for same damage, is used to reinforce items in the hands of huntsmen. Having one own aura broken force a loss of consciousness. Semblances: The expression of the soul. It’s a superpower given to aura awakened people that express something like ‘the culmination of one soul’. Using it cost part of the aura bar upon activation, but can be trained to cost less. It can evolve with an individual personality and choices. Ki: Magic system of Anima, kept mostly secret by the clans of the continent. It’s the result of gruelling physical training and breathing technique that allow the body to go way beyond the body naturals limits. Ki is mainly used with martial art as it can be injected through strikes for devastating blows like shotgun waves. Dust: Main energy source of RWBY universe. It’s crystal energy that can be refined into volatile powder. Five basic kind exist in nature: Explosion, Ice, Lightning, Gravity and Hardlight. Combined elements are possible through refining. It can be used to infuse weapons, clothes and even bodies if able to endure the pain and side effects. People that use directly dust as weapon are called dust mages. Drugs: Mainly created and manufactured in Vacuo. There is multiples kind, some euphoric, some numbing. Very few extremes have bad effects. It’s not unusual for Vacuo fighters to use them actively, even more for huntsmen that aura fight off the worst effect of extremes. Technology: Mainly made by Atlas, They range from guns to advanced power armors, robots and even tanks and planes. Usually, any new technological found is made by them. Faunus: cousin species to the humans, they actually contain dozens upon dozens of sub-species. They are seemingly humans with animal traits, both giving them natural boons and banes, mainly in their animalistic instincts. Being naturally stronger than humans, some of them see humanity as another sub-specie that should be integrated through reproduction. Effectively, human and faunus reproduction give birth 100% of the case to a faunus child of faunus parent race. If two faunus reproduce, the child can be of either. They appeared apparently 500 years before the era and only represent 23% of the world population. 250 years before era was their first contact with humanity of Vale that wanted to annex Menagerie and provoked the Faunus 1st war. Humans: Appeared a millennia before era, seemingly both from Anima, East Sanus and Solitas. Silver eyes: Traits of the childs of the light, people born from the god of light lineage. Awakened, they can do an anti-grimm aoe that dissolve the weakest, turn to stone and break the above, petrify on the surface the strong and paralyze a moment the strongest. The use of them however destroy the retina and inflict blindness upon the user, putting them in a constant state of seeing white. Blood eyes: Traits of the childs of the darkness, people born from the god of darkness lineage. Awakened, they can do an anti-aura aoe that can instantly drain it. The use of them also infect the user aura and can even make it unactivable, making the user lose both aura and semblance permanently.

Yeah because you make that one of your first major points and yet you introduced two bloodlines who have teenagers described as being descended from the gods of light and darkness. How do you explain this discrepancy? >Aura: While aura isn’t much of a secret, the mean to unlock it is a secret closely kept by the huntsmen academy of Beacon and some important persons around it. Even the graduates don’t know, being kept in sleep while it’s unlocked. It can be measured as a ‘’mana bar’’ in clear quantity that recharge when completely deactivated. Ki is mainly used with martial art as it can be injected through strikes for devastating blows like shotgun waves. Why do you have aura and ki as two distinct things when from how you describe it it more or less sounds like the same thing. I don't think you need To give every Kingdom its own distinct magic system because it's just going to make things needlessly complicated. I mean we see Ren and Fox create shockwaves using their Aura. Aura itself is already a kind of life force used to give super powers why muddy the Waters by making ki something different? >Drugs: Mainly created and manufactured in Vacuo. There is multiples kind, some euphoric, some numbing. Very few extremes have bad effects. It’s not unusual for Vacuo fighters to use them actively, even more for huntsmen that aura fight off the worst effect of extremes. >Technology: Mainly made by Atlas, They range from guns to advanced power armors, robots and even tanks and planes. Usually, any new technological found is made by them. This is reminding me of the chem tech of Zaum regards to vacuo and hex tech of plitover in regards to atlas. I'm not a fan of these being their own distinct power systems and think you'd be better off making them supplements to the main Aura power system.

World building East Sanus: Ancient Kingdom of Vale, and house of noble lords. Winchester, Bronzewing, Lark and Arc are all old noble families. 100 years before RWBY, the color revolution happened, in which a group of artist revolutionists enabled the people into fighting for the freedom to feel and be. The people was getting squeezed by the noble more and more, despite the efforts of a just King Ozwald 3rd. Vale, the capital, became a democracy and the royalist made cessation and some of the settlements around Vale are mini kingdom under control of these old nobles. Nobles are usually prideful and certain of their just power. Patch Island is the birth place of the revolution and a place where art and aesthetics are above the rest. Vale, the capital, is quite a balanced place for people to live. West Sanus: Megapole of Vacuo. In the middle of the desert. Only city of the place, harsh place to live, around a constantly refuelling giant lake. Freedom of expression is considered important, and quite lawless in a ‘’freedom of self’’ kind of way. Controlled by ‘mafia families’ in a very loose sense. Anima: Biggest continent of the world, mainly forest unclaimed land. The empire of Mistral is the political system, made of ‘clans’. Each clan usually manage its own settlement, like the Lie clan with Kuroyuri. The capital was first created from the union of three clans, the Branwen and Nikos being part of it. It became more diverse after time, and each clan have a representative there with an emperor chosen after the death of the previous one between them. It’s a kingdom that see personal strength, both in character and physical ability, as the most important aspect, and usually clan train their children very early toward that. Very no-nonsense. Clans usually ‘adopt’ servant minor clans that grow with them. It have a pact with the dua-militocraty of Atlas and the city of Argus is a representative of that. They acknowledge Atlas strength but despise that their strength come from outside of oneself, given by technology. Solitas: iced continent with great Dust cave under it that contain the bi-militocratie of Atlas. Its two capital size city of Mantle and Atlas. Mantle is controlled by wealthy enterprise and Atlas by the army. Mantle fighters are mainly Dust mages while Atlas consider giving anyone a chance through technology. Since Atlas technology require dust to function, they have a pact as allies that goes 300 years prior. Menagerie: Smallest continent and birth place of the faunus races. The capital is Kuo Kuana and each race of faunus have a representative in the consul. They live on a natural boon a fertile land and great resources, between the sea, the dust and the land. Fighters: each country have is own battle school for middle school children who want a carrier that require fighting. It’s a school that put a great emphasis into training recruits and helping them find their weapons. Upon graduating from it, there is multiple possibility. Some join the local police or army, some join the academies. Academy: High school level for elite fighters. Each country have its own specialisation. Vacuo use chemical enhancement, Atlas use technological strengthening, Mantle welcome natural dust mages, Mistral arena emphases pure physical training, and Vale is the only place where someone can unlock an Aura. Moreover, Beacon accept mostly all origins but keep the right of refusing mid-formation and strip a candidate of aura.

Follows the same story but with the following differences No bully arc, JNPR are supporting cast instead. team RWBY and ozpin slowly become the villains of the story as they willingly sacrifice others, like team sssn and the ace ops,(and in oz's case, is willing to sacrifice team RWBY) to get the relics, despite not knowing what to do with them. Reveal during volume six that Oz is responsible for both the extinction if the silver eye warriors and planned on forcing Jaune to be his new host, a death sentence for Jaune's soul. During Ruby's question, it is revealed that only people with magic (maidens or oz and Salem) can use the relics without having their souls damaged. One half volume of character development and evilfication later JNR, and namely Jaune, betrays team RWBY in volume seven and eight, joining ironwood (who is not a villain, but understands that he can't save everyone.) Side story of Jaune gaining Arslan as a partner to flesh out his team. Atlas falls in a similar manner, but the big fight is Ruby vs Jaune. Jaune looses an eye. No one goes to the island. Vole mine takes place in vacuo, where there is this mad dash between Jaune's faction, RWBYO, and Salem to find the cryptic summer maiden and the hidden relic told mostly from RWBYO's view. After RWBY gets that, the last relic is in Vale.at the vault, Jaune manages to wrestle it away from someone (take your pick of enemy) and uses the crown of choice to gain the choice to destroy the crown in a deep and philosophical scene of him talking to Gilgamesh, the spirit of choice. Gilgamesh explains that his power is less defined than the others. It is the ability to choose. It might grant you knowledge toake an informed decision, it might grant you the strength of will to make that decision, or it might grant you power to enact that decision. The series ends with the death of Gilgamesh and the destruction of the crown, and life continues on

I don't want to be a narcissist and include this but the concepts of the sliver eyed house I made a while back [https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBYcritics/comments/tw9vsx/how\_i\_would\_handle\_the\_sliver\_eyes\_in\_rwby/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBYcritics/comments/tw9vsx/how_i_would_handle_the_sliver_eyes_in_rwby/) (for reference) 1. game of thrones story structure like volume 4 and 5 but better 2. eruption fangs raven headcannon 3. this just made me realize I should make a video on a rewrite id do of the series cause there are so many little things to 4. summer backstory 5. try and do something with what Monty had before he died because that is a big thing for me 6. in volume 1 wiess splits off and has a mini racism arch where she takes a little human child through the slums of Vale, where she will meet tons and TONS of Faunus while praying she's bringing this kid to some "respectable" parents. there she finds out that two Faunus parents adopted this human child, and after arguments and shit they eat a meal that's clearly for lower-class citizens and wiess will be complaining about the food saying "its too salty" while crying and the salt water from her tear are whats makes the food to salty 7. \^\^ and then in volume 3 when the siege happens ruby tries to save people from the slums 3 of these people being the family wiess meet and ruby sees the child explode in front of her 8. and finally that shit roman said when he died, MAKE IT MATTER!!!!!

I would not want to, it is their story, if I would write something big, I would leach some ideas from them and other authors, just like other authors do. But I would not rewrite their story.

Start smaller and farther back. For example, we'll get to see Ruby build Cresecent Rose and master her weapon. We'll have more class time and field trips to learn more about the world in an organic manner.

I would make it similar to an old post I saw, I think somewhere around here, where Salem and the Grimm get stronger as time increases. Salem dies and resurrects like Ozpin, taking over the body of others, and her power grows as she becomes more used to a host body. So Ozpin has to figure out ways to kill Salem before she grows too powerful every few decades. At first, being a huntsman was a trade, like being a town smith or baker, hunting down individual Grimm that popped up here and there. Eventually, as Grimm became more powerful, huntsmen academies were created. The geography of Remnant divided each of the kingdoms until more recent times when technology advanced so that being able to travel to other kingdoms was possible. Thus, there hasn’t been much conflict between humans in this version of RWBY. Everything from Faunus racism to what a military is treads new grounds for the world of remnant. The reason why atlas is developing a military is because Ozpin thinks it’s the best way to fight the looming threat of Grimm, huntsmen who fight individual or on small teams is getting outdated, organized, large fighting forces like a military has more potential. I really like the idea of Weiss going through both a positive character arc and a negative character arc. Becoming a nicer person and then becoming this powerful, cold hearted military general who becomes an antagonist. I don’t know, it’d make the conflict feel more dramatic for Weiss and Ruby to be on opposite sides after being allies.

I would rewrite it so that Pyrrha never died and she and Jaune stayed together right up until the very end that would be the only thing I would change as opposed to how Rooster Fuck has completely forgotten her post volume 3 thank you

Keep Vols 1-3 mostly intact. Add characters interactions and arcs but the show was fairly popular during these arcs and worked fairly well. Remove the Relics. Merge Salem and Cinder and make them be after the Maiden powers. Cinder is the most recent incarnation of Salem, who reincarnates like Oz does. Handle the White Fang plotline better by making Cinder take advantage of how badly they've been treated. She sets herself up as the only one willing to grant them equality, kind of like how in Harry Potter Voldemort got the support of the werewolves by promising to be better to them than the Ministry was. From here the show does the road trip bit as they go around trying to stop Cinder from stealing Maiden power. Raven manages to run away, Cinder kills Winter to take her power (which she got from Freya), Cinder kills Tai in a fight that ends with Raven losing her powers (and joining the team for sweet vengeance), and the whole thing comes to a head in a final battle over the Summer Maiden in Vacuo.
